Fantastic service and a military discount. Totally took care of my needs and at a great price, too. Simply put outstanding.

My 13 year old mostly trusty Toyota is having an ongoing headlight outage issue. I have never had…read moreproblems like this with previous vehicles, and I never wanted to know this much about effing car headlights. Honestly. The past year or so I have had it at the dealer multiple times anyway so I have just had them replace the light while they are doing other stuff. If it's a month or two ( or less) between burning out I have asked for free replacements and gotten them, but a couple of times I have paid and they have run between $25-70 to get a new light. The fancy ones only come in twos and they have burned out faster. They were supposed to last longer. Taking the thing apart to fix the electrical issue is about $2k is what they told me. Um. Nope. I would just buy a new dang car. So, I have been pulled over by police and "warned" for burned out lights and I have been what I call " light bombed" by dutiful citizens who make it their gd mission to tell me my headlight is out. This last week a crochety elderly man and his little terrifying yappy dog waited patiently in my driveway for five minutes during the day for me to exit my car, just so he could proclaim my bulb's dead state to me and the universe in general. He told me how " dangerous" it was. Sigh. I called the dealer to price the part. $24.99. I called the service desk at the dealer. Voice mail. They are slammed on Saturdays. I do not have a weekday option since I have rejoined the workforce recently and have minimal time available. I called Autozone. No answer. I called O'Reillys. The nice young man told me $12 and said, "Do you want us to put it in for you? " Sold. I drove there, a nice female assistant manager who was surrounded by 3-4 young men shooting the bull ( the store was a bit empty) took my info, went and got the bulb, it was $12.99. She asked me if I wanted her to put it in. ( I looked at my male friend whom I had brought to do that, and he shrugged). She grabbed a glove, headed out to the car, rushed back to open the door for me after he dropped it in my face ( I mean I loved that although I coulda gotten it) , and she popped the old one out and the new one in. Easy peasy. She also threw away the packaging and the old bulb. My companion would not have I am sure. All done. Cheap. Fast. Awesome. Also, it was aligned properly with the other headlight which is like...well all the other times they were crooked. O'Reillys for the win, man.

You guys expect people to hold a receipt for 2 years when you can clearly see the fuckin battery is from Napa lol Obviously the batteries from Napa. You guys should take it back without question and replace it. I won't ever spend another dollar here again, Edit.... I just contacted the forest grove location and they will take this battery with the commercial account it was purchased under. You guys should tell the guy working behind the counter he can go fuck himself for not explaining this and kicking me outta the store for trying to explain that we spend hundreds of thousands of dollars a year with you guys. I am a life long Biker and do most of my own wrenching. I'm mostly a Harley guy but I've always…read morehad a metric or two in the garage. I would have never known this place existed if I hadn't ordered a tire online and the seller had a note that shipping was free if I did a will call at Cycle Gear. OK... they are just a couple of miles away so why not. So looking at the place I figured it was mostly targeted at relatively new riders who were looking for helmets and other rider gear. And they certainly have racks of that stuff. Talking to one of the guys at the desk I inquired about rotor upgrades and he said, "sure!". Pulled out a catalog and showed me a few choices that would fit my bike. This fellow was clearly more knowledgeable than those guys at a parts store. You know the type. What year, model, engine size, color, blah, blah, blah so that they can figure out what windshield wiper will fit. And inevitably hand you a part that DOESN'T fit. So in chatting I find out they will install tires if you bring in the wheel. Install and balance for a pretty reasonable price. I see that at least one Yelper complained that the store manager would not allow him to watch the process which could be a problem for me. That's my life we're talking about. I do my own work or I watch whoever is doing the work to be sure it's done correctly. If that's going to be a problem for them I will be forced to update this review. But for now, my experience with Cycle Gear has been 100% positive. Great prices. Great staff. Easy to get to. Lots of parking. I haven't looked over their inventory closely but I suspect that most repair and maintenance items will need to be ordered which is usually not a problem for me. I buy pretty much nothing at the dealerships and, in fact, the dealerships usually don't have what I need in stock anyway. So I can buy for less online. Not that it's a big deal for my purposes but Cycle Gear is more geared to sport bike riders and not Harleys. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing most of the gear they have on the rack. No judgments and no minus stars. CG knows their market and their model seems to be working for them. I'm just happy to have a resource to have tires installed and also purchase parts from. Very glad they are so close by!

