Several months ago, we hired Indiana Foundation Services for a project at our house. The individual who visited and prepared a quote was excellent. It went downhill from there. Problems with the project were varied, including failure to measure spaces before bringing in project materials, thereby requiring different materials. In addition, the lifting service that was provided did not fix the issue with our kitchen floor. Following the services, we reached out to share our concerns and requested follow up. We never heard back. Nonetheless, they put us on an annual maintenance program and proceeded to send message after message, even after we unsubscribed. When I emailed to say that we had previously requested contact, were ignored, and that we were not interested in further services, the representative simply sent a thumbs up. The lack of professional integrity is stunning. Our concerns could have been addressed in a professional and prompt manner. We were misled by Google reviews and a really talented salesperson. Our experience more closely matches the Yelp reviews. read more

Extremely disappointed with Indiana Foundation Service. Their company truck (US DOT #1387693) ran me off the road, causing damage to my car. When I called, their General Manager, Pat Diehl, told me to send him my information so their insurance could take care of it. I've sent multiple emails, made phone calls, and followed up repeatedly. Weeks later -- still no response. This is unacceptable. If they treat people this way after their employee caused damage, how do they treat actual customers? Ignoring someone and refusing to take responsibility is unprofessional and shows a complete lack of accountability. I guess my floor choices are fine but when it comes to repairing my subfloor, I can still see my crawlspace and there's places where they didn't put the subfloor on the floor choices so it's like you're gonna fall through and I've contacted them to come back and repair it And no one's contacted me back to do it. Hired for crawlspace drainage and encapsulation. Horrible experience. Completely misdiagnosed the problem and then oversold me on services that were likely unneeded. Shoddy workmanship noted after the first day and required me to crawl the entire space every evening to develop a list of everything that was done incorrectly. 3 day job turned into 3 weeks in order for them to fix all the mistakes. I wish I had read reviews before choosing this company. Their work on my patio left light-colored lines between squares, and large pieces of concrete completely broke off of one side. They came & saw it when I complained, but refused to fix it or refund any money! As much as they charged, I should have gotten a nice one-piece concrete slab. The salesman gave a quote for an encasement and insulation of a crawl space. Due to the way our home was built and added onto ( prior to our purchase) - he stated we would need two sump pumps and another entrance built to the original portion of the home. we also discussed the original entrance to the crawl space which was accessed thru the add on to the house and very tight to get into. We were quoted an additional cost to redo this entrance of $ 640. The way the salesman explained it to us- we would be getting two entrances the same. Instead- for $640 we got one twoxfour frame, a piece of board approx. 3 ft by 4 ft. And a stick to hold the piece of board over the crawl space opening. While building the entrance to the main house the crew missed their target with drilling putting a hole in my living room wall, breaking the baseboard off the wall, and grinding down our original hardwood floor down to the subfloor. Promised to return to fix everything resulted in no show- no calls. Wish I had gone with Basement systems instead of this company. MIke Rowe's commercials aren't to be believed! read more

They said that guy now doesn't work for the company but since I am existing customer I have to go thru the customer experience department to get someone else to come out AND no one ever returns my calls. Re: Indiana Foundation Services problems; Be aware that they did not finish the job at my house as they claimed. Because I cannot get into my crawl space, I wasn't able to check the work done last Sept. They were to pull old drains, retrench and completely place new drains (tiles), also add a couple jacks and 2 new sump pumps. Late this past winter, I noticed a light on in part of my crawl space through the floor where the furnace drain goes through (not seen from the crawl space door due to a foundation wall). When they came out I also mentioned that I heard one sump pump working but never heard the other one. After checking, he said there was water in the crawl space near my garage (this was the only place water had been seen PRIOR to the work being done). I kept waiting and calling and IN Foundation kept saying they were waiting on a report from this guy. They finally sent out someone else. He found that not only had about 43 feet of drains never been put in, but the second sump pump had never had electric hooked up. Later I found the electrician had only been told about one sump pump from IN Foundation. I also have found that since they turned out the light in the crawlspace, the first sump pump no longer seems to be working! On top of what wasn't done, the guy suggested that I get total enclosure since it was "so humid" under my crawl space. I replied that maybe this was due to the water still under there because they didn't complete the job! Also mentioned a crack in the foundation which I'd been told was not a concern by the first person I ever saw from IFS. They are supposed to all come out this month to complete the $19k worth or work that was supposed to have been done and I have asked for them to include an engineer to be sure the work is done and completed correctly. There should have been someone who should have been checking the work done. I sent Groundworks a letter and never heard from them. Not feeling very confident about the work yet to be done and am questioning whether I even needed those jacks. Trust lost. read more

Never use these people. They did work for us and only did have the job. When we had them back to look at it you could tell they did not want to come back and do any work and said on any additional work "we don't do that" even though it was similar to what they had already done. Was a waste on money that we had to spend more on to get corrected right. Should have gone with other people in the first place. read more

