Absolute nightmare. Please read my story and stay away. My solar panels were installed in February 2023 and I sit here today still waiting for them to be activated. The beginning of the story was not there fault. My original company, Harness, went under after the panels were installed. I was happy to hear that a new company had taken over within a few weeks of the announcement. Little did I know this nightmare was just beginning. When I started with Infinity I was given a name of someone who would be managing my project. During the 8 months I have worked with them she has responded 1 time. I have reached out over 50 times. Every time I call customer service I get a new person with a completely different story as to why we had no moved on anything. I asked for a manager every time, but was always told that it was not an option. After months of calling for updates, and hearing nothing, I was told finally that we would schedule a final inspection. Lets go through how those went: 1st inspection - They all showed up and realized my system was not connected (would have thought they'd look at that first). Was told they would reschedule 2nd inspection - nobody showed up -I had to call them to learn it was cancelled after I took the day off work because they said I had to be here all day 3rd inspection - nobody showed up -I had to call them to learn it was cancelled after I took the day off work because they said I had to be here all day 4th inspection - the utility company showed but nobody from Infinity! Had to reschedule (missed work again) 5th inspection- everyone showed up! They did not have original permits wo we had to schedule again 6th inspection- finally everyone showed and we passed! We are all done! Now I just need to wait for the call from Infinity that we are all connected! Wrong! I just found out that they have no way to monitor if this is actually on. SDG&E sent me an email that I was connected but never heard from Infinity. So I called and they said I am not connected and they cannot figure out how they would monitor this. I am still confused about why this is. I asked to talk to a manager, but of course its not possible. So we sit here, with the panels on the roof for 8+ months, connected with SDGE but STILL not active. If I could climb on the roof and pull the panels down myself I would. Trust me if you work with this company you will regret it. Horrible service, project management with 0 accountability. read more

Infinity Energy has to be one of the worst managed companies I've ever dealt with. Here are a list of reason: 1. The salesman lied to me about what I will receive-installation timeline, monthly payments, service response, on my side until I'm up and connected, referral money paid, replacement of my main service/meter panel 2. They do not return their calls, even after they say they will. 3. They shield all upper management, so that you cannot speak to someone of authority. 4. When contacting customer service, they try to direct you to your customer service representative, who for me didn't answer my questions or would tell me she would call me but never did (multiple times). Who I asked repeatedly to speak to a supervisor and never was connected to one. 5. They show up to my home seven months after installation, three months without any contact, NO prior notification and want to do work that went against what I was told. 6. Shoddy and unprofessional workmanship -using a screw (not made for stucco) without an anchor to secure conduit to walls, using wrong tools to secure wires to disconnect bus preventing proper tightening or removal (stripped). I can not stress more that this company has the absolute worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. All it would have taken is one supervisor to step in and talk with me (the customer). read more

Stay away from this solar company. It took 9 months of just BS from start to finish. It started good, but the corporate office isn't even local, and they don't care about their customers, only the bottom dollar. It took them 5 months to get them to turn on my panels, while I was paying monthly for them, and they kept blaming other people in their company. They didn't uphold their end of the deal, installed the wrong electrical box, didn't install a EV plug as planned, left my brand new concrete stained with stucco, and the stucco job was done very poorly. Stay away from Infinity Energy and try to find another local installer or even going with Tesla or some national brands be better in this case. Here is my experience: My timelines: Dec 2021 - Signed the contact and paid the initial deposit April 2022 - Installation scheduled but couldn't complete install due to their design team messed up - the guy couldn't find space to put combiner box within 10 ft of main panel - application was sent back to design team to review again. May 2022 - Scheduled installation second time, and this time they had wrong equipment. My contract had IQ7A micro inverters, and they were putting less expensive IQ7+ ... I looked at the boxes by chance and caught it. They called the warehouse but were out of stock (even though contract was signed in Dec 2021, 6 months in). I was told it was going to take few weeks to order these and reschedule the installation after that. June 2022 - Scheduled installation third time, and finally were able to complete the installation. July 2022 - Completed the Audit/inspection, few weeks after I called their customer services and was told the PTO is applied and waiting on utility end and it will take at least 10 days Aug 2022 - Waited some time and didn't see any activity. Called customer service again, and this time was told that I was given wrong information last time, PTO is not applied, and they won't do that until all the invoices are paid. Paid invoices and then PTO was applied and the system was on after few weeks. So in total it took 9 months to complete the installation. Additional details: The salesperson was out of the picture as soon as the contract was signed without any transfer or other contact. No follow ups or updates on where the project is and why there were delays. I had to keep calling and follow up and most of the time there will be no response. Given all the delays, and not having the right equipment in stock, I asked them to upgrade to IQ8 but they kept saying they are not available and they don't access to these yet. But later I found out through my friend/neighbor who signed in Feb 2022 through the same company and was provided IQ8 and he experienced the same delays, 7 months. I asked for some recompense for all the delays and the sales guy agreed that they can do a gift card or something as the delays were on their end. But never received any update, after following up 2-3 times he told me his manager will call me. That never happened and he stopped answering my calls after that. Called the customer service and explained the whole situation and they gave me his manager's number, called him and left him a detailed voice mail. He never returned my call. At this point - the only people I could reach out was customer service, and they opened the case on their end to get a response from sales team but they never got any response. I still don't understand how their customers support couldn't get hold of their own sales people and to respond to this for weeks, even if the response is a no. When their customer service got tired of getting hold of their own sales people, they mentioned the sales team work as a different organization separate from customer service that I couldn't really understand and that it was not their fault the project was delayed - I was clearly lied to. I have the solar running now after 9 months wait and these issues could have been easily avoided with better organization and planning which they clearly lack. read more

