Honestly would have given this spot a higher rec in the past, but gosh the recent experience...was not good. We had an appt for a custom suit for my husband on a weekend and arrived a little before our time slot. First off, the interior smelled like a public restroom that had been cleaned with the most abrasive solutions possible. It was also a bit unkempt. There were two sales associates, one who was already helping someone else with a wedding suit. We got the other person who was...polite but very quick and curt. Didn't seem like the warmest experience in contrast to the other associate who was really taking their time explaining choices and options. I think it boils down to what you prefer in terms of interactions, but it just felt like a bit cold. In the past, the suits were reasonably priced so imagine our surprise when this was almost twice the cost. The quality is still fine, but I'm not sure it really warrants such a steep price increase. All in all, this appointment was rather tepid and I'm not sure if we'll be going back here for our suit needs. There are other local, bespoke shops that seem more sustainable and affordable in this economy. read more

After taking some time to reflect on our first experience with the Indochino in Downtown Portland I've decided to go ahead and share. This isn't a review of the quality of their products as we have yet to receive our order but the experience in store - once our order arrives I will add an update. We came to this location in search of a suit for the Groom. The appointment started promptly and we were guided through the process well. Admittedly, we were not sure what color or material we wanted for the suit and our salesperson helped us through a lot of decisions. My gripe comes towards the end of the appointment - it seems they do not allocate enough time to adequately provide the services they offer. Toward the end we were quite frankly rushed into a purchase. Another salesperson interrupted us just before purchase telling us the 1 o'clock was there - us, and our salesperson together which made the next portion of the appointment feel very rushed. Before we had a chance to discuss our purchase as a couple the payment module was produced and it was as we were making the payment we were told about their no refunds policy as suits were made to order. I tried to pause the transaction then and there but I could tell the salesperson felt rushed with the need to get to the next appointment. I would have liked to have time to discuss our purchase and be sure the item we selected fit within our wedding plan before purchasing and that was clear but we kind of felt like we had to make the purchase right then and there. I can't recommend this store to anyone in our situation as I don't think that experience really helped us. I certainly wasn't prepared to be rushed into a purchase without knowing their policies. And in the end we did pay for the item on the spot but I can't help but feel like we wouldn't have done that if we didn't feel pressed for time salesperson included. In the end, we are finding ourselves having to rework our wedding vision to fit the suit color we purchased in as they do not allow returns or changes. read more

Still only giving 3 stars for this place. They need to work on their customer service skills with a few of their advisors. We are walking into a suit store, please say more than just hello...it's not my job to curate a conversation. As for alterations, their alterations person is a wizard. My dads suit did not have to be remade luckily. And my fiancés tux fits perfect. The biggest piece of advice, get into the store within the first 10 days of receiving your suit to get it altered by their team. If it's past the 10 days we'll you are SOL. They don't tell you this. Also another piece of advice, it is YOUR suit, don't let the advisor try and talk you out of how you feel in the suit. It's your comfort not theirs. Their job is to make life easier on themselves and their team, not yours. read more

