This entire meal itself is shared/cooked as a group of four, even though your station is for 2 people. You are standing throughout the class and get breaks in between to go check out the store. For example I have done a pastry baking class - Macaroons and croissants. I booked this class for 4 people so it was perfect because we all knew each other and it was a group activity. Since it was four of us we had a row/table to ourselves. *****Each table has two stations, each pair gets a station. So each table has 4 people. ***** For us the baking class was fun because our group of 4 got to be next to each other and work together. ***For baking classes you are able to take leftovers home.*** I have also done a Dinner class - Carbonara pasta, Caprese salad, and tiramisu dessert. This was booked for 2 people to celebrate a birthday for a friend. In this experience of booking for 2 people we had to share the table and ingredients with another couple/pair. When booking for 2, as a date night, the only part that might ruin the vibe of is you are very close to the other group. It isn't intimate and you don't have your own space. The food portions are enough but not super filling. You would be satisfied but you might leave feeling like you have some space for something small. ***Some people do have left overs but the sad thing is with savory classes you cannot take leftovers. You either finish your food or you toss it out. So even if you were full you would be tossing some of your $ away. ****

I came here at mid-afternoon and the store was fairly empty. The employees were helpful, one of them offered to make me an espresso which was quite tasty and powerful. The two employees on the floor kept disappearing and I had to keep calling them over to assist me to find Something or to wrap up a gift for a nominal charge). Parking is $5 unless you park in the free parking garage - just a short walk.

I was invited to sign up because this is where my cousin wanted to celebrate her birthday...I'm so happy I was available to come! Although the class was a bit pricey for 2 people, once you are in it, it's absolutely worth it!!! We made crab cakes, cheese grits with several different toppings, cheesecake, shrimp gravy over biscuits AND OH EM GEE!!! It was all so so good!! Keep in mind this is a BYOB as well. That, paired with good food and great friends is an excellent experience and you should definitely give it a try!!! I can't wait to bring my husband here! 10/10!!!!!!!!!

I went on the website and decided to take the Jamaican themed class. It was priced at $180 per couple. The menu for the night was black bean soup, rice and peas, jerk chicken and shrimp, and rum cake. They already had everything prepped for us. The chef told us exactly how to make each dish. Everything we had was bursting with flavor. The class was so much fun! The chef even threw in some cooking education and he made us laugh while doing it. I highly recommend this class to everyone! It's easy for even a novice cook. They even had a little music going on. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the service provided. It was definitely a vibe and a fun date night. I would love to go back for the other classes. Also it's BYOB!

Some of the meals you're cooking are simpler than others. We had a pear arugula salad, bolognese, and olive oil cake on the menu. The chef and her crew were great! They took their time and explained everything to us. For the pasta, we actually made the noodles! Which was really cool! The whole experience was so much fun! You get to eat the food after you're done, but make sure you eat it because you cannot take the leftovers. Everything was yummy! Tip: you can BYOB! We brought our own bottle of wine! When we got to the class, it was completely full and we were paired with another couple. Among the 4 of us, we made potstickers filled with shrimp and pork, as well as bbq pork bao buns. Our instructor was great - I enjoyed his humor and he made the class lively! We were greeted with tea to sip on and the ingredients were prepped in advance with small containers of each sauce, veggies, mushrooms, etc. We took turns chopping, or whisking, or using the stand mixer. I learned some useful knife skills as well! It was fun learning how to fold the wonton wrappers as well as the dough for the bao buns. I appreciated the chance to learn multiple delicious recipes and we had a fun group! I would have appreciated more observation of making the bbq pork as that was pre-prepared, and going through the multiple ingredients we used as they were not labeled. That being said, we received recipe booklets so that we can try them on our own. We had a pause midway through the class during which the Sur La Table staff steamed our potstickers and bao buns and we browsed the store with our day-of discount. When we returned, I enjoyed sharing the delicious dim sum! We were pretty full towards the end but learned that we can't take any of the food out of the store due to any risk on the store which was a bummer. Nevertheless our group chowed down and finished our tasty meal! I enjoyed all the instructors and staff at this location and would certainly be open to coming back, though for a special occasion as their classes are on the pricey end.

My kids love the chef's teaching and her friendliness. She's very patient and gives kids plenty of time to catch up with every step. She is also very thoroughly in answering all the questions that they have. I absolutely love that she also provides all the ingredients beforehand and they rarely have to do any preparation steps beforehand other than gathering the ingredients--so she is really doing all the teaching from end to finish! Best of all, the meals turn out really good! There were dishes that I wasn't sure that I'd like at first glance, but they turned out absolutely delicious and best of all, I didn't even have to cook it myself! Not only is she imparting these kids with valuable life skills (cooking!) but she's turning them into decent chefs! I would highly recommend this place. It took me 3 months of my kids taking these classes to finally look them up and write a review. It's definitely much overdue but I've been so impressed with this place. I ordered "The Convention" breakfast which was "Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Breakfast Potatoes and Buttermilk Biscuits" - it came with literally 20 tiny sausage patties and biscuits total. So one tiny sausage and biscuit per person. I didn't count the bacon but it was a similarly stingy portion. No one had more than two pieces. The eggs were bland. The potatoes were actually good. But overall, it was so embarrassing to have the food show up and it be these tiny trays of hardly any food for over $400. I would have been better off ordering individual dishes for each person from a local restaurant. I thought with the high Yelp and Google reviews I saw, this would be a safe bet! I also ordered a 20 mini pastries for $3.25 each which were like pastries you get at a 7/11. At least if you are overcharging, let the food be good and not like you unwrapped pastries from a Costco haul. Worst of all was the coffee which was watered down and disgusting. Everyone threw theirs out so I just dumped it. What an utter waste of money. Also they only sent 8 cups with the coffee even though the breakfast was for 20. Stingy and bland all around. If you are catering for a small group, please save yourself the trouble and embarrassment and just order takeout from a local restaurant. I wish I took pictures of the spread but I was just too upset. All I took was the coffee which you can tell even from the picture was watery. ***The menu listed the items but didn't say only 1, 1oz piece of bacon per person - that's absolutely absurd for a normal breakfast portion. Who would cater one piece of bacon per person?
