This whole process was so much easier than I thought! Sarah was super helpful, she drafted up a contract, we discussed what I like or wanted but that's not even needed! We had Paul for our bartender and he was really great! Very attentive, and made some great drinks! We told him what we wanted and he discussed some things that would work or not work with the flavor profile. He knows what he's doing! I created a drink menu, and discussed it with him. I chose this company based on their reviews, which were very impressive, but considering no one showed up the night of our party, I am left with a 1 star rating. We were left serving drinks on a tv console table and pulling bottles out of a cardboard box. Although I am sure our guests had a good time, we had a miserable time, and felt like we wasted a lot of money and effort. I spoke to Sarah the night of the party after realizing no one was going to show, and although she was a bit difficult and curt initially, she explained that it was an oversight and apologized profusely. She stated that a contract was not returned, even though payment was made two weeks prior and we communicated back and forth at least 15 times up until two nights before the party. The contract was never mentioned once. What I can say is that our money was promptly refunded and Sarah offered a bartending service for our next event. She often took long to respond to my email inquiries even after the deposit was made. We chose Party Palace for our wedding based on the venue's recommendation. Communication during the planning process was acceptable, however the lack of responsiveness in the two weeks prior to the event shook my confidence. On the day of the wedding, only 2 of the agreed upon 4+ bartenders showed up. This left guests waiting in long lines for drinks, pushing back our schedule for the evening and leaving me, the bride, apologizing to everyone for the wait/frustration. The two bartenders who showed up were pleasant and helpful, but unable to keep up with a 230 person event. Fewer bartenders also means less alcohol served/consumed, meaning less value for the price. Following our event, Party Palace apologized and refunded us $200. I appreciated the gesture, however this does not sufficiently redeem the frustrating experience. read more