This company started a repair on 3/10 and left because we had what they said was asbestos pipe wrap. When we said we couldn't afford to have a remediation crew come in and go on with the project it was suddenly deemed not asbestos. The supervisor removed it and the crew came back two days later. After two trips and 6 days under our house the work was never done to the plan. What was done was horrible, many items never got done, and our house was worse off and damaged after the repair. While arguing over this they sent us an Asbestos report stating all was good. I sent samples of what they left behind to three different labs (one was the same lab they used) all results came back positive for Asbestos. What's worse is they sent the crew back in! The supervisor disturbs and breaks up the asbestos making it air born, tells us and crew all is good, and sends them back under the house. They disturb our HVAC ducts trying to do whatever it is they did ( not what we signed on for) so now I have to worry about what is in the house not just what's under it. Thank you Bryant! Indiana Foundation is guilty of shabby workmanship and does not respond to clients complaints! IF finished a job for us two weeks ago and left our basement worse than it was before . With recent rains, water has poured in; our steps were pulled out, leaving it open to visibly view the water coming in. This is what they promised to fix. As I said, it is now WORSE! Calls to IF have resulted in voicemail replies and no firm time or when, if , or how they will fix the mess they left. IF also tore up much of our surrounding landscaping, which they promised to repair, but have made no attempt to do so. There are now puddles of water where there used to be landscaping. Throwing a few grass seeds down and covering it with straw is totally negligent and unacceptable. We probably will have to sue. We have contacted an attorney. We are currently documenting the mess. Meanwhile I have not been able to access my basement in two weeks! Caveat emptor was not enough ! read more

Foundation work/drainage and moisture. Dylan Rosado was the foreman on the job and Colton Gabbard and Parker assisted. The entire crew did an amazing job on providing communication and step-by-step instruction on what they were doing, we did have to do a change order and everything was laid out professionally and explained why the change needed to be made and how they planned to complete the job. Dylan especially Did a great job of keeping me up-to-date on the work that was being done, he was very friendly and professional, they were at my place for two days and everything was clean and looked the way it did before the crew arrived at the end of every day. I'm highly satisfied with the work that was completed in a timely manner on my property. I would highly recommend this specific crew, and Indiana. Foundation as a company to be used! read more

Contacted Indiana Foundation for an estimate. Scheduled the appointment. Was very clear with their customer service that the home was vacant and no one would be on-site for the inspection. They said that was fine. Texted the key box number to the inspector. A couple of hours prior to the inspection, the appointment was canceled since no one was available. Total waste of time. I could of had an inspection and the work completed in the 10 days it took them to set up the appointment. Will not recommend indiana foundation to anyone.Acculevel came out same day., provided a quote, written report and photos. read more

We financed over 14K to have them do work on our crawl space. only to be charged for work that was never finished. charged for equipment that was never installed. Promised pictures of completed work were never sent or seen by us. service techs that wont do their job, or customer service or management that wont call you back. its a couple years later, still no call backs, money refunded or work completed or equipment installed. But the loan has been paid in full. As of today (04/28/25) was promised by the "customer service" representative, that someone would get back with us (management whom is never at work), but never did. Had an $8k drain installed in our basement. Within a week it was failing and water was still penetrating their system. Was told by install team that it was due to concrete not being cured. Had drywall reinstalled out of pocket. Now 90 days later the system is continuing to fail. They do not want to cover the expense to replace drywall in order to correct the failed install. If a system has failed twice within 90 days, it is an issue with the install. The customer should not have to pay for them to fix their mistake. read more

Thought I'd share my experiences with this company as a person who has trained engineers for over a decade. I don't want to see anyone get swindled by these folks. Kenneth Taulman did an evaluation on my home on August 1st. During the visit, I had to text multiple structural engineering colleagues of mine, and a few folks in construction due to the absolute insanity of what he told me and a friend during this meeting. Let's start with the basics... 1. Insisting that helical piers are completely wrong and counter-indicated for all pre-existing structures. This is so far beyond the pale wrong that I had a colleague in Texas laugh at me over the phone. I think I let him explain this one to me over and over again for about twenty minutes. 2. Insist to get work done first without removing a drainage issue. This is so unprofessional and ridiculous, as piers are *not* a great idea if you have an active drainage problem. When asked "Why should I spend potentially $20K on a solution that water will just destroy?" I was met with *crickets*. 3. Uncompetitive bids. This work was twice as much as their competition. I could go into other items, but this is why I had to write this review. I am still - until this day - amazed these folks are in business. read more

