Still only giving 3 stars for this place. They need to work on their customer service skills with a few of their advisors. We are walking into a suit store, please say more than just hello...it's not my job to curate a conversation. As for alterations, their alterations person is a wizard. My dads suit did not have to be remade luckily. And my fiancés tux fits perfect. The biggest piece of advice, get into the store within the first 10 days of receiving your suit to get it altered by their team. If it's past the 10 days we'll you are SOL. They don't tell you this. Also another piece of advice, it is YOUR suit, don't let the advisor try and talk you out of how you feel in the suit. It's your comfort not theirs. Their job is to make life easier on themselves and their team, not yours.

My initial visit went ok despite them running behind and being clearly overbooked. However, when my suit arrived, the sleeves were about 3 inches too short--clearly a huge error in production. I called the store and talked to someone named Cameron. She told me that I had to come in on a weekday when the tailor would be there, despite the jacket obviously being beyond tailoring to fit. I explained that I work a 9-5 and don't want to come in during work hours when the jacket is obviously going to have to be remade. She literally would not work with me and just kept repeating the same thing over and over again despite me trying to come up with different solutions. No apology or empathy, just blatant indifference. What a horrible way to treat someone who spent $700+ at your establishment. Edit: I called the Washington Square store to see if they would be any more accommodating. They also wouldn't offer any solutions for fixing the jacket other than me coming in on a weekday so that they can waste my time during the workday, but they at least told me the real reason for this policy. The real reason is because indochino has higher sales goals for weekends, so they don't want to waste their weekend appointment times on someone who already bought something and won't be adding to the sales numbers. At least now I know the honest reason, which is basically "once we have your money, you are our lowest priority." Edit 2: I went in for the final look on 5 pm on the weekday as I was told. Guess who wasn't there? No tailor! They were somehow miraculously able to take the measurements despite the tailor's absence, though. Shocking considering how it was "completely impossible" for me to come in on the weekend when the tailor wouldn't be there. To no one's surprise, the suit jacket has to be completely remade. And here's the kicker: they're now out of the original fabric, so I had to get a different fabric than the one I bought. I asked if I could keep the pants from the original suit. Jimmy told me no because "that would mean we're giving you a free pair of pants." (How horrible to give away something to a customer whose order you screwed up!) I asked what's the difference if the pants are just going to be thrown away anyway. He said they don't throw them away, they donate them to a shelter. So, they will give the pants away for free, just not to their customers, apparently .

All of the print has cracked, and I have worn the hoodie maybe ten times, and washed it inside out one time on cold and gentle. Let air dry just like all of my other puffy print hoodies which I have had for years and this is the only hoodie that the print has cracked on. Threads coming out of the sleeves, overall very poor quality. When I messaged them to see if they would just swap the hoodie out for another, they told me repeatedly that they don't accept any returns on washed or worn clothing. For a brand to not stand behind their products like that, is a one and done buy for me. I have had much smaller companies offer more for much less. 100 dollar hoodie and they offered me 15% back. Keep it, I will take my money to other reliable brands that care about their customer base.

Upon walking into the store, the staff is incredibly friendly. The only thing a bit odd is that it smells like cigarette smoke throughout the store. I believe that is their signature incense but the first couple of times I visited, I assumed that there were people in the back room smoking. The layout of the store is easy to navigate and the minimalistic approach to their displays is a welcome change from your typical overwhelming shopping experience. Rather than display every size they have in every style they offer, they only display one size of each style. I appreciated that because it made for a much simpler shopping experience. Additionally, their sneaker selection is amazing. Every time I go in, there are a few new styles to look at. This is probably my favorite spot for finding some cool sneakers. We will continue to go back to the store for their unique styles, incredibly helpful staff, and amazing selection of footwear.

I was not able to view the size or price tags without having to fish for them and pull it out so I could see. I found it annoying when shopping since buying clothes is the main goal. What is important in Portland is that Mr. Bruce, I mean Brent Collier has made a career of going to Italy and buying clothing direct, and the same with the NYLA garment districts. He brings it back to little, but creative Portland. Who else does that here? No one. And Collier has an excellent eye. He buys shirts, suits, jackets, sweaters, ties, belts scarves, and more, in small quantities. The quality is stellar, and the price earthbound. I found a great lightweight wool Italian suit at Collier with extra pants at a very, very reasonable price. Let's just say 1/4 to 1/3 the price of any place in the area. Same for some dress shirts which continue to draw compliments. Collier has a wider range of color than some of our stylish male clothing purveyors who hew to black, brown, gray and white. If you want unique suit fabrics at a reasonable price that would qualify you to be in The Sartorialist http://www.thesartorialist.com/, this is the only place in Portland. His former store was the Stockroom, and all the cool kids in town, now grownups, have been patrons for a while. If you need fashion advice or suggestions shopping, Collier can provide that too. Shopping for yourself, or anyone with a fashion sense, shopping for their boy, will be able to communicate their concept to Collier. And with the Wildfang phenomena, girls looking for the next level of boyfriend shirt look might look here. So anyone shopping for anyone looking for style, quality and unique is totally welcome. There might be spots like this in LA, SF or NY, but visitors to Portland shopping have the advantage of no sales tax. He changes the store up regularly, so it's worth checking in periodically. There is also a tailor right there for alterations. If you want style, quality, uniqueness and price in men's clothing; collar shirt, tie, jacket style, and even some sportswear, Collier is the best and most unique place in Portland.