Wow - these reviews are harsh! My experience was quite good! The staff member I worked with (Max) was great - he took my measurements expertly, and walked me through all the customization details to design a suit I loved. When I received my suit - I was able to fit into everything, - but it was a bit tight in some spots. Thats really to be expected - the process is asking a tailor to bullseye your fit on the first try without ever having met you. Indochino offers the ability to come in for a "final fit" appointment to make any adjustments which really takes much of the risk away. When I came in for my "final fit" appointment - we reviewed some of tight spots, and the staff were outstandingly helpful at pointing out some details even I didn't notice. I am looking forward to getting my suit and shirts back in the next couple weeks. I expect it to be my favorite suit and to be a recurring customer. My advice - use indochino, its a fantastic, low hassle way to get a custom suit. For the price sensitive - you really can't find better for the money. I would just encourage you to buy the suit 8 weeks ahead of time to guarantee it fits just right for your occasion. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. SAVE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. They are incredibly rude and zero costumer service. My fiancé and his groomsmen came here to get tailored suits and surprise surprise they took incorrect measurements and all of them had to get shirts and pants and jackets remade. Even after the shirts and pants didn't fit right the SECOND time the staff insist that's how they're suppose to fit, probably because they didn't want to go through the embarrassment to admit they got the wrong measurements again. With having such a terrible experience dealing with them my fiancé went next door to Nordstrom's to buy another shirt and thank goodness his tailor were actually able to savage the pants and jacket. I went and got fitted for a suit in 2022 for my brother's wedding and had a wonderful experience with Tori. I needed a new suit for a wedding coming up, so I went back to Indochino, and as fate would have it, Tori did my measurements again. I'm a masculine-presenting, cis-woman and have curves. Tori listened when I told her I just wanted my suit to fit my body well. I didn't want to hide anything, but I also didn't want to accentuate anything, either. In my 2022 experience, my suit jacket came out perfect the first time around. No alterations needed. I was very happy and impressed with the quality of the service as well as how comfortable I felt throughout the experience. Although I haven't received my second suit, yet, I'm still very happy with my experience - 2+ years later! I would (and have!) recommended Indochino to many friends, and I will continue to do so. HORRIBLE experience. I went in with an appointment to look at purchasing a suit & tuxedo. It felt as if the sales representative was there to hit a quota of meetings rather than actual sales. The whole experience was rushed from the second we arrived. When you're about to spend thousands of dollars you expect the service to match and that was the completer opposite luckily Nordstrom is right across the street and is comparable in pricing...with the customer service white glove experience to match. If you are looking for a quality high-end custom suit or tuxedo without an accompanying exorbitant price, look no more. Indochino is a fabulous place to create your suit or tuxedo at a reasonable price. I must admit, when we first arrived to this business, it looked more high-end than our expected budget. We were pleasantly surprised Indochino provides high quality for a great value. We have an upcoming wedding and my son-in-law needed a suit. Indochino happens to be right next door to The White Dress, where my daughter found her gorgeous bridal gown. At Indochino, we were warmly greeted by Jimmy. Simply said : this guy knows his stuff. Typically speaking, when I enter a store and look for advice from an employee, I expect this employee to be knowledgeable of his trade and product, informative, and respectful. Unfortunately, many businesses I encounter, do not have this and lose my business. I exit within minutes. At Indochino, Jimmy provides all of these expected qualities, along with humor. This then makes him an invaluable asset to this company. We selected color (darker grey), material (we picked a wool/cashmere blend--ohhh so soft to the touch and of great quality), and selected buttons, lapel style, pocket style, interior lining, etc... There are so many cool customizations that can be made and are included in their price. Jimmy made this entire process easy, painless, comfortable, and we learned so much along the way. As to detailed alterations, we came to appreciate the workmanship that goes into making this garment. The end result is a perfectly tailored suit that is very flattering, great for this wedding, and yet can be used for his regular meetings. This location gets five stars for service. I needed extra suits for a eight week jury trial and it's really difficult to find women's suits that have pants long enough for me. Jimmy gave great recommendations for fabrics and was able to get me in for alterations super last minute. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with everything. I think indochino as a brand has a ways to go as far as designing less masculine suits (for example, higher waisted would be better, and having an inside pocket lower down rather than right at breast level would be preferable). However, I'd rather have a masculine suit that fits me perfectly than adapt to a ready to wear women's suit that is too short for me. It appears that indochino is coming up with a wider array of designs so maybe this won't be an issue for future customers. read more

She took time to explain the suit materials and how it will be made. Then came the measurement part. She took almost an hour meticulously measuring every details for my coat and pants. Largest disappointment of our wedding. For reference I am a more masc presenting female and was looking for a suit for my wedding. I wanted to find a suit that fit me without looking incredibly feminine but also without looking like I was wearing ill fitting menswear. Jimmy, the manager, made me feel like he knew exactly what I was wanting. When my suit arrived, not a single piece fit. After alterations (measured a second time by a different gentleman), we received a jacket that fit ok, a shirt that fit like any would off the rack (does not fit like a custom, made to order shirt by any means) and pants that once again flat out didn't fit and were not at all what I was looking for. After nearly arguing with Jimmy, he agreed to alter the pants once more saying he'd get them mailed to us next day as we live over 2 hours from the show room. To add to the frustration, i needed my mailing address changed as I had moved. They assured me everything was taken care of. Exactly a month later and only 9 days before the wedding, the pants arrived to the wrong address. Surprise, they still don't fit. I've ended up having to buy a pair of pants from a department store to wear for the wedding. Overall, terrible experience and complete waste of money. read more

I've had been wanting to buy a suit from Indochino since I was in school in SF a decade ago but man do I regret it now. I should've read the reviews across the board (please do yourself a favor and check out other reviews in other areas before buying a suit from them). Ordered a suit *nearly* 10 weeks in advance for a wedding. DHL never delivers the suit.. my front door cameras can attest to that fact. DHL is certain they dropped it off. Fast forward to a week: Indochino does some digging and they respond. They're unable to refund me due to the fact that it wasn't over 10 weeks. Come on.. really? For a suit I never received? F*ck ya'll. Hell, getting fitted for it was quite a cold, pretentious experience to boot. Best consolation they could provide was trying to send the suit over again.. well after the wedding. Their whole spiel about, "Purpose and Core Values" is laughable. read more

