While working, they discovered our dryer vent was heavily clogged and not releasing lint properly, turning what we thought was just a routine cleaning into saving us from a genuine fire hazard. Without missing a beat, Frank and Mark walked us through the issue, installed new piping, and cleared out every last trace of built-up lint in addition to meticulously cleaning out all the air and bathroom vents throughout the entire house. I thought I had an appointment confirmed but then I was told because I didn't call someone back it was cancelled..then they showed up?? The guys were nice. Eli explained what they were doing. They were quick and efficient and they left everything clean. They did a great job. They explained what they did and what they saw that might need work And at that point, they walked out the door with a five star review. Here's where it gets dicey. When they came, my flue was open. Being widowed I've learned to make fires but I have never opened or shut the flue. It was open when they got there and when they left the last thing they said was "OK now you can make a fire". But they didn't tell me that they had shut the flue or damper. I didn't know it was a thing until I made a fire and my house filled up with smoke. Opening all the doors and windows didn't work. The fire alarm kept going off. I couldn't make it stop. I shut the glass on the fireplace. Ended up having to call the fire department. I had to get my cats and throw them out in the rain and wait outside. The fire dept confirmed the flue was closed. They opened it and they brought in big fans to air the smoke out of my house. It's still smell smoky. The worst thing is this was super traumatic for me. I didn't know why the house was smoky I didn't know what to do. I didn't have my husband or anyone to help and I was panicked. It was a really horrible experience except for the hot firefighters lol. Based on that they would get zero stars so I gave them 2

Not only did they clean the gutters, but they: -- Removed errant branches from my rooftop. -- Replaced the lost guard cover of a section of the gutter. -- Repaired the a ventilation pipe that was sometimes letting rain in above the kitchen. The workers proactively elicited my feedback throughout the job and completed all this within the initial cost estimate. I also used his service to purchase and deliver plants, and have him onsite to place the materials. This service alone is worth every penny; he moved plants and boulders around to the best aesthetic. After everything was complete, he came back for some fine-tuning and recommendations for my gardener. To save money I had my gardener do the installation but really wish I'd had the budget for a more extensive job done by one of Tyler's more experienced contractors. But I'm very happy with the result and recommend Tyler without hesitation. He's also a really nice guy and so easy to work with!

I was told it's not needed every year unless there are problems. But their policy now is of such if they touch my insert, even removing the glass to hit a reset button for the remote they would have to do a full inspection. So total Cost would be close to $600.00 when all that is needed is a remote. I did find a company to Come and handle the remote only but I would have rather stayed with Fireplace Tech. Disappointed