Entire process was painless and the entire team at Infinity - starting with Kody and Jake - and continuing through the permitting folks and install crew - were great. Some guy who said his name was Hugo came to my house. Told him I wasn't interested. He kept talking and said he was with SoCal Edison. I pointed out that his shirt said Infinity Energy. He then said that Infinity has a partnership with SoCal Edison. I called Edison and they said they do not have a partnership with this company. Beware!! read more

Not sure who oversees these folks but they are coming to your house without masks on -- so disrespectful and not cool. Furthermore, they are leaving a sticker on your door one day that says you must get solar panels and then coming back the next day to say that they are following. First and foremost, do not come up to my door without a mask on!! read more

This is in regards to a gentleman who goes by the name of Darren. At first, I was hesitant to open my door as I was home alone with my child. But Darren distant himself from my door which made me feel at ease & was very polite. He wasn't pushy whatsoever. He gave me a good break down on how much my family can save & was completely honest. It's almost three months now since I signed the contract that my solar panels still not in operation. I was informed it will be turned on next week, then maybe the following week, then dead silence. No updates, I am the one who tried to contact them for updates, same response "maybe next week." Soon as they have you signed the contract you're on your own, the sales rep will no longer call you instead you have to call them for updates, at least this is what I am experiencing. I live in Temecula and I thought this company provides excellent customer service but I was wrong. Poor customer service is what I got. read more

You can understand when installing a massive SolarSystem on someone's house that there will be multiple issues during assembly, but I can't even start to tell you about the poor attitude and disregard for customers after the system has been installed and not functioning properly! They will ask you to sign off on the system before there is proof of function? Don't do it! We signed off on good faith that they would honor the system, and here we are months later and still no proof that the system is functioning the way they guaranteed? We've been in contact with our sales person multiple times, and it seems there's only so much he can do. I would like to bring to your attention a company that has been subpar at best. I have never followed the path of holding a company accountable- Frankly, that is because I have never encountered a business that was this disorganized. Unfortunately, in this instance, it is concerning a potentially very dangerous product if haphazardly installed. Please see below the scenario as best I can spell it out. I have filled out paperwork for official complaints with the BBB and the CSLB. After months of trying to get Infinity Energy to address my concerns and fix issues that have arisen over the several months since install finally started, I have been brushed to the side, ignored and after having the job inspected by another installer- have found out that the job is below standard and presents several hazardous situations. I have emailed my concerns several times and been ignored. I have had fire inspection fail twice and nobody at the company would fully respond to my inquires let alone tell me why they failed, if they did get back to me at all. Luckily, I was there for one inspection so that I could inform the employee that later came out why the inspection had failed. He had come out to do other work, then, tried to fix the issue of the failed fire inspection. He said I am not the kind of person that will get solar because I want to hear from more than one seller. He said people who shop around don't usually buy because then there are too many confusing details in their heads. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The original sales person was great. She was very patient, polite, and knowledgeable. Once the contract was signed and my project was handed over to the installation team, the nightmare began. The website claims that most jobs are completed within 45 days, we didn't even have the first crew show up until well after that time frame. When they did, they clearly didn't know what they were doing, started the job incorrectly, then disappeared not to be seen again until I called my rep and had her hound the scheduling team to get them back out. SEVERAL weeks of this back and forth (me needing to point out things that were being done incorrectly just for them to pull down and redo things, then disappearing promptly at 4pm until I made several phone calls to get them back out) occurred before I finally insisted they send a different crew out. When the new crew showed up, they immediately recognized that the job was being done incorrectly, and STARTED OVER. I am now 15 months into a project that was guaranteed (in the contract) to be done within 12. My yard is a mess. I have no idea when these new workers (who now seem to know what they're doing) are coming back, AND no one from the organization will return my calls. I have never written a yelp review before but feel obligated to let anyone else out there considering solar know to not use these guys. I am a middle aged man who's owned several homes, worked in the construction field, and dealt with a lot of nonsense, but this has been the worst experience dealing with any type of customer service company I have ever had. read more

