The first dress I bought from Iness was in 2010 , and I have been a loyal customer ever since. I bought a short evening dress that I still wear once in a while to weddings and baptisms and every time I wear it I get so many compliments. Very disappointed on quality and selection of dresses. Many of them were obviously damaged (snags, missing sequins and/or loose threads. My daughter researched this particular store because it carried Sherri Hill. However of the few we found, they too were damaged or had only one in a large size. The two sales ladies were polite and asked us if we needed help, but were more attentive to clients who spoke the same language. Thankfully, the only money we spent was on parking. Wow I am really surprised to see so many bad reviews! My experience with this store has been the opposite from bad. I have already bought 3 dresses from here (I just picked up one of them a couple of hours ago) and my mom bought her dress for my wedding here. First I have to say, their dress selection is absolutely amazing. I don't know if any of you follow them on Instagram but every day they have new arrivals. And every new arrival is more and more beautiful. The first dress I ever bought here was for my rehearsal for my wedding. It was a beautiful purple Tarik Ediz gown and I felt like a princess in it. That same day, my mom bought her dress for my wedding. It was a little big on her so she got it altered through Iness and she was over the moon excited with the results. Not to mention, she looked incredibly beautiful on my wedding day. The next time I came in to try on a dress I had been drooling for, for almost 5 months, they actually remembered who I was! Their customer service was on par and I bought the dress immediately. I was so excited they still had it. Lastly, about a month ago I came in to get a dress for my cousin's wedding this weekend. Iness and her dad (her dad btw is awesome, if you look at a dress that is last season, he won't even let you try it, because he knows that dress has been seen over and over! he really cares about his store and his customers) helped me pick the dress. I ended up ordering a beautiful custom made lace gown with beautiful Swarovski crystals on the lace. Iness took my measurements and told me the dress would be ready for alterations on February 5th. She advised me the alterations were included in the price of the gown and it would be ready before the wedding. On February 5th the dress was not ready but it would be ready in a few more days and the alterations would be done overnight (phew! cutting it close! but no worries, they are about as trustworthy and professional as they come!). When I came in to try on the dress, it didn't need alterations! It was absolutely perfect! My God I can't wait to wear it. I picked it up today, it is full of beautiful rose gold crystals and it has been ironed and placed in a really nice dust bag. This store is hands down my favorite store to buy dresses. I don't even bother going to Downtown. And I don't think I will ever bother again. I love this place. I strongly recommend checking out their custom gowns. The quality is amazing, the price is extremely reasonable considering they are custom made to you, and they turn out beautiful and headache free!!!!! And lastly, I don't understand all the bad reviews about their customer service. Specially the ones that say if you are not Armenian, you won't receive good service. I'm not Armenian and I got outstanding service every time I've been there. I can understand them being a little strict because they only have 1 or 2 sizes on each dress and I'm sure a lot of people walk in to play dress up and leave empty handed. read more

Save yourself the money and the time and DO NOT GO HERE! This place has the worst reputation amongst the armenian community and now I know why. To start with everything they have you can find in the fashion district in Downtown LA for half the price if not less. I went in by myself on a weekday to check out their inventory and when I first went in I was approached by the owner Iness and one of her staff members and they were very friendly. I picked up the dress I wanted and told her that I would be back with my Mom to finalize. She gave me a written confirmation of the material and the price of the dress that I wanted and I told her I would be back on the weekend to place the order and that her staff member would be there to assist me. I went in for the second time and no one greeted me or offered me any help. The person in charge was Iness's father ( EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL MAN) He had someone measure me (it was a custom dress order) and I took out my wallet to pay the deposit. The owner of the store told me that the dress would cost $450 and that's what I was prepared to pay. After the measurements were complete the told me that the dress would cost $600. I stopped him and told him that Iness had told me $450 and when I said that he threw down the booklet he had in his hand and he started literally SCREAMING at me telling me that I had no idea what I was talking about and that he has been doing this for over 10 years and he knows the prices. I was in shock at the level of unprofessional the this man was presenting me with. I won't even begin to start telling you guys the full story because it is disgusting. I turned to the employee that was there when Iness told me it would be $450 and said you were there what did she say? And she said $450 and the 70 year old man with a hanger in his hand started yelling at the employee with the hanger pointed to her face and screamed at there that she was new to the store and she had no idea what she was talking about. These people are a JOKE!!!!!!! The key to a LONG TERM successful business is to always keep your customers happy and act like a business owner not a incompetent idiot off the street. This store deserves 0 stars! Where to begin?!....My friends and I arrived at this store at 6:45pm and the sign said closed, but the door was open. We had called ahead and were told they closed at 7pm. So we went in and immediately were ATTACKED by the young girl that works there. She YELLED "WE ARE CLOSED YOU CANNOT TRY ON ANYTHING!" We all looked at her and said well its not 7pm yet and the door was opened. She immediately went and locked the door so no other person can come inside and she said we can look around that's all! Thats armenian for "ya so what's it to me!" I was dumb founded! But wait she and her father which was sitting down at the register continued by saying "we're not gonna sit here all day for you" are you shitting me?? They are so rude and the tone of voice is totally uncalled for! I cannot believe they run a business like this! Came to look for a dress for prom. Nobody was paying attention to me. When I was lucky enough to get someone to help me, she looked at me and told me that their dresses start from 450$( which is very pricey for many that they have). They didn't really offer me any dresses, the only one I tried, was too big for me, but they were trying to make me think that it is ok. Then, when I asked for smaller size in another color, one woman told me that they have it and left, when I asked the other one, she looked at me like I'm stupid and made it up and told me that they don't have it. Worst customer service ever. You have to beg them to get out of their chair and assist you in spending $700 for a dress. I went to buy an engagement dress and no one even asked what i needed. And when i showed them the pictures of the dresses i was interested in from THEIR store none was available. Just in case i wanted to order one, i would be stuck with the dress as FINAL SALE not knowing how it fits, if color looks nice, etc. Word of mouth travels quick so i suggest you work on your social skills a bit.
