INTO THE HAZE 6.2% - HAZY IPA
Daren R.

Found this place in downtown Ocala off the beaten path. A lively brewery, the kind that instantly feels like the heart of the neighborhood. The space is buzzing with energy, yet it's also cozy. You hear the clinking of glasses and the occasional burst of laughter. The bar is long, made of polished cement, with gleaming taps lined up against the wall, offering a wide variety of craft beers--IPAs, stouts, lagers, sours and seasonal brews. The air smells faintly of hops and malt. Behind the bar, the bartender Sedgrick is smiling, chatting with regulars, and pouring a perfect pint. The "Into The Haze" IPA 6% was super cloudy which was fantastic and the "Raspberry Witfinite" 5.5% was perfectly tart. To one side of the brewery, there's a game room which is filled with classic pinball machines and adult board games.. People are gathered around, laughing and competing, while others lounge nearby with their beers, enjoying the casual, playful vibe. Circular wooden tables perched atop genuine aging oak barrels creates a warm, earthy atmosphere. The interior boasts a timeless design, with natural wood finishes and cozy accents that evoke a sense of comfort and charm. For larger gatherings or a breath of fresh air, the spacious outdoor patio provides additional seating, perfect for enjoying the surroundings with friends or family. Whether you're here for an intimate cold brew or a lively celebration, this venue offers the ideal setting for any occasion. The bathroom was functional while sporting industrial themed cracked cement flooring, ultra thin toilet paper, a broken urinal, in addition to a toilet splash guard that needed to be discarded.

Witfinite Blueberry at Infinite Ale Works, Ocala

A quiet evening here, I stopped in at around 4pm on a weekday and was the only patron for a bit while I sat with my laptop to unwind with an adult beverage after driving this far from Orlando. Infinite has a selection of about a dozen or so beers, including a Belgian quad, a couple of stouts, a pale, and some IPAs. After a taste, I selected their "Witfinite Blueberry" that is a wheat beer flavored with fruit. The fruit was subtle enough for me, not overwhelming the beer. A chill spot with a place for live music and some bar games, this was a nice spot to relax. There is a dirt parking lot in the back and probably some street parking. Welcome to one of Ocala's little gems. Anyone who has grown up here can attest to the ch-ch-ch-changes happening in Ocala at the moment and for us youngsters, it's exactly what was needed. A supremely casual brewery in the middle of downtown Ocala with the best kind of parking around (free parking!). With a selection of over 25 brews unique to IAW, one cannot go wrong. From light and crisp to sour perfection to hazy and bitter--they've got it all. Come by yourself, come with friends, come with your dog--no matter who, you'll feel welcomed and comfortable at IAW. The staff is great and lovely to chat with (Aaron, I'm talking about you!) Some nights they have live music and others a jukebox for your music monopoly tendencies--they even have food trucks sometimes! If you're living here or just passing through, come by Infinite Ale Works! It's a must try.

Saturday night and we were craving some good craft beer so we decided to make a stop. Nicely decorated bar with some bar seating, hight top tables and 3 big tables that you could share. They were playing live music and the singer was great! We opted for a flight with 4 options, they were all either to bitter or a little too hoppy for my taste and I ordered wheat beers. My favorite was the Verano but i couldn't finished the rest. Bar tender was wonderful and let us know that not all beers in the menu were available.

I'm not even sure if they have bites to eat since the live band and the beers on tap were so amazing I didn't even get to ask. The service here is top notch they see your glass nearing empty and they will always attend to you. The ambiance is so chill and fun. They have a game area, the bar is a great place for convos with staff and if you just want to chill and look at the passerby people you can sit outside or inside at one the various picnic tables. HIGHLY would recommend.

Cool and very nice craft brewery in Ocala. An amazing selection of beers and fantastic service along with the ambiance. Prices are very reasonable but the beer is what makes this place worthwhile

Into the haze was excellent. Service was exceptional! As NJ resident and brewery explorer, I was impressed.

I drove up to Ocala from Tampa last weekend and stopped in at Infinite Ale Works, and boy was I glad I made it a point to visit. Aaron behind the bar made me feel welcomed the whole time I was there, and his friendly nature and knowledge about the beers just made for an awesome experience. Not being from Ocala, I can't say much about the location overall, but I will say this: it's a block away from an awesome local coworking space that I've used in the past, and is only a block or two away from what appears to be a nice little town square of sorts. Seems like a great spot. The brewery/tasting room seems like it's in an old building (possibly an old gas station/garage?), and it adds a good bit of character to the place. There's a decent bit of outside shaded seating, and the tasting room is pretty decently sized as well. I found it to be a pretty comfortable space. Plenty of windows keep it from feeling too dark, but the decor makes it feel very homey. The best part of Infinite Ale Works is definitely -- as it should be -- the beer. I commented to Aaron that I've been at places that had a good number of beers where one or two were outstanding, but this is the first brewery I've visited where every beer I tasted was unbelievable. My favorites: - Dan's Last Dunkel - Dunkel - Boysenberry Coffee Gose - Hoggetowne Dry Irish Stout - Raisin Pain - Belgian dark Strong The Raisin Pain was definitely the best beer I tried overall in my visit. It was so good I even took home a crowler. Probably one of the best beers I've had in the past year. I think Infinite Ale Works is one of the best breweries in the state, and without a doubt is a must if you're visiting Ocala. Great place, unbelievably good service, and amazing beers.