I explained a/c not blowing cold but Honda extended warranty on a/c and I wanted oil change. I also had concerns about transmission lurching/surging and explained what it was doing. I explained that I have brought up my concerns about the transmission before to both Dick's Hillsboro Honda and Beaverton Honda in past visits for oil changes and was told this is normal. I mentioned several internet searches about these 10 speed transmissions showed up frequently for that model year having the problem as I described. Advisor researched and said only bulletin was for a/c and nothing on transmission and that my car was not 10 speed. We scheduled appt. for oil change, a/c diagnostic and tranny diagnostic. He stated two seperate fees for both diagnostics and that if a/c condensor was issue then fee would be waived and covered under warranty. I later got home and did more research and sent this, Honda Service Bulletin (TSB) #19-091, issued on November 10, 2019, addresses 10-speed transmission shift quality issues in early production 2018-2019 Honda Accord models equipped with the 2.0L engine. [1, 2] Key Details of TSB 19-091 Fix: Software calibration update for the Transmission Control Module (TCM). Purpose: Addresses harsh shifting between gears and improves torque converter response. Symptoms: Harsh shifts/clunking noises (specifically 5th to 6th, and 8th to 9th gears). Delayed engagement. Rough downshifts. Shift lag during acceleration. Hesitation or a "rubber band" feel. [1, 2, 3, 4] Affected Vehicles 2018-2019 Honda Accord (10-speed automatic models, primarily 2.0L). Applies to early production models. [1] Additional Information Resolution: Many users report that this update alleviates, but does not completely eliminate, the inherently "clunky" nature of the 10-speed transmission at low speeds. Diagnosis: If a fluid service does not resolve the harshness, this software update is the next recommended step before considering torque converter replacement. Alternative Solutions: If symptoms persist after the update, some users have reported that "learning" to drive with specific throttle inputs (e.g., 25% throttle) helps, or that the transmission requires a long "break-in" period of 15,000-20,000 miles. [5, 6, 7] It is highly recommended to consult a Honda dealer to verify if your specific VIN is covered under this or subsequent service bulletins. AI responses may include mistakes. I looked up the bulletin 19-091 and its for the a/c condenser warranty extension. I tried looking up anything else in the Honda database related to transmission judder/acceleration issue and I could not find anything related. Your vehicle also does not have a 10-speed transmission so I don't think that article pertains to an Accord. 10 speeds are only in Honda odyssey's and Pilots that I'm aware of. I began to get worried about the statement of my car not being a 10 speed and was going to cancel but decided not to. The bulletin number maybe wrong or it maybe a broader range related. I knew it is not a recall or warranty extention but possibly a Service Bulletin concern. I asked to have tech check for TCM updates. Fast forward to repairs, a/c fixed under warrenty, oil changed, 10 point inspection done w/recommendations of brake fluid flush and transmission drain and fill along with hard battery reset. I declined reset and did one according to YouTube using accelerator pedal. I took car in early on a Wed., picked up car late day Thurs. then the car sat until early Fri. morning. I drove to Astoria, Oregon from Beaverton and everything fine. The car sat in lot from fri-wed. because everything within walking distance. Got in to start car and drive home and noticed noises from underhood. I called Beaverton Honda immediately and the response from service desk was, we can get you in tomorrow to look at it BUT there will be a diagnostic fee. I explained my car was just in there. I said I need it looked at so whatever. I was not happy and after stewing on it cancelled the appt. How many diagnostic fees do you want?
