The understanding was that the existing wood flooring would be removed so the new tile assembly would be installed over the subfloor. Instead, the existing wood floor remained in place and cement backer board and tile were installed over it. When I questioned this, I was told it was installed on the subfloor, this is not true. Then they told me that the original hardwood floor was the subfloor, this is also not true. I also experienced multiple issues with the tile installation. A cracked tile was installed even though I had replacement tiles available. When I raised the issue, they blamed me for not physically handing the installer the tiles because they didnt know where they were located. Which is ridiculous considering they were installing the tiles and know exactly where they are located. Later, additional tiles were damaged with a large circular cut that required further replacement. The checkerboard tile pattern was also installed incorrectly during part of the project. The wallpaper installation was another major concern. The wallpaper pattern was not aligned between panels. After I pointed this out, I was told the installers were not experienced with wallpaper installation and normally performed other types of work. The wallpaper was eventually removed, but I was informed that I would need to purchase replacement wallpaper because the original material had been discarded. They dumped their bucket of materials into my garden, caught on my security camera. During the entire process, I repeatably dismissed by rude workers and disappointed by what I viewed as repeated workmanship issues, poor communication, and a lack of accountability when I raised concerns. After I informed the company that I wished to end the project, the work area was left with construction debris and dust that I had to clean myself. They left all of the demo garbage in my garage and in my garden. If you meet either Gal, Tal (Tyler) or Priscilla Winters, I would personally recommend to run away. They were also the only ones that would redo the lighting in our place without dropping the ceiling. They also have a five-year warranty, which gives us peace of mind with such an expensive and major redesign. We had new solid wood floors installed, complete remodel for the kitchen with new cabinets, sink, island, and quartz wall tiles, added new appliances and they were able to add conveniences such as a pantry and more functional cabinet spaces. They also updated our lighting and electrical switches. Na and Sway were generally good at responding within a day or so of reaching out. There were a few times when we had communication issues, such as what was written in the contract, but we were able to resolve them quickly. I also commend them for helping with getting our Sub-Zero/Wolf appliances through the door even though they were not responsible for that and helping fix damages done by the ABW appliances delivery team. We would recommend them again, the kitchen cabinets, fixtures and lighting are very well done. Our condo is small so their ability to help turn the kitchen into a space a master chef would be proud of and is more functional and better floor plan is much appreciated. The finished kitchen has a wow factor for everyone who has seen it and could be in a design magazine. We intend to use them again for our bathroom remodeling jobs in the future.

Near the end of the project, we had an issue in our basement (unrelated to the remodel, a wall came down when we put up our own shelving) and they were able to come in quickly to completely reno the basement as well. Some of the highlights of working with Kitchen Master: - 5 year warranty. Enough said. - Great personal service: Na was super responsive, and helped us make decisions on finishes within my budget (even coming to the house with countertop, flooring, and cabinet samples based on a general idea of our style). I'm pretty indecisive so I have to give Na a lot of credit for putting up with my text messages that said things like: "Would this paint color look weird with the tiles I selected?" Or "idk, what do you think we should do with this space?" Her suggestions were definitely better than what I could come up with on my own. - Budget: Na and Sway really worked with us on our budget. We were able to get quality where it counted with no upsells, and spend less in areas that either weren't as important to us, or where the price is less of an indicator of quality. This was really important to me because I don't have the time, patience, or expertise to price shop for materials on my own. -Creativity: I had two contractors tell me they likely would not have the space to turn my powder room into a bathroom with a shower. When Na and Sway came over for the estimate, they very quickly identified that they could move the toilet and sink to another spot and knock out the pantry to make it happen. It looks amazing, and feels more spacious than before strangely enough. We also wanted to knock out part of our kitchen wall, but their were vents in the way making it impossible. They quickly came up with a solution to MOVE THE VENTS (!) at a lower cost than expected. - Professionalism and Quality: The end project was incredible and it feels like a different home. Na and Sway feel like family and I will definitely use them again.

Cosgrove and Sons recently completed a complete renovation of our master bathroom. We had been…read moreplanning this renovation for a few years and had gotten bids and plans from two other contractors, but were never able to come up with a plan which reflected what we really wanted done. After working with Stephen Cosgrove, we designed an Asian influenced bathroom which was just what we had envisioned and hired Cosgrove and Sons for the renovation. Cosgrove and Sons gutted our old bathroom, installed a new subfloor, tiled a wall, the floor and shower enclosure, moved a floor vent, installed recessed lighting, did electrical and plumbing work, installed a new tub, vanity, vanity lights and mirrors, faucets, towel heater, ceiling fan, toilet with washlet seat, hung up shelves and robe hooks, built a custom shower, built recessed wall niches for the shower and tub and painted the ceiling and walls. No subcontractors were used; the work was primarily done by two Cosgrove employees, Felipe and Miguel. They did a fantastic job. Felipe was careful to explain how things were being done and always consulted with me about any issues. Both workers were very polite and professional, cleaned up after themselves, and as a bonus, were nice to my dogs! The only real issue during the renovation was a delay in completing the shower enclosure. One of the pieces of glass was cut incorrectly twice, which delayed the project finish by two months, and when it was finally cut correctly and installed, we discovered that the piece of glass on the side was too tall, so there was another two week delay for a replacement. To make up for this delay, Lisa Cosgrove gave us free labor to replace all of our bedroom and front entry closet doors, which have been broken for several years, so I was happy! My husband and I love our new bathroom and are very satisfied with the work done by this contractor. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

We hired Cosgrove & Sons to handle a major renovation for us in the fall of 2015. They did a…read moreFANTASTIC job. We were very pleased with the quality of their work, which involved gutting the first floor of our old colonial, opening up walls and adding beams for structural support, building a brand new kitchen, adding a new powder room, and installing new windows, doors and wood flooring. We were also thrilled that they completed the project on time, in 10 weeks from start to finish. Phillip Cosgrove was our project manager, and he was excellent. He was on-site every day and did the bulk of the work himself with the assistance of one, sometimes two other employees, who were also great. He managed the various subcontractors and vendors who were needed for plumbing work, electrical, appliances, etc. He interpreted the architect's plans and didn't balk when we asked for a few changes mid-way through the project. When we encountered unexpected issues in the house (rotted wood, vents in odd places), Phillip and Stephen Cosgrove helped us come up with solutions and kept the project moving. We didn't live in the house during the renovation, but we stopped by almost every day and were impressed with how they contained the mess associated with a gut job and minimized disruption to our neighbors. We encountered a few bumps along the way (some miscommunications, some extra costs), but ultimately everything was handled professionally and to our satisfaction. It's been almost four months since we moved back into the house, and we couldn't be more delighted with the new space that Cosgrove created. We are very glad we hired Cosgrove for our renovation and would not hesitate to hire them again for future projects.
