To have gone this long without writing a review here is a sin! MY family LOVES infinite soups, we love the local friendly service along with the yummy tasting, tax free soup! (Because they only take cash) The soups here range from chipotle flavoring, spiciness, mild, watery to creamy and they range and alter their menus so often it's always a HIT. Prior to COVID, you can test samples to see what you'd like to take home but even without testing, you can really taste the flavor in every soup! What's not to like? I love how local this place is and how you're able to experience that on your way in, it's a small ma and pa shop that only allows 1-2 customers at a time due to space. You grab your soups, pay with cash and pick up your oyster crackers/spoons on your way out! Fingers crossed this place doesn't expand more than the two restaurants, yall are iconic! read more

I tend not give out 5 Stars and 1 Star ratings unless their truly earned. That being said Infinite Soups cracks the mold for me. It shatters it in fact. I can truly say, BEST SOUP I'VE HAD. Even pulling up I knew that I was one the trail to something, like a Vice deceive sniffing out Colombian drug lords in the Florida Key's. On this lovely occasion I tried the Spicy Chicken Curry which I am here as a walking testament to its greatness. It was hot, it smelled amazing, it was creamy, it was full bodied, and it tasted better then Gammie's secret Yam's. My only wish was that the curry could've been a little spicer then again we do live in a State with the spice palette over a new born baby born 7 minutes ago. I cannot get enough of that meatball soup. I'm not as some people complaining about the salt content. I'm sure those people don't know what flavor is anyways every time I've gone in there I've been very pleased the staff is very nice the soups are very hot. Soup. I'm generally not drawn to it on a menu but I've eaten here twice now and it is truly amazing. We bought 5 different soups for for of us last Wednesday and we each had a small taste of the different concoctions. You truly cannot go wrong with any of them. Our overs favorite was the creamy chicken tortellini but I think all the creamy soups looked fantastic. Tomato meat ball was unctuous and also a showstopper. This is a small walk in establishment that serves a variety of different soups daily. After hearing so much rave about this place, I had to try it myself. When I walked, I noticed it was an open kitchen, but the kitchen looked greasy and grimy. The 2 lady servers/chef/owner did not look very friendly. Just the vibe and atmosphere of the place wasn't very welcoming in my opinion. As for the soup, there were so many choices to choose from but the curry potato soup was what caught my attention. I love curry and potatoes together but usually as a dish with rice. I never had it as soup by itself, just because the taste and spices from the curry is savory and strong which makes the flavor very overpowering to be consumed by itself. Which is why it should be paired with something more subtle and mild in flavor like bread or rice. So this is definitely a new experience for me. And I have to say I was right. The soup was very rich and too salty. It needed something to balance out the flavor which was why I was looking forward to the potatoes. But to my disappointment there were barely and pieces of potatoes. I only found 4 tiny bits of potatoes in my soup. I thought this was a curry potato soup. They skimped out on my potatoes. read more

Love going to both this spot and the one tucked below the downtown USPS Bldg. Soup is always hot, delicious and totally worth the trip. Anytime I'm working in downtown Tacoma I'll divert to here for lunch (especially on a cold or wet day). They have a different selection each day- check on their Facebook page ahead of time to see daily list. 4 different categories: creamy, non creamy, vegetarian and vegan. If you want to sample between a few they will let you. Be warned CASH only!!! They do not take cards here. Soups are simmered all morning and man can you taste the love and genius of the creator. I've tried so many of them and they're all delicious! One of my favorites is the coconut clam. SOOOOO GOOD!!! KETO PEEPS! If you're doing low carb or keto there's not really any "100% compliant" soups but if you have some wiggle room you can get around it (eat around the carrots, potatoe, pasta, etc they're hearty size so easy to do. Avoid rice soups though as this is infinitely harder ). The meatballs do contain breadcrumbs. If you have any questions about ingredients the staff is knowledgeable and will help direct you towards the best choices. If you're a carbavoire and frugal go early and get day old bread, rolls and biscuits for 1/2 price. read more

Infinitely. The. BEST! I've been going to Infinite Soups somewhat regularly for several years now. This place has a simple concept: it's a cash-only, soup-only (well, and bread too), to-go only restaurant-- and it is AMAZING. The menu here changes daily, but there's always such a fantastic variety of soups to choose from that the most difficult part is making up my mind which one I want the most on any given day. Luckily, samples are offered to help the customer make up their mind! 'Categories' include: creamy, non-creamy, vegetarian, and vegan. There are spicy options, traditional options, and 'oh my god where have you been all my life' options. Everything I've tried here has been fresh, flavorful, hot, and delicious. Pints are $6; they also have quarts and smaller sizes available. A few tips: Get here early if you want the best selection. After 12:00 or so, styles of soups start getting crossed off the menu pretty quickly as they run out for the day. There is no seating available inside Infinite Soups, but there is an arrangement with the bar next door (Malarkey's) for customers to use the ample seating there. I don't think it's required, but it would be polite to at least buy a beverage if you do so. Ditto for Corina Bakery across the street. Wright Park, just a block up the hill, is a great place to enjoy your soup (when its not raining). Don't forget, this place is CASH ONLY. Cheers! read more

They make the best soups. Its so hard to decide on one so I always get at least 2. They are always busy because they are the best, so get there early before they run out of the good stuff! Definitely 5 Stars! Duh! A Tacoma staple, if you're in Tacoma you MUST try Infinite Soups. They're the definition of a "hole in the wall". No seating available, and they are cash only but they make THE BEST soup and it's made with love. A cup is only $5 so every time I go I load up and try 2-3 different flavors. I've yet to try one I DIDN'T like! They're all soooo good!!! From creamy to vegan, they are allergy friendly and have a soup for everyone's tastebuds. Once a soup runs out for the day that's it, it's gone. I recommend going early in the day while they have all their options still available, sometimes they run out quick! There's no designated parking, but I can usually find parking on the street pretty easily. They have great flavors and great spices is very comforting and healthy I wish there were more infinite soups! You can get great soup here the atmosphere is down to earth and local they play great music on a record player and it's a grab and go place there is no sit down dining it's more for takeout only but they give you great bread rolls complementary crackers at a great price! MOST AMAZING FLAVORS!!! I ended up leaving with 5 pints of different soups because I couldn't decide: Creamy Red Lentil soup, Creamy Garlic Mushroom Potato and Sausage soup, Meatball soup, Creamy Southwest Spicy Sausage soup and Creamy Curry Chicken! I was not disappointed with any of them but my favorites were the Meatball and the Red Lentil. All the soups had very distinct taste, not like some places where all the soups flavors taste the same. Also I tried one of each of the fresh baked breads: corn bread biscuit, multigrain mini loaf, and the sourdough mini loaf. All were sooooo good especially the sourdough, plus you have to have something to dip in your soup!!