Immediately after our survey was complete we had the Ring and Nest installed. So far we have been happy with the process and we cannot wait for our solar panels to be installed. Where's the zero star option? We allowed one of these sales man into our home and it turned into a complete nightmare. Back in September 2017 He came wearing an infinity shirt but was also selling Vivint solar panels. He ran a credit report for my husband and disappeared after his approval. January 2018 he came back and gave us a story about how he was between jobs and decided to go with Infinity Solar. This should have been a red flag but then he told us he had two kids and needed to "hustle" so us being parents had compassion for him. He gave us an amazing proposal of a 20 year fix price of 0.169KWh, able to remove the panels if we chose to and contract would end if we sold our home and new owner chose to not keep solar panels. He said our roof would have to be measured to see if we qualified and for that he would send us a $500 gift card. Our roof was measured we got the gift card but we kept asking him for a contract. He kept saying he sent it and maybe it went to my "spam" finally we told him we wanted a contract or would not be proceeding with the project, we wanted to see that everything he said was in writing. He emails us a contract and come to realized the contract was already SIGNED by my husband through Docusign. This salesman created an email using my husband's name and emailed to himself signed it and forwarded to Infinity Energy. When we reviewed the contract we found all his lies, a locked rate of .169kwh only for the first year then an annual increase of 2.90%, no removal of the equipment until after the 20 yrs and if we sold our home the next owners would have to agree to keep the equipment or we would have to pay the remaining years with a 3% discount. This guy kept trying to trick us telling us my husband had signed the contract and we "forgot" he said he just updated the "date" on the "old contract" which is extremely illegal if that was the case but my husband never ever signed a contract to begin with. I am not going to sugar-coat it or exaggerate facts are FACTs this guy FORGED a legal-binding document and it was going to affect us in many ways if we did not catch-it in time. I am beyond pissed that this company does not verify contracts that are sent to them. I guess it's to their benefit if they get contracts and they can care less how the contracts were obtained. I am beyond mad that we allowed someone so vicious into our home and this Justin Bradley (name of employee) decided to try to scam us this way. We were told by the company to just mail back the gift card and they will handle the situation with their employee after doing an "investigation". I am not paying anything to mail anything back they want their card they better send me a postage to send it back. It is absurd what happened to us and I highly doubted that this is an isolated incident. Be very careful when dealing with this company. You've been warned!!! You might get scammed into a contract. Good thing Docusign has a good Tracking system. They just taught us to never open our door to solicitors and never EVER trust anyone. I was in complete shock, didn't sleep for a couple days and felt super angry and unsafe. What is this guy capable of? While I understand that this is door to door leads business, I am baffled at the fact that this sales rep opened the door to MY HOUSE without knocking first. For anyone that is iffy about solar I recommend Jayson, he knew everything about solar and didn't bs anything. I've dealt with solar companies before and they have fed me lies after lies. Jayson on the other hand was able to get our other solar company moving on what we needed. Told us how their system wasn't up to code and they didn't "own" our meter! Yea the other solar company told us that so we wouldn't add more panels with another company that was going to give us a better deal, that company being the one Jayson works for. A few month's back I had a salesman show up at my house, He said he was representing SDG&E !! Well I told him I wasn't interested because my house is only 990 sq ft. And I shut my door. Well fast forward 3 weeks down the road and I come home from store and low and behold he's in my house talking to my Husband! I immediately tell him we're not interested like I had told you previously, tells me it wasn't (BS) so my Husband says let me hear what he has to say!! About an hour later he finally leaves I go talk to my husband and ask hime " did you sign or ok anything " he responded no and do I proceed to explain everything that already happened !! My experience with this company was somewhat disheartening, I waited over 3 months for installation to begin on my home. And once it started it took another month before it was completed. In the mean time my electrical panel was upgrade to a bigger panel. The night they worked on it we lost our electricity in the house during the evening of all times while making dinner. The electrical box kept popping off. My husband went out to see what the issue was and needless to say it was a live wire that had not been screwed down in its right place. So when he tried to turn on the breaker the whole panel sparked! Within a week of my system being turned on to full solar service one of the panels stop producing and I wait approximately another month before it was fixed. For all the problems and issues I was told I would be reimbursed for the price of the electric bill for the month that it was late. To this day I never received the check only excuses!! read more
