Full skirt over my tea length dress

Very responsive and the work done by the tailor was perfect. Couldn't be happier with the decision to work with Kash and have my wedding dresses altered with them.

Bespoke two-piece suit with beautiful custom lavender shirt.

As someone who's tall, finding clothing that fits well is no easy task--but Roshan at Kash Ross Creations made it effortless. He created a gorgeous bespoke two-piece suit and lavender shirt that fit me perfectly and looked incredible. Roshan is a master of his craft, with an unmatched knowledge of tailoring. Beyond that, he's warm, approachable, and never rushed, giving thoughtful clothing advice that always put my needs first. Kash Ross Creations has a rich history, and Roshan is doing a fantastic job carrying on his family's legacy of exceptional craftsmanship and personalized service. If you're looking for a professional who truly understands tailoring and values his clients, I can't recommend Roshan enough.

I searched all over Portland for someone that was able to work with leather AND wool for my Oregon Letterman Jacket. They make these things for lineman, of which, I am not. Roshan was awesome and had a fast turnaround in time for football season! When you see him, make sure to give him a "Go Ducks!" For me. I'm sure he'll appreciate it!

Roshan was not able to help out with just a few hours notice (understandable!!) but referred us to another amazing tailor who was able to meet our crazy timeline! Even followed up to be sure all went ok! Thank you so much!

Roshan is the best! They made the perfect custom suit for my wedding, along with a custom shirt for all my groomsmen. His attention to style preferences, guidance, and service was second to none. We had custom fitting sessions for myself and my 4 groomsmen. Every single piece fit perfectly without alteration at the test fitting session. Now I've got a great suit I can wear for years to come. He'll take care of you too, like family. Thanks again, and go Beavs!

I went in with something I had in mind but left with a bit extra....they had men's and women's clothes and in the center they had two bins that had items that were 5 dollars a piece. I would have loved to have gone through the bins but didn't have enough time. The girl working in the store just let me browse. The selection was great and I felt the value was very fair. They had a lot of unusual pieces as well. I ended up getting an adorable natural fiber sweater from a higher end brand for under twenty dollars. It was a classic sweater and will be a great closet staple. I also grabbed my son a vintage, light weight wrangler shirt complete with pearl covered buttons for a western themed dinner he is going to. I will def be back!

That includes things like a stone store mascot, a discount from 1-33% for a poem, random promotions of a cookie with your purchase, and more. That said, it's still a thrift store so you may not find what you're looking for any given day. But I've seen some of their posts on social media about hunting for what they resell, and I'm grateful to not have to dig through nasty bins and stand in line at 5am for estate sales. They do that for us to curate a store like this and we pay slightly higher prices. Still, prices here seem reasonable - and they have a variety of discounts! Check 'em out!

What I especially liked are the many options made with natural fibers, the only thing I can wear comfortably. Right now they have lots of linen clothing, getting ready for spring and summer. In addition to the dresses, tops, pants, jackets and sweaters, they have a small but wonderful collection of shoes, hair accessories, scarves, belts and purses. They have curated fun and funky jewelry from local artists and elsewhere that would totally transform a simple black dress into a standout outfit. Customer service is genuinely friendly and attentive. Depending on your needs, they will stay with you, collect items they think will appeal to you, and offer candid feedback. Definitely a personal shopping experience if that's what you choose. They also give you privacy to browse, roam, try on things on totally on your own, if that is your preferred shopping style. Located on SW Capital Hwy in Multnomah Village, Switch Shoes and Clothing is a worthy destination! While there, enjoy the other charming stores nestled on this street interspersed amongst restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops. A lovely way to spend the afternoon!

The selection here is fantastic, with everything from jackets and hiking shoes to thermal gear and hats, all at factory outlet prices. I've found deals that beat most online discounts, especially during seasonal sales. The staff deserves a shoutout. They're genuinely helpful, not pushy, and always willing to check stock or help you find the right size. You can tell they actually use the products and know what they're talking about. The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate -- no digging through messy racks like some outlets. The checkout process is quick, and the team keeps the line moving even when it gets busy. Pro tip: Sign up for the Columbia Rewards program. I've scored some extra savings and early access to sales that make it worth it. Overall, this is one of the best outlet shopping experiences in the Portland area. Whether you're gearing up for a hike or just looking for a solid rain jacket (we are in the PNW), Columbia has you covered -- literally! LMAO

This Columbia Outlet store had so many great deals, it was overwhelming…read more I stopped by here yesterday afternoon because I'm in the market for some new winter outerwear. I was specifically hoping to find boots and/or a jacket. On top of having an entire floor full of clearance jackets, they also had about a dozen racks under tents outside of the store. It seemed like they probably had every Columbia jacket that had been made within the past few years. There was also a ton of Mountain Hardware and Sorel. The Mountain Hardware jackets were about 25-50% off, which was still significantly cheaper than REI or anywhere else that I know of. I ended up feeling so overwhelmed by the jacket selection that I decided I needed to do some research, and come back. I ended up leaving with two pairs of snow boots: 1 Columbia, and 1 Sorel. I got both pairs for $55, including tax and a very small roundup for the National Park fund. I've been looking for boots for a couple of weeks, and the cheapest I've found comparable boots anywhere else was anywhere from $69-129. So, I was beyond stoked to find two pairs I liked in the clearance section. They were also having a store wide BOGO half-off sale, which is how the total ended up so low. I didn't have, and have actually never had any of the issues with outlet stores that other people brought up in their reviews. I used to work at the outlets in Folsom. Most of the merchandise isn't damaged or defective-- it's just overstock or barely out of season. The boots that I purchased are honestly of similar quality to brand new boots from DSW. I just got really lucky (and have a seventh sense for when things will be on sale due to all my years of working in retail). Staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience and I would definitely shop here again.