My initial visit went ok despite them running behind and being clearly overbooked. However, when my suit arrived, the sleeves were about 3 inches too short--clearly a huge error in production. I called the store and talked to someone named Cameron. She told me that I had to come in on a weekday when the tailor would be there, despite the jacket obviously being beyond tailoring to fit. I explained that I work a 9-5 and don't want to come in during work hours when the jacket is obviously going to have to be remade. She literally would not work with me and just kept repeating the same thing over and over again despite me trying to come up with different solutions. No apology or empathy, just blatant indifference. What a horrible way to treat someone who spent $700+ at your establishment. Edit: I called the Washington Square store to see if they would be any more accommodating. They also wouldn't offer any solutions for fixing the jacket other than me coming in on a weekday so that they can waste my time during the workday, but they at least told me the real reason for this policy. The real reason is because indochino has higher sales goals for weekends, so they don't want to waste their weekend appointment times on someone who already bought something and won't be adding to the sales numbers. At least now I know the honest reason, which is basically "once we have your money, you are our lowest priority." Edit 2: I went in for the final look on 5 pm on the weekday as I was told. Guess who wasn't there? No tailor! They were somehow miraculously able to take the measurements despite the tailor's absence, though. Shocking considering how it was "completely impossible" for me to come in on the weekend when the tailor wouldn't be there. To no one's surprise, the suit jacket has to be completely remade. And here's the kicker: they're now out of the original fabric, so I had to get a different fabric than the one I bought. I asked if I could keep the pants from the original suit. Jimmy told me no because "that would mean we're giving you a free pair of pants." (How horrible to give away something to a customer whose order you screwed up!) I asked what's the difference if the pants are just going to be thrown away anyway. He said they don't throw them away, they donate them to a shelter. So, they will give the pants away for free, just not to their customers, apparently . read more

I went in for my wedding suit fitting very excited. I've never had a custom suit before. After the 4-5 weeks my suit arrived and the sleeves were at my elbow. The store manager Jimmy apparently took 5 inches off the sleeve instead of adding 5. I don't know how such a major oversight can be made by a "manager". When I brought the suit in I was told there was no way to expedite the new jacket even though they made the mistake. I'm down to the wire for my wedding and not even sure if it will arrive in time. Even customer service corporate hasn't gotten back to me yet and it's been a few weeks. I went from very elated with the fitting experience to beyond disappointed with how it all has played out. And at this point the whole hard "no returns whatsoever" is feeling like a middle finger. Be sure to really reallyyyy look over your measurements before they send it in. read more

Measurements taken incorrectly, tailoring performed in the wrong direction (made suit/pants even larger), on the 3rd attempt the shirts had grease/ink stains on them, 2 out of 3 shirts were unbearably itchy even after using fabric softener twice, but worst of all is the abysmal customer service. Jimmy (the manager??) is one of the rudest individuals I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with; every snarky word that oozes out of his pursed lips is laden with arrogance and condescension - he prefers to lecture on his skill and experience rather than address the customer's concerns, he's curt, dismissive, pretentious, hostile, combative, and made no attempt to offer anything to make my experience right (replacement shirts, a discount, a kind word for goodness' sake). Truly a how-does-this-guy-still-have-a-job miracle. They also have no vested interest in performing free tailoring on your "custom made" suit and will thusly try to talk you out of any alterations. Offering poor advice to save a few dollars on labor is a pernicious business model. Overall, a waste of $800 and four afternoons of my life. The gentleman who is not Jimmy (sorry for blanking on your name) was lovely and super helpful. Thank you for your kindness, respect, and basic human decency! You're too good for Indochino. On the first day it was open, I went in to get measured for a suit! I bought an Indochino suit 9 months ago, but never wore it... and since then I lost 60 pounds. First awesome thing: it was too drastic of a change for them to modify it, so they offered me a free suit!! Second awesome thing: the staff. Ben took my measurements, and was SUPER patient with me, didn't pressure me about anything, and was generally just really awesome to work with. Also, props to Aaron who was helping all of the staff, doing a little bit of everything since it was the first day the store was open. 5 starts for the quality, the custom fit, for being flexible, and the awesome people who work there! I went into this location a little bit ago to order suits and boy was I impressed. I was welcomed the second I walked in and greeted by a few members of the staff. I had questions for a wedding suit and Jimmy and Jeff tag teamed and gave advice on the suit I should get married in. Both were very knowledgeable and had a keen eye for color and detail. The took the time to work with me and fit me and I got to choose all of the finishing touches for my suit. I felt like a king! When the suit came in, my items needed some slight alterations but that was to be expected. I was able to get in within a week and had my suit fully tailored and pressed (another little service they offer to make the process easier.) I would take with a grain of salt anyone claiming they have had a poor experience here. I personally think those complaining didn't plan well enough in advance and expected perfect from the get go. The store employees check on timeline multiple times so they are able to fix any mistakes. They can't do that if you give them a week to get your suit! Overall, I was exceptionally pleased and would recommend again. read more