My experience with this company has been anything but what I expected in dealing with a company who are "experts" in their field. A year ago a seemingly knowledgeable representative came out after we found a sagging beam. He identified rotted band board and subfloor along with another sagging area of floor. When we signed our contract he moved quickly through a page that required no signature but would have shown he didn't include the subfloor repair in the quote but said we would have it resolved. He also said the team could do everything from the crawl space. We had two teams at our house on install day ( a regular and training team). We had to cut away part of our deck as the band board couldn't be done internally and we also discovered then the subfloor repair wasn't included. The team did not pay attention to detail. I got in the crawl space several times to check what was being done and identified missed steps that weren't consistent across the whole project. It was during this the second sagging floor issue was found to not be fixed by the initial quote and we had to add an additional 5000 project to the bill. They escalated us through all of this and the gm came out to resolve issues and review which helped close out the project. Fast forward to yesterday and a service agent came for our year check in. He checked the initial work and signed off but then tried to say that two sump pumps should have been installed one in each crawl space and that another area of our house was cracking due to the first repair which would take additional joisting. He was unsure why they didn't sell the sump pumps initially but the project they installed for 21k was just a bandaid fix and our crawl space is now becoming a swimming pool. All said and done the new work is an additional 7k and we're still paying off the first round. There was a lot of pointing fingers in working with them and blaming the rep for poor communication and not knowing what the other areas of the business are doing. I would highly recommend seeking another business if clear communication and expectations are a thing you value. Also, I question the initial project and what was prescribed as it seemed to create new problems and didn't fix the problem from what the support rep explained. read more

Like other reviewers, a young, fresh-faced young man came out and outlined what they could do to stop my flooding basement. My criteria was that I could lay in bed during a torrential downpour and laugh because my basement would be dry. So far, that's been the case. My complaint concerns the annual service I've already paid in advance. They scheduled an appointment with me on 14 August to do the inspection. I couldn't be home that day, but I paid someone to be there. IFS was supposed to be there between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. Nobody showed up. No phone call, no text, no nothing. Hence, I set up another appointment, but two days before the appointment, IFS canceled me. Clearly, they don't intend to provide the service they've already been paid for. It's the case of another company thinking that the customer works for them, not vice versa. IFS, you suck!!! read more

Different parts of our sidewalk areas were sinking, causing trip hazards. Indiana Foundation Services was incredible to work with, from beginning to end. I don't understand the other reviews because they answered the phone every time I called. Our crew was Andrew S. and Jesus R. They were professional and communicated very well! They never hesitated to make sure everything they did met my expectations. We are very pleased with their attention to detail and the job they did! Called several times to get on schedule. Was transferred back and forth between call centers. We were given a reference number which each time we called for follow-up they could not find. We also had to ask for them to correct the address 3 different times. If you are under a time crunch for an inspection response when buying a home, this is not the company for you. They were booked 3 months out, but were going to try and work us in. Two tickets were created for the scheduling captain with no return phone call. It appears as though they have all the business they can handle. In the mean time, we now are down to 4 days to try and find another company. read more

Good crew workers, but absolutely terrible communication from the office staff and supervisors! The guy who did the initial inspection and estimate didn't describe the layout of our crawlspace to the crew correctly, so our 1-day job couldn't be finished on Day 1 (and because the on-site crew couldn't reach any supervisors to get guidance on how to proceed with a new plan since the original plan wasn't right). So a 1-day job that started on July 20th didn't get done until August 1st because they kept saying the crew was coming on a certain date/time but nobody would show up, so I'd contact the office again and they'd say the crew was coming but nobody would show up, and when the crew did finally get back here they had been told that we had removed a bush that was in the exact spot they needed to put a drain BUT NOBODY HAD MENTIONED REMOVING A BUSH TO US! And, once again, the crew couldn't get in contact with the supervisor! When he did finally talk to a supervisor they asked him if we wanted to have the drain set up in a different way that would mean the job got done that same day BUT their warranty would be invalid!! UM NO are you serious?! Absolutely asinine way to do business, I am shocked that they still get customers at all! So yeah, nobody from the office had called after the first appointment went awry to explain the situation and what they would be doing to fix it, nobody called when we had complained of the lack of communication to explain what was going on, but you can be SURE they billed me immediately after the job was finally done! No delays or waiting around to hear from their billing department haha. We will take our business elsewhere next time we need work like this done, for sure. read more

Beware! I own a landscaping business and these people were working next to one of my customers when they trenched into my customers yard and ruined a section of their irrigation system. I was called to repair and was told by 'Mike the manager' that Indiana foundation would cover all costs. I send an invoice for my work in June and it is now October and we have not been paid. Multiple phone calls and emails with three different people and we are still getting the run around. These people are scum. read more

