They came out same day which I appreciated but I had researched cost, parts etc so I could be prepared. Their price was double of what other companies quoted, told me my compressor was broken & needed to be replaced. I called a different company for a second opinion. My compressor was FINE, it was simply the fan motor that needed to be replaced. The second company charged me half of what Castle charged, fixed the problem & didn't lie to me read more

There was a glitch after installation and the response was immediate. It turned out that an electrician had come out after them and installed some faulty wiring. They diagnosed and repaired the problem quickly even though it had nothing to do with their install. We had three bids and their bid was excellent! read more

Richard was incredibly helpful and informative. He only charged me for the call out as he told me that my system was too new to require anything else since I change my filters regularly. Very honest. read more

When our furnace was nearing end-of-life, we reached out to Castle for quotes on a replacement, a heat pump, and a dual fuel system, with some redesign of our duct work in the furnace room. We really wanted to go with a heat pump, but due to some circumstances that are unique to our house, we decided to go with a gas furnace replacement. We didn't make a decision right away, and Richard would check in with us on occasion, but wasn't pushy at all. Then, when our furnace gave out completely (in the middle of a cold snap in December), he was able to revise our quote quickly. We took three other bids; Castle's was the best on price and we liked their maintenance program, which we plan on purchasing. We also appreciated the time taken with us to answer questions and commit to a timely install. Key to decision was their proposal to a required change in furnace configuration and redesign / alteration of the ductwork. Even though we were in the midst of the holiday season, Castle committed to get the job done before Christmas, and did just that. The install team was professional and efficient, and a pleasure to work with. Thank you! read more

Our air conditioning unit outside our house shut down. They came a few days after our inquiry and were very professional and friendly. Thankfully it was something that they could fix and just needed to replace a part. They installed the new part and made sure that everything was working fine inside the house. Thank you Richard and Roberto. You guys were great. I will definitely call on you again for future needs. read more

They did a fantastic job, gave lots of information on options & kept us informed of their progress. They worked fast & clean. Highly recommended read more

Richard and his team helped me through a one-off project, moving the furnace from a closet off the hallway up into my attic. Richard was fantastic to work with before the project started and communicated seamlessly throughout. I was so pleased with the work Castle did that I immediately referred him to multiple family members for various HVAC needs. I have no hesitation in saying that I have my HVAC contractor figured out and Richard will be getting my first call if anything comes up. read more

Castle Heating and Air were fantastic to work with. They were prompt and efficient, thorough and did excellent quality work. They left my home probably cleaner than they found it. Their price was right in line with other companies but they really went above and beyond to earn my business. Would 100% recommend and go to Castle again in the future. read more

Richard and Roberto did an amazing job removing my old furnace and installing a new dual zone American Standard furnace and Bosch heat pump at my home. They priced the job fairly, did amazing work, were extremely respectful and professional and HONEST! They did not rush the job, cut corners or anything and showed. incredibly pride in making the installation aesthetically pleasing and clean. My new unit and thermostats work perfectly and they are so quiet and efficient. I cannot recommend Castle Heating and Air enough. You won't be disappointed if you choose them for any HVAC needs. read more

After getting many quotes from companies to replace our aging heater, we had Richard from Castle Heating & Air come to our home. He was very open and honest as to what he could do for us. My husband and I both knew right away he was our guy. He came ready to get our new heater in and working in a day. So refreshing to have an honest, hardworking crew do amazing work. Can't recommend them enough! Thank you so much Castle Heating & Air! Kimberly & Frank Lambert Guerneville, CA read more

We originally discovered Castle through the Bosch website Dealer Search. We hadn't heard of them before, but we liked what they had to say on their website (seemed like good people) so we had them come out to discuss the installation of a new Heat Pump. We got bids from a few companies, but Castle really stood out as trustworthy and the type of people you could rely on for friendly post-purchase support. Even to create the estimate before getting the job, they spent at least an hour at our house examining the old system, taking measurements and crawling under the house and through the attic. AND they were happy to come out twice as I had follow-up concerns with where to put the outdoor unit due to my irrigation set-up and electrical panel. Richard was super patient and more than happy to answer any questions we had. By comparison - the two other companies that came out to bid didn't even enter our home. They were sizing our system needs based on their gut, which wasn't confidence inspiring. The actual demolition and installation phase was amazing. They were fast, yet thorough and kept everything super clean! Before this project, I failed to appreciate how many pipes, hoses and electrical lines are needed for a heat pump to operate. So I was super impressed with how Castle was able to keep everything running in tight lines, with minimal visual clutter. We encountered one issue with the operation of the unit about three weeks after installation (it was tripping off) and they came out immediately to trouble-shoot and resolve it. Works flawless now. Richard said to me multiple times how important it was to him personally for us to be happy with the system and everything he did reinforced that statement. We highly recommend them! read more

Castle Heating & Air - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me

What a wonderful experience. Richard and his team were nothing but wonderful - from the initial estimate, to the finished product. Price was competitive yet fair. Our home was built in 1976 and needed a complete overhaul. The team was hard working, polite and very accommodating. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for heating and a/c. read more

If you want an honest and job done right, Castle Heating & Air is the company to call. We had a few companies come out so we can get pricing on an HVAC system and one of them didn't even want to take the time to walk through our home. I was honestly starting to feel quite discouraged. They told us due to our very small crawl space and extra add on to our home, that it would basically be near impossible to do what we wanted. That was not the case with Castle Heating & Air. Richard was very thorough and told us what to expect with the whole process. He did an amazing job and we could not be happier with their service! I recommend this company 1,000 percent! read more

Richard was great to work with. Needed some work done on my AC and they were able to squeeze me in. Great guy, very professional and thoughtful. Richard is a partner and guide for heating and air. I had an entirely new system go into a 1973 house without ducting. Richard and his team were excellent across the board. Family oriented and non predatory sales approach. The owner is doing the work himself so you know you'll get the best customer service and overall execution possible. Great price and takes the time to answer all questions. I highly recommend working Richard over any large company who will over charge you and give you decent customer service at best. Thanks Richard and Roberto. Wishing you both the best on the journey ahead building Castle. read more

My mom lives in Petaluma and her 50-year old furnace was in need of replacement. I worked with Castle Heating & Air to set up an initial assessment and quote for a new furnace. The quote was competitive, so I went with Castle Heating & Air. There were some delays with the supplier, but Richard kept me in the loop on this. My mom was anxious to get her new furnace in, and Richard did his best to expedite the install. I have been impressed with the quality of work, attention to detail, solid communication, and responsiveness of Castle Heating & Air. As a big fan of small businesses, I also love their story (check out their website) and can't help but root for their success. read more

After about 6 bids I decided to go with Castle Heating and Air primarily because of his story about his experience and his desire to build a business where his sons could follow in his footsteps. When he came to do the estimate I was impressed by his knowledge and his work experience. It's easy to hesitate on spending several thousands of dollars on somebody new in the business but Richard was on time, efficient, and very competitively priced for our particular installation. I would highly recommend Richard and Castle Heating and Air! read more
