Sesame chicken
Faatima M.

Sesame chicken was only 1 of the best things too eat! Lots of honey & LOADED!!!!!! With sesame seeds which I love but maybe not all. The stir fried veggies had just enough sauce & tons of different veggies which is a super nice change compared to most places these days. The miso soup had a nice flavor but it's not the traditional miso soup but still good. The chicken Katsu was extremely good & the sauce. Fried just perfectly crispy & our water taste clean!!!! Will differently be back to try more in the future.

I stopped by here for a late lunch and I'm glad I did! The restaurant is clean, the lady who took my order was nice and the food came out fast. The portion size was way larger than I expected and I got two meals out of it. The teriyaki sauce wasn't overly sweet or salty, the rice was soft (not dried out like some places I've been to) and I loved the large salad that came with the meal. They serve a bowl of broth with tempura batter when you dine in. It was unexpected and much appreciated. I'd eat here often if this place was closer to home.

General Tao's Chicken

Totally satisfaction. Tasty, cheap, free soup - great deal for everyone. I tried here teriyaki chicken, and general Taos chicken - it was great every time. I've been in the better places, but it is far away from here. In my opinion, this is the best place for cheap lunch/dinner in Lakewood.

Excellent teriyaki place. I spent $5.75 on a bowl of soup, salad, chicken teriyaki and rice. There was so much food on my plate and it was only a lunch portion! And to top it off, it was amazing. Bang for your buck for sure, I will definitely be coming back. Don't change a thing!!

Pleasant speedy Service with smile! Food is great tasting, looks just like their menu photos and is affordable. Dining room is welcoming bright colors but smaller quaint sized. (Just makes it the perfect spot for me to visit after a tiring day at work, with a friend or my hubbie) Take Out is Welcomed

I got the beef teriyaki, and it was amazing. Perfect amount of sauce for the meat and to mix in with your rice.

They have bangin food. I have never had better Asian takeout. If you want big portion sizes and plenty of flavor, you can't go wrong here.

Food was very good, however, do not use the prices shown here. Each meal is about $5 more. They need to correct this. Very misleading

Quick takeout or eat-in for not much money. Chicken teriyaki always moist, crispy egg rolls. Big menu. Friendly service.

Sushi Ya - Look how pretty! Yellowtail Lover and Amazing roll (back)

I stopped here on a Friday night for a solo dinner. I was the only one in the restaurant. I ended…read moreup having some of the best sushi I've had in the U.S. I ordered the yellowtail lover which had spicy crabmeat, spicy yellowtail, avocado, cucumber, and jalapeño. I devoured it so quickly, it was amazing. I will 100% stop here again. The miso soup and edamame were included and were also delicious. The young girl working also gave me an orange slice which I think was just her being friendly. She and the older couple making the food were so friendly and kind. Service was impeccable, food was delicious, and ambience was very calm and clean. This is a wonderful place to stop if you're craving sushi and living in the area. I hope it was just a slow night when I was there, because they deserve a lot of customers!

Such a cute little spot! We only planned to stop in for a quick lunch and a small bite, but…read more.. yeah, that plan did not stick. The place was super welcoming, and you can tell right away the fish is fresh. They started us off with miso soup and edamame on the house, which was such a nice touch. We ordered the Super Dragon Roll and the Spider Roll--both were great. We also tried the Super Crunch, which was just okay compared to the rainbow Roll. The real surprise though? The green mussels. Absolutely divine. To top it all off, they brought us peeled orange slices at the end, and it was the perfect, refreshing finish to the meal. Came in for a quick lunch, left very full and very happy. Will definitely be back if we are ever in Seattle again.

When I opened the box, I was moved. I could tell how delicate the chief worked on this Chirashizushi. Love the size of sashimi that easy for me to pick up with rice. The freshness is perfect. I am not a foodie, I am just an old fashion Japanese food guest. I don't quite understand why sushi rice needs furikake, and why fukujinzuke was served together with Gari? However, it doesn't ruin the taste. Thanks chief for the beautiful presentation and delicate food. I want to come back again for Chirashizushi.

Appreciate that there is quite a bit of parking in this area and that there are many seating tables available. We were the only ones in this restaurant during the afternoon time on a weekday, so very quiet. I liked that the staff did not rush us to order and helped us with suggestions on what to get. This place is definitely known for its appetizers as I got this different type of dish with deep fried rice and its various toppings, haha ! if you are indecisive in what to order, get appetizers, as brought up by our waitress. such a good idea!

5 out of 5 AYCE for sure! First time visiting Sumo Sushi & Grill last weekend with my family and we…read morehad such a great experience! (FYI, for weekends and holidays, you'll be charged the dinner price all day). Since it was our first time, our server kindly explained how the ordering system works. You place your sushi orders through one phone with a limit of 15 items every 15 minutes. Drinks and refills are recommended to be ordered directly through your server so they don't take up item slots. Even if you order less than 15 items, you still wait the 15 minutes before placing another round. It sounds a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty simple! One of the cutest parts of the experience was having our food delivered by a little robot server with a cat face. Just make sure to grab the food from the section glowing blue so you don't accidentally take another table's order. Super fun and honestly memorable! By the time we were getting full, my family joked that the cat face looked menacing, because we were hoping no more food would be brought to our table lol. The orders don't all arrive at the same time and some can be delayed, so I'd suggest somewhat trying to keep track of your orders if you don't want to go overboard. The sashimi was delicious and the portions are HUGE, so definitely pace yourself because they do charge for leftovers. My son got a little too excited and overordered, so we ended up paying the leftover fee. However, I was genuinely impressed that Sumo Sushi actually allows you to take leftovers home, even with the fee included. I mean, you'll have to pay the fee either way, but I've never been to an AYCE sushi restaurant that allowed leftovers as takeout before. I really respect how serious they are about reducing food waste. They also have a small buffet section you can grab already prepared/cooked food from while waiting for your sushi orders. My absolute favorites were the miso soup, seafood boil(?), and the tempura fish that lives rent free in my head (I should have asked if I could order that fish for takeout!). They also had other hot foods, meats, and seafood options that were tasty. The dessert section was more basic (flan, jello, fortune cookies, etc.), so I skipped dessert this time (besides the fortune cookies hehe). The service, in general, was fantastic. While we were dining, a child nearby celebrated a birthday with their family and the staff went ALL OUT singing happy birthday with light-up decorations and so much energy. It was adorable and way more effort than most restaurants put in. My only small critique is that the "French Fries" listed on the menu are actually sweet potato fries. They tasted good, and I normally like sweet potatoes, but it definitely caught us off guard because it wasn't what we expected. When we left, the staff kindly said goodbye to us, including an older gentleman near the door who consistently seemed focused on customer service and even asked if we wanted condiments packed with our leftovers. We had such a lovely experience and I would consider Sumo Sushi as probably one of the better AYCE sushi spots in the area. We'll definitely be back!