Started off good with their young, fresh out of college representative. He "evaluated" my problem and came back to the table ready to explain why I should pick them to help my foundation problem. He gave me an offer and said if I did not finance and if I signed today I would get additional discounts. Should've been my first red flag. Then you have a total of three.... Yes count them, three days to change my mind. Then a date was set three months out to start the project. It got delayed by them by a week. They sent out two men (they outsource a lot of their work- from call centers in Florida to their workforce). The first two were equivalent to Cheech and Chong. Poor workmanship, sloppy, knocking pipes in basement loose, throwing cigarette butts on my property. They had to come out two days and then I had to contact the main office to complain about some things. A service rep came back to my house with a different crew and made things what I thought, was right. Now to wait for one year follow up where they come out and so any adjustments needed to the jacks. After they rescheduled me a few time - on their end- a workman came out. He said he couldn't do the adjustments by himself and would reschedule with more manpower and more equipment. Three months later I get a phone call the day before to confirm appt. I asked the man on the phone if he was coming alone. He says yes. I said I have a problem with that because you are supposedly needed more manpower & equipment (turns out it was the same guy from three months ago!!) so he says, okay- I will bring help. Next day I am told the floor is in too bad shape to do their adjustment to my jacks. There is rotting in my floor and floor may buckle worse. So of course my question was why did you do $9,200 "work" to an area supposedly in such bad shape. There was no way that damage happened in one year?!? So basically I got six jacks and a couple beams and that's it. The guy gave me a $14,000 quote to fix my kitchen floor. Really?!? Was this a set up?!? DO NOT use Indiana Foundation. I called Indiana Foundation Service to come out, and give me a quote on water proofing my crawl space. They did an inspection, and the sales rep showed me the results of the inspection. That went fine, and then he gave me the price. I told him in the first place that I was not going to make any decisions today when he came. He put on the biggest high pressure salesman act I have ever seen. He ask me three times what would it get for me to make a decision today on a $14,000.00 job. He then said well what if we broke it down into two different jobs would you go ahead with it today? I said no as I wanted to discuss it with my financial advisor, and said well could we call them today. It was a SATURDAY morning! I ask not to be called as I would call them, well that Monday, and Thursday I got a call from them. Watch these guys, unless you like high pressure!!! read more

The workers showed up on time each day on time and their crew chief was charming. They cleaned up the area and the basement hasn't flooded since they completed their work. However, I was dismayed that in the demo process, the studs were just cut off and the suspended ceiling damaged. I knew that I would have to have a contractor in to drywall, but even he commented on the "hack" job they did. It is costing about $10,000 to do repairs. Proceed with caution and have a clear understanding of the amount of damage that will be done during a water proofing job. read more

He said, "If you're not both here you'll have to reschedule the appointment." He gave her a business card and left. He was here for less than five minutes and refused to look at the house or provide an estimate after waiting for a month. 1. A month is too long to wait for an estimate 2. Inappropriate business practice requiring spouse for an estimate 3. We are very dissatisfied. We had buckling floors and now cannot open or close hallway doors correctly. Our initial problem was not fixed. We had our foundation lifted, old insulation removed and new put in and a door installed to our crawl. A couple of things we were told by our inspector, Josh, never happened. The second day of our job the 2 workers showed up much later than we were told and didn't have the proper equipment. One worker left for 3 hours. When they were finished, I showed them that the original problem had not been fixed and we were told it would cost around another $5,000. I called the company and complained. I was told, by Jaycie, I would get a call back a week ago. No communication yet. People are astounded that we paid almost $14,000 to have one of the same problems with which we started. read more

Worst company to deal with ever. Called them for a quote in Jan. 2021 to level out my floors and the original salesman Brian Carr came out and was very professional and easy to work with. He quoted me $6000 to do the job. We did not get the job done then due to lack of funds. We had are currently trying to sell our house so we called them back out to get a updated quote to get the job done this past month. Brian no longer works with with so Aaron Green came out and from the time he stepped in my door he bad mouth Brian Carr and would not stop on telling me how much he didn't know what he was doing. You just don't do that in front of a customer. My house being built in the 1890's has limited access so Aarron told me he could not get me a quote with out me cutting a hole in the living room floor so he could see the rest of the crawl. I asked them to reschedule so I could reopen the hole I had cut originally for Brian so he could get a better look. Instead of rescheduling with me Aarron wrote me a quote for $30,000 to replace every floor joist in 3 room without looking at them and said that's what it will take. How can you quote a job without looking at what is actually going on? All they had to do was come back out and take a look. If they didn't want the job be honest and say that don't just inflate the cost and lie to the customer. read more

I'm so disappointed with what our 13,000 dollars got us, and feel our house is in worse condition now. We had extensive work done on the corner of our house, with a so called lifetime warranty. Steel piers on one side, and steel posts on the other side. Complained from the beginning but they kept saying this is normal, now 2 years later after complaining gives me a 10,000 quote to put steel piers on the side they put the all the posts. My house is buckeling and bowing and cracking inside and outside why would I drop 10,000 more? How sad for us because we just don't have the money for some one else to fix what they started. read more