I was measured on June 3rd. It's now August 11th and my suit will need to be remade after an attempt at alterations. But the fabric won't be available for another month or more, then another month to make the new suit and ship it. So optimistically it'll be mid November before I get final delivery of a suit ordered 5 months prior & apparently there's nothing that can be done to make that less of a bitter pill to swallow or at least nothing was offered. The staff at the Yamhill store was doing their best and I appreciate their efforts, but this process & product isn't one I would recommend either. read more

I'm giving Indochino a one because the %5 cashmere/95%wool fabric is luxurious, and because the folks that I worked with when I initially placed my order were great. Note that Indochino does not make true custom suits. They are preexisting/premade pants/jackets altered to fit you based on a couple of different fits. Complex story, but in summary I purchased pants end of year 2019, received them calves were too tight. Had them altered complementary and they still didn't fit. I was told that they would remake. Then we had COVID. I didn't need pants, plus everything was closed due to social distancing, customer service was limited and then the Portland riots and I held off going downtown. I did check in periodically but they allowed no walk in and then more rioting. When I knew that I was going back to the office I made an appointment where I was told 1) that it took too long and 2) that if they were fixable I would be on my own or they would assess me a fee to have them altered. Keep in mind that this is different from what I was told initially on at least two occasions. Apparently this applies when an item is fixable, which is different from what I was told in March 2020 when they were not fixable and going to be remade. As a result, I then reached out to customer service on 8/15/21 and I just received a phone call today 12/16/21. Needless to say. I would not recommend Indochino. I am sure there are other vendors, like Suit Supply that better support their customers. read more

My timeline with Indochino went like this: fitting on 8/26/22, shipment received on 9/12/22, and final look review was on 9/19/22. The customer service I received from Tori was exceptional. She was transparent and knowledgeable every step of the way, in terms of measuring, fitting, material, customization, pricing, shipping, tailoring, their return policy, and the overall flow of production. My order was three chinos and four shirts. Tori assured me during my final look, everything looked great - which eased any concerns I may have had (this was my first time ever getting fitted). Service is less than mediocre. The product and model seems good. However, the employees that help the customers don't really care. At least from my experience today. I made an appointment for 2 people. My friend got started right away with his suit fitting. For myself I had to wait 30 minutes to be seen. After asking the gentleman why nobody's helping me, he proceeded to say, "your appointment has been canceled" and that is all he said. I asked if someone could help me and they said I'd have to wait until someone was available. I ended up working with the same guy that helped my friend. His name is Jeff. Jeff seemed nice. However, half way through my fitting my friend had to leave as the appointment was pushing into 45 minutes. We ended up leaving separately and the whole thing kind of killed our vibe. I asked for a discount due to the service. Jeff was nice enough to give me $25 off. Come to find out that's the normal first time suit purchase $25 off coupon code. Thanks, Jeff... My hypothesis is that the other gentleman that was working with Jeff did not like me and deliberately skipped me. I had made what I thought was a funny comment on wearing masks in the establishment. I said, "O, I thought the war was over" the gentleman did not find this funny. That's when my appointment was "cancelled" Moral of the story, don't say anything Outlandish in this store or they might cancel your appointment. Jimmy was able to fit in an appointment right away and was very professional in answering many of my questions and in providing recommendations, as it was my first time getting as custom suit. My fiancé and I made a last minute appointment here after being recommended by one of our friends. We originally scheduled for just a wedding consult but loved everything we were hearing and decided to just go on with the rest of the process of getting him measured for his suit for the wedding! We've considered rentals, purchasing off the rack, etc and have had kind of meh experiences. Our stylist was so nice and knowledgeable, along with the rest of the staff! We were shopping for a suit for our wedding. We walked into this store thinking it would be way out of our proce range and were pleasantly surprised. A fully customized three-piece suit with custom shirt for around $500. You pick everything out from pocket shape, button style, threading, lapels, etc. Every single detail was customizable. I've ordered 2 suits and 3 shirts from Indochino. The suits are great. They needed only very moderate alterations and look great. Absolutely 5 stars for bang-for-your-buck. The shirts, not so much. Each came supersized and oddly shaped, resulting in $100 in alterations at their preferred tailor. They reimbursed me for the full amount, but notified me that their standard policy is $25/shirt, as if the customer has any control over how much Indochino's manufacturers mess up the shirt. I'd buy a suit again, but will look for shirts elsewhere. read more