Wool&Prince

I'm kind of surprised this is the first review, as Wool&Prince (https://woolandprince.com/) is the…read morepredecessor to and current brother company of wool& (https://wooland.com/), which *totally* has a cult following. (W&P used to sell both men's and women's clothing; now W&P largely sells to men and wool& to women, though ofc you can pick whatever you want from either company.) I know this because I've acquired 4 figures' worth of their clothing since finding them during the pandemic 3 years ago! And I'm not even among the most diehard by a clear margin! Am I made of money? Alas, no. I gained some weight during the pandemic, but ofc still wanted/needed to dress presentably for work, preferably *at least* as comfortably as I had been. I started rehauling my wardrobe twice. The first time wasn't as expensive or time-consuming, bc even though I needed some new pieces, I only sort of liked what I was finding to buy. Around a year later I found wool&, absolutely did like them a lot, and one piece led to another. I bought their clothing for myself and other people and when asked, requested items as Xmas gifts. Before I knew it, most of my wardrobe and most of what I wear is now merino wool with a reasonable percentage of synthetics for durability. A lot of people have had their clothing/laundry lives changed by finding clothing that suits their lifestyle. What I and a lot of "woolies" tend to like about high-merino blends is that they're very comfortable on my skin, breathable, and don't need to be washed as often as other fabrics to feel and smell fresh. Fine, thinly spun and woven wool actually feels cooler to me than the spendy linen dress I bought the year before, while thicker wool, worn in layers, is warmer than most synthetics I've tried, and easier to care for than cashmere. Basically, I've found styles that suit me and wear almost every day, and I feel fairly confident after 3 years that this is a sustainable way for me to dress. I've downsized but not eliminated my former wardrobe -- I kept my former favorites, some suits and formal wear, and beat up clothing that I'd be ashamed to donate to do chores and putter around in. So am I largely done clothes shopping/optimizing my wardrobe? Well, I'd like to downsize/streamline more, and make some alterations to some of my wool (as a petite-short, most clothing I buy could use some tweaking). But I'm holding off bc my pandemic weight is still coming off, so my new-ish almost-there wardrobe may not be. But this is not as bad as it sounds - bc wool& has such a dedicated following, there are sizable fb groups including BST (buy-sell-trade) groups. So sells/swaps are totally an option. Yup, this is a HUGELY LONG review with no photos (yet). But you can see photos on wool& (https://wooland.com/collections/all) and W&P (https://woolandprince.com/collections/all). If you tap into specific items, there are often photos from actual customers, so you can see the clothes on people who aren't models. The company doesn't have brick-and-mortar storefronts, so you can't go try on their clothes. But shipping and returns for store credit are free in the US. One thing I'll note is most people find the merino blends loosen/stretch a bit after a few hours or a few days of wear. So when in doubt, size down, or ask customer service or many helpful woolies for help! The official fb group for wool& is https://www.facebook.com/groups/wooland100daychallenge . I'm not part of W&P's fb group if there is one? The last thing I'll mention is both wool& and W&P are known for their 100 Day Challenges (yes, they're *that* company). Each customer can do a lifetime total of one of these (*not* one from each company), where they wear the same challenge-eligible garment for 100 days and take a picture each day. You launder and dry overnight as needed - wool dries surprisingly quickly! The reward from wool& is a $100 wool& gift certificate - you can find current rules here: https://journal.wooland.com/post/2020/5/1/100-day-dress-challenge, for W&P it's https://woolandprince.com/blogs/everyday-merino/your-next-shirt-could-be-on-us. While I've easily worn wool& garments for 100 consecutive days, I haven't worn the same garment nearly so long (but would have no objection to doing so - I'd just make sure to start at a good time, so the dress I chose made sense for the entire run). But from doing shorter challenges for $10-20 rewards, I know I lack the starchy moral fiber to take selfies daily for 100 days without getting at least a bit stressed and unhappy about it. If you're made of sterner stuff, those challenges are a great way of getting tons of mileage from your first wool& / W&P piece, followed by a huge discount on your second!

I wouldn't normally post a negative…read morereview of a small business based on a negative personal interaction, but it so happens that my opinion of the store wasn't otherwise very good, so here I am. This place aims to sell you only "upscale brands" but in reality, it's just the items that correspond to the owner's personal style. The selection is very poor. Shopping for kids' things was particularly frustrating as there was barely one or two items in each size. Thus so I can't understand how they're so picky/snobby with what consignment to accept when their shelves are so bare. As a consignor, the policy at Katelyn's Closet is that you drop off clothing and the next day you are supposed to return for your rejects or those things will be donated. There's no way of telling whether or not your things are accepted until you show back up with the store the next day. (This is a terrible policy). I've been buying and selling at consignment for YEARS and none of my items were taken for sale. And my unselected things were SO SO quickly donated, frankly it makes me suspicious that they were donated at all. Maybe they're being sold online.
