INEX has a policy of "One Job at A Time" so the crew was here every day till the project was completed. They started with demolition work: removed old tiles, tub, sink & vanity, toilet, and an interior wall that was bumped out to fit a standard bathtub. We were very impressed by how they managed to keep the house clean during the demolition work. The crew was very professional, polite & tidy. They covered the floors at the beginning of each workday. Like everything in life, unexpected things were discovered and the team offered their professional opinion on how to handle them while keeping our cost down. Just that alone help us tremendously since they probably encounter those often. They fabricated a "Mud Set" tile shower floor "Which is one of their specialties" new ceramic tile flooring, installed vanity & top, and all other bathroom accessories, tiling looks FANTASTIC! We are very happy with our modern and clean looking bathroom. The cost of our renovation was around $9,600.00 - this is labor cost only. We decided to supply all the materials ourselves: tiles, vanity, sink, faucets, etc. We would be using INEX services again for the other 2-bathroom renew projects in our home. It was stressful to have to redo my shower, but the results are worth it. They made my shower even better than before and made sure things were done right. The understanding was that the existing wood flooring would be removed so the new tile assembly would be installed over the subfloor. Instead, the existing wood floor remained in place and cement backer board and tile were installed over it. When I questioned this, I was told it was installed on the subfloor, this is not true. Then they told me that the original hardwood floor was the subfloor, this is also not true. I also experienced multiple issues with the tile installation. A cracked tile was installed even though I had replacement tiles available. When I raised the issue, they blamed me for not physically handing the installer the tiles because they didnt know where they were located. Which is ridiculous considering they were installing the tiles and know exactly where they are located. Later, additional tiles were damaged with a large circular cut that required further replacement. The checkerboard tile pattern was also installed incorrectly during part of the project. The wallpaper installation was another major concern. The wallpaper pattern was not aligned between panels. After I pointed this out, I was told the installers were not experienced with wallpaper installation and normally performed other types of work. The wallpaper was eventually removed, but I was informed that I would need to purchase replacement wallpaper because the original material had been discarded. They dumped their bucket of materials into my garden, caught on my security camera. During the entire process, I repeatably dismissed by rude workers and disappointed by what I viewed as repeated workmanship issues, poor communication, and a lack of accountability when I raised concerns. After I informed the company that I wished to end the project, the work area was left with construction debris and dust that I had to clean myself. They left all of the demo garbage in my garage and in my garden. If you meet either Gal, Tal (Tyler) or Priscilla Winters, I would personally recommend to run away. There was never a complaint when I asked for something to be done the way I wanted it (example was lining up the tile seams on the wall with the seams on the floor). Just make sure you are there for them and communicate exactly what you want. 2-way communication is key to success with any contractor. One stand out situation that was handled well was a mix-up in the grout color between wall and floor. To their credit, the installers asked me what the colors should be before going ahead with the install. Good thing they did since the documentation had them swapped. If they had not asked it would have been a disaster; but not because of them. Thanks for confirming. Scope of our project was 2 full baths (new: tile, vanity, counter tops, lighting, mirrors, ventilation fans, shower doors), dinning room (new French Doors), 4 bedrooms (with closets and new ceiling fans), wood flooring (replacing carpet), and crown molding throughout. House age is 27 years. Location: Rockville Town Center. The result was a completed project to our liking on time and within expected budget. Quality of the work is very good.
