The best part about Indiego Tasting House was its awesome staff. The two guys we interacted with were super friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the food just fell short of me. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and found the place almost empty. The interior had was San Diego-themed, with sports memorabilia as decor and a large TV screen. We ordered some chips Tortilla Chips, Guacamole, and Salsa for the table to start with. We were a party of 6, and the size of the Guacamole was honestly comical. I think we were each able to get a single scoop. The salsa was decent, but the Tortilla Chips were extremely salty. They had a long list of specials, and I ordered the Shrimp Ceviche from that list. This was fine, but far from the best ceviche of my life. My friends said the same of their meals, including the Fish Tacos and Surf & Turf Burrito. Everything was just okay. Service was good but not the quickest!

We stopped here on our drive from LA to Tahoe and are so glad we did. The owner was so friendly and nice, and clearly took a lot of pride in his menu. We were in the mood for burgers and they were excellent! My Western burger patty was so real and homemade and flavorful. The bbq sauce tastes homemade. The buns were perfect and the fries are a lovely crispy shoestring. We all loved the burgers and my picky daughter was thrilled with her chicken tenders. The place was spotless and clean. And bonus - the water was so clean and clearly not tap. 5 stars! This will be on our roadmap in the future!!

Just an update, today we're trying a new appetizer, the Jalepeño Hotzerelo Cheese sticks. They are amazing, spicy and delicious. They come with a red sauce and a ranch. We also usually get the calamari appetizer and it is always delicious. I'm hoping you can read previous reviews. They were hit hard with the road and sidewalk upgrades, but now there is street parking in front in addition to the side lot. Prices have gone up, but the food is still a great value for what you get. Today's specials include the Challenger Bacon Cheeseburger (which includes ghost peppers), the Bad and Bougee surf and turf burrito which includes lobster, shrimp, asada, and more (big enough to split-which we do). It doesn't skimp on the meat. They have a kickin tri-tip cheeseburger, a cajeta churro basket, a heath churro Sundae, and a smokin southwest cheeseburger. All in addition to the regular menus. I highly recommend the lobster salad. This place has the best burgers in town! Service is always great. They run themselves ragged. And the ambiance is home town diner with mimosas and beer.

There's love in the food! Found it randomly on the map while visiting Bishop for the first time, and it turned out to be the perfect treat before my backpacking trip. Been a vegetarian for 11yrs, and their mushroom burger is hands down the best I've had in ages, nothing like those processed impossible patties or basic portobello burgers. Same goes with the fish tacos my friend had, both dishes are juicy and tender. Cristina is super kind, and Fidel clearly cares about every detail in the kitchen. The owners said they are working on adding a mini golf course and some outdoor patio decor, can't wait to come back! Indiego is truly a gem -- great food, excellent service, and a cozy vibe. Definitely making this a regular stop whenever I'm passing through Bishop!

Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked -- burger was a knockout. Every bite was a delicious balance of tender, fresh toppings, and a soft bun. Easily one of the best burgers I've had in a long time.

New area with outdoor lights and cornhole to have a couple drinks and relax with friends after diner.

Eating at Indiego is just like being over at friends house that loves to host,San Diego vibe in the middle of almost no where. There attentive to the tables and have a variety of great foods on the menu. The chef will personally explain the specials for you and will talk to you about how you like your food and kills it in the kitchen!

Randomly found this restaurant and so glad I did! The food is delicious! Started with chips and salsa. You can choose from 3 spice levels. I got habanero. It definitely had a kick! Got the surf and turf burrito with the crema on the side. It was filled with lots of meat and shrimp! So delicious! It was served with pasta and artichoke salad which had good flavor too. The restaurant was run by a husband and wife couple. They were very friendly and hospitable! The decor was lacking and simple but the food is great!

This is my favorite restaurant in Bishop without a doubt. Not only is the food the best in town, Cristina who serves and Fidel who cooks are the nicest people. Cristina is super kind and Fidel works his kitchen like it's his own. He asks you every minor detail of how you want your burger or dinner prepared. Small details matter to him in the kitchen, and it shows. It's such a great place. Hands down, my favorite in Bishop, and there is some good competition, but Indiego wins. Their burgers are great. The fish tacos are about for two or one person with leftovers. The habanero salsa has kick! It's better than any salsa in any Mexican place in Bishop.