This is my go to brewery everytime I'm in this area... Why I haven't finished this review in the last few years, I haven't a clue... Maybe deep down I wanted to keep it my secret so the crowds wouldn't ruin the Very cool chill vibe... Not the biggest but sure is cozy and they brew some of the tastiest beers in Florida, In my humble opinion... And with 33 of their very own offerings there is almost guaranteed to something for everyone... Service is exceptional... Courteous, quick and entertaining.. Loaded with information and wit... So all that said, here is my review... Finally.. If your in the area, definitely give this place a try... You will not be disappointed.. Cheers.

Good selection of beers with an emphasis on Belgian styles. Enjoyed the Quad! Cool vibe and decent space. Service at the bar was sporadic.

Unfortunately for me I was looking for a brewery experience and Big Hammock is not that. They do have a good amount of local craft beers on tap which is a definite plus. They just didn't have any of their own beer. Maybe they are brewing, but if they are not, they should change the brewery in their name to brew pub because the name is definitely misleading. It is really awkward making this review, because I really did not get the full experience. I walked in, looked around, checked out the beer menu, asked if they had any of their own beers. When that answer was "no" I left. The end.

It was packed when we were there, but we were able to find 2 seats at the bar, which was perfect. We got to watch the short order magic happening in that tiny kitchen. Because we got to watch the food prep, we ended up ordering several dishes to split. I'd call it Asian fusion. We had a ramen bowl, some bao buns. It's a nice vibe. Murals on the wall, and doors that roll up for inside/outside service when the weather is nice. They do offer food takeout, so if you can't find a seat, have a beer while they put your food together to eat at home.

Midtown Station Sipping Grounds Coffee.Bites.Sips…read more I love to try new coffee shops being a coffee and early morning person this is important to me. I just love finding places that have a great vibe, good service and where I can feel comfortable and relaxed if I want to just sit and let myself breathe. For me this is often after an early morning workout so if you are one at 7am I'm very happy. I had passed by this place before when going to Tucsawilla Park which is directly across the street! That is a plus already because after you eat you may go enjoy a nice walk in the park and watch the ducks in the pond or go play Tennis if you'd like. Okay let's talk about "Midtown Station" this place is more than it lets on. There is ample parking for one so that's a bonus. You can sit outside and enjoy your breakfast if you'd like there are a few tables right outside and it's really quite lovely. When you go in there is a couple of places where you can sit comfortably and just relax as it's very quiet and feels so cozy. There are plants, games and very comfortable chairs and places to sit. Pillows and the most adorable decor that you'd think you were at home if it wasn't in such a large building. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, willing to make and create your order to your specifications. They have a pretty large variety of things you can have from breakfast to lunch, coffees of all kinds, smoothies, matcha, lotus energy drinks, ice teas, Arnold Palmer and so much more! The food variety is fabulous ! I haven't seen this much variety in a place that basically open from 7-3 Monday through Thursday, Friday 7-3:30, Saturdays 8-3:30 and Sundays from 8-3 doing breakfast and lunch it seriously surprised me. There are breakfast bites, pastries, sub sandwiches, salads or wraps, sandwiches, Wayne's pasta salad plate ( now I'm curious lol ) , Tapas that looked incredible and build your own breakfast! I mean what more can you ask for! The interesting thing about this place is that in the back it's a whole other place that opens at 11:am Tuesday through Saturday and offers other foods and drinks! I must go back a do a review to find out more. There is huge indoor and outdoor sitting area to enjoy your time too! I highly recommend that on a beautiful Ocala day or if you happen to be passing by stop by and say hello. You will be very happy that you did, I know I will be going back to this little piece of heaven! My breakfast biscuits and gravy delicious and fresh! I brought home to my son bacon egg and cheese on toasted sourdough. Needless to say he thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I also brought home these two amazing cookies and I'm eating the chocolate chip one now while finishing my coffee and it's absolutely phenomenal. Great job Sipping Grounds at Midtown Station you guys are awesome!

We had to see what we were missing, so we made the 45 minute trek to this unpretentious building on 36th Avenue in Ocala. The parking lot was full and we had to park way in the back on sand. That was a great sign! The restaurant is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside and with all the cars it didn't feel crowded as we expected. We were greeted and seated immediately. The place was clean and the menu extensive. I ordered the burger and my husband had a fish sandwich. The portion of the fish that was served was huge, but not cooked long enough in my husband's opinion. The burger was more bun than meat. Also, it had an odd taste which I compared to hamburgers served in a school cafeteria. Maybe because the burgers had been so hyped I was just bound to be disappointed. The coleslaw was to die for and I could've eaten just a bowl of that! We tried it and are glad, but it is definitely not worth the trip or the hype.
