While…read moreup there last week to look at the chimney, I noticed 2 places, each about 2"x6", with clear manufacturer defect (one had no aggregate and the other had exposed fiberglass). Carlos came out today and replaced those sections. He also removed an unused Dish antenna. He noticed that mastic over nails holding the cover where the ridge cap sections come together had weathered and might not be tight - so he placed a patch over them. All for no charge. None of this could be claimed as warranty work. Carlos is just a good contractor who takes care of his customers long after the job is done. BTW, when the original work was done, the contract stated that if any sheathing needed replacement that would be an extra charge. As best I remember, two full sections of sheathing were replaced - but there was no extra charge. Carlos is the kind of contractor we all hope to find but rarely do.

They put in a new system but did not replace the 20 year old out-dated thermostat or even look at it evidently. The system failed a couple months later. We looked at the thermostat first and discovered that the batteries were so corroded that we had to pry them out with a screw driver. We called Superior and they said the they did not replace the thermostat because the one they would replace it with would be inferior. Really? We replaced the fuses in the system and could not get it to run, so we called them out to check it out. They had replaced the thermostat with a new one and said that the fuses were blown out. That seems funny because I just put brand new ones in before they arrived. They sent us a bill for over $300.00, which is probably not that bad, but when I went to check the work, they left the whole side panel off of the unit exposing high voltage capacitors and wiring. The cover was about 50 ft. from the unit in the front of the building. They also left the circuit panel door open in their hurry to get out of there. When a company lies to me and does shoddy work, I do not ever use them again, nor recommend them to others.

When I first thought I needed…read morea new roof, I got three bids, and Bob Vezer was the only roofer who told me I did not need a whole new roof, just some spot repairs. I made the recommended repairs and got seven more years out of that roof. I finally had it replaced this week, including pitched roof and a section of flat roof. The new roof is excellent, as expected. I interacted with the city inspector when he came to sign off on the job, and he confirmed: it's a very good roof. All of my interactions with Vezer's crews have been positive. To a man, they are courteous, neat and efficient. They do what they say they'll do when they say they'll do it (or sooner). And they don't just clean up their mess--they cleaned my whole patio! For the current re-roof, I got two bids, and they came in at almost exactly the same price, so I can attest that Vezer's pricing is competitive. They have earned my loyalty, and I highly recommend them.