Bishop has always been a place for visitors to try new concepts and restaurants. This place is definitely one of those. Giving the 90s vibes mixed with contemporary cuisine, this place can be described as an experiment. The menu is both confusing yet intriguing. The fish tacos were decent but it's not your typical ones there seems to be too much going on. The western bacon cheeseburger was in fact delicious. Juicy and not dry. Staff is friendly and very chill. Ambiance is chill and homey

Yes, you should stop here!! We drive up and down 395 several times a year, and tried this newish spot this week. They have delicious homemade chips and various salsas, and several bueno Mexican options too. Also burgers, wings, lobster salad(!!) and more. Excellent beers and people too. We look forward to the next trip and stop!

Stumbled upon this place, it was right across from the Tesla charging station. As I walked in, I saw the San Diego downtown art work on the wall. It's nice to see the restaurant represent San Diego, since I am from there too. They had a tri tip sandwich special, which was amazing & the carne asada fries did not disappoint. Their ingredients taste freshly cooked. I did not feel heavy after our meal. Would definitely stop by again on the way to mammoth

Indiego (In-Diego) was quite possibly one of the friendliest, most welcoming dining experiences we've ever had. The owners made me feel like I was visiting my buddy Fidel and his wife and they treated my family to a wonderful meal. My wife had the fish tacos and I had the Western burger. Every bite of my burger was loaded with bacon which I love. The owner makes everything fresh including the salsa which we bought a container full to bring home. Everyone walked away with full bellies and big smiles. My son suggested that we make this a regular stop every time we pass through town and it's what we plan on doing.

    Great food. Great customer service.

Hubby and I stopped in for a late lunch on our journey home after a quick trip to Disneyland the day prior. It's a long drive, so Bishop is about halfway to home. We don't like traveling with leftovers, so we often share a meal. Yesterday was the Bluey Armstrong burger with a side of the garlic Parmesan fries. The burger was great! Juicy, cooked to perfection, and so flavorful. But the fries? For the love of all that's good those fries sent me on a trip straight to heaven. I wouldn't say I'm a fry snob, but I do know what I like, and these were possibly the best garlic parm fries I've ever had. So much so that I told my hubby I'd recommend going on a 6 hour girls' trip just for the fries. (My gal pals and I do weird trips for stuff like this.) Long story short(ish) stop here for food. We will definitely add this to our bishop stop on future trips!

Unfortunately, ever since the ownership changed, the experience has gone downhill. The customer service is consistently rude and unwelcoming. It feels like staff are irritated just having to take your order. The food is now overpriced for the quality you get, which is a big change from how it used to be. I stopped going for about a year, but recently decided to give it another chance. I called in an order for myself and my disabled grandfather, who only has one arm. I politely asked multiple times if they could please cut the steak for him and even explained why. They clearly seemed annoyed by the request. When I picked up the food, everything looked rushed and just thrown into the boxes--and the steak was not cut. The rest of the meal was just as disappointing. The taquitos were plain with only cheese on top--no sides like guacamole or sour cream, especially disappointing for the price. The loaded potato wasn't even "loaded," just a plain potato. Between the poor service, lack of care, and declining food quality, this place is nothing like it used to be. It's honestly sad to see something that used to feel welcoming and enjoyable turn into somewhere I now dread going. I wouldn't recommend stopping here anymore. There are better places in town that actually value their customers.

The smoke on the brisket was pretty aggressive, leaving ALMOST a bitter taste. Thankfully, I like a pretty aggressive smoke. Nice smoke flavor on the tri tip but also seemed to lack seasoning. Was otherwise pretty good. The sausage ended up tasting pretty good! The beans might have been ever so slightly undercooked, but otherwise tasted good. The mac and cheese says it is baked, but honestly, its hard to tell aside from the burnt cheese on top. Other than that, it was alright. The best part of the experience was the servers.
