It's going to cost them $500 to mail it back to the manufacturer?? I offered to pay the shipping to return it to the manufacturer if that was the issue. They weren't interested in that; they want to collect their $500 "RESTOCKING FEE." We have done a lot of business with this place in the past. In fact, this past Spring, we purchased a large chimenea that is already cracked straight up the middle. It's ready for the trash. This place sure has gone downhill over the last 5 years that we've made purchases with them.

They demoed the old chimney, jackhammered the foundation, poured a new one, and built us a working chimney from (below) the ground up! We opted for a gas log and a nice set of doors to keep the dogs and kiddos out when it's turned off.
