horrible, the one positive is they will come late at night & last minute. however, they broke several of our things & acted like breaking our belongings should just be brushed off. All our boxes were labeled & by the end of the move they basically just threw everything in the living room pilled up or in whatever room they felt like. DO NOT EVER use this mover. I am out $4,365.00 to this company. I was planning an out of state move and he wanted 1/2 down. After researching Indy Movers, the trucks are not listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration website which is a big red flag. I reported Indy Movers to this Administration. I also have reported the company to The IN Attorney General's Office and their investigation is pending. I have unsuccessfully tried to get my money back. I had to call Thomas Carter 3 times and email several times and send text messages to get a break down of the $4365 charge. I received no inventory list from him after he went through my apartment. There was no written contract provided. All red flags. When he did finally send the break down of charges, he said the remaining $4365 was due that day which was 25 days before the move was scheduled. Red flag. After finally coming to my senses, I realized this was a shady company and would not allow them to move me. Also, if you look on the Indy Movers website when you google Indianapolis movers - a completely different website than if you google Indy Movers comes up - there is a picture of a professional looking white moving truck. That truck picture was found on a legitimate movers website which means to me Indy Movers photo shopped that picture. He said he would be using a U-Haul truck to move me. He owns a U-Haul business and the U-Haul address is what is on his business card. The Indy Movers website, when you google Indy Movers, shows an address of 9020 Pendleton Pike, Indianapolis, IN 46236 which he doesn't even own or go to. Very deceptive business and business owner. This experience has been a nightmare not to mention that it caused a real financial strain on me to lose that money and then have to pay a reputable company that I went with. We used Indy Movers last year to move us. We had them store our things for a month until our new home was built. Then they delivered everything to the new home. Let's start from the beginning. They arrived 2 hours late. They arrived with one truck when we were told two would be there. They told us a couple different lies on why that was. They broke one of our steps in our old home that we had to repair prior to leaving. They leaked oil in our old drive way. The employees smelled of a strong odor of marijuana. We complained about all of this at the time. Fast forward a month when they delivered our furniture. They had two trucks this time They were not the same trucks as the first time. You could tell they rented these. There were probably 5-6 people. Some of them were the same ones as before. Our perfectly fine bedroom suite arrived with black mold all over it. One of our dressers was completely broken on the bottom. Our newer dryer was dented all over the top. 90% of our boxes were completely busted open when they brought them off the truck. 90% of our glassware was broken. They broken our 65 inch television. They put three of our televisions in one box, but charged us for 3. In total they cost us over $7000 in damages. I called and called and finally reached the owner. He compensated us our second move which was around $3500. He told me that's the best he could do because they carry the bare minimum coverage for insurance. It took me 9 months to be able to write this review. I was so upset because we worked very hard for our things and they completely trashed it all. Horrible experience!! Unprofessional employees, no customer service, LAZY, rude, and did I mention LAZY?! They did NOT want to move anything. Tommy (the head mover) kept telling us how he couldn't move any more of our stuff. My family & I had to physically move our own clothes & boxes ourselves. The movers broke our couch moving it in the house. Didn't take ANY ACCOUNTABILITY for their poor & unsatisfiable service. Complete disaster. Do not ever use this company for anything! You will be disappointed. Horrible management & customer service from start to finish. The movers took countless smoke breaks. One of the movers was so unhealthy and out of shape, he could BARELY breathe & move around! Just a total mess. Indy movers desperately need to go out of business and never show their face again. Very very slow!! Damage to multiple items!! Damage to property! Didn't move everything!!! I still had a lot to move on my own. Excuses, excuses!!! Pieces of my items found in the middle of the street with their Gatorade bottle. Very disrespectful of your property! The customer service and accountability of this company is greatly lacking. The movers did an okay job once they showed up to our house nearly an hour late. They were friendly and courteous and did a relatively nice job with the lack of equipment that they were given. When I booked this move with Indy Movers, LLC, I was very clear regarding my expectations for adequate care of our furniture as well as for our brand-new construction house that we were moving in to. The truck, an old, converted U-haul that leaked oil all over our driveways, had six furniture pads on it! Our furniture was not protected at all. This resulted in a broken sectional couch and a master dresser that was completely scratched all over, especially on one side. Unfortunately, this is when the experience took an even bigger turn for the worse. When I contacted the office regarding the damaged furniture, I was promised a quick response to make things right. After hearing nothing for the next week, I called again and was told that someone would be getting in touch and that they already should have. When I finally threatened legal action a few days later after hearing nothing, I was finally contacted by Don. He told me that he would schedule to have our sofa fixed and would be sending us a furniture pen to "cover" the scratches on the dresser. This resolution, albeit not ideal, seemed at least like a first option at the time. This led to another period with no follow-up to get anything scheduled. I called multiple times and got the run around to which I finally told them that I was contacting an attorney. This again triggered them to contact me and notify me that they were sending us $450 to compensate us for the damaged items. There was zero accountability for their negligence and they have refused to respond to my inquiries since. Nothing more in regards to actually fixing our furniture. Do not make the same mistake that I did! Do not hire this company unless you want your move to become an even bigger headache. read more

This is the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. My movers were 2 hours late! The owner and the movers are extremely unprofessional! They took almost 4 hours to move a 1 bedroom apartment the only thing I had to move was a few boxes and a couch it took them four hours because they were stopping taking breaks and smoking cigarettes the whole time! On the way to the place I was moving the guys stopped to get a "cold pop" and took 45 mins to get to the new place! After discussing this with the owner she said I still needed to pay the $450 and charged my card for an additional $100 without my permission! I will never go with this moving company again and am in the process of filing a lawsuit against them! Please do not use this company they turned my move into a nightmare! read more

We hired a 3 man crew only 2 showed up. The leader of the crew was already making excuses why he couldn't move everything the day we scheduled. He told us he allotted 1 hour for loading, 1 hour for unloading and 1 hour for driving no matter if we only were going 20 minutes away. He stormed off, yelled and cussed in the parking lot and left. When we called Marcy her first words were " First off you never said anything about a piano" The piano is listed on the contract she sent us. The same crew showed back up and after I asked my fiancé what time it was he told me "The time starts at 1:30" I replied "No, it starts now" and he lost it again. He started shouting and walking towards me like he wanted to fistfight me. It's like why would I spend 600$ for 3 hours to only get a few things moved and not have all 3 people that I paid for. Why would I want someone who was so angry to be working to know where I'm moving to or handle my things. It was very obvious he had no intention of putting one thing on the truck and I have no doubt he would have thought of some way to start problems so he could storm off. I also believe that is why he never brought the third person. Marcy is polite until anything minor happens and then she starts screaming and yelling and blaming you, the customer, for her drivers aggressive and immature behavior.
