Good crew workers, but absolutely terrible communication from the office staff and supervisors!…read more The guy who did the initial inspection and estimate didn't describe the layout of our crawlspace to the crew correctly, so our 1-day job couldn't be finished on Day 1 (and because the on-site crew couldn't reach any supervisors to get guidance on how to proceed with a new plan since the original plan wasn't right). So a 1-day job that started on July 20th didn't get done until August 1st because they kept saying the crew was coming on a certain date/time but nobody would show up, so I'd contact the office again and they'd say the crew was coming but nobody would show up, and when the crew did finally get back here they had been told that we had removed a bush that was in the exact spot they needed to put a drain BUT NOBODY HAD MENTIONED REMOVING A BUSH TO US! And, once again, the crew couldn't get in contact with the supervisor! When he did finally talk to a supervisor they asked him if we wanted to have the drain set up in a different way that would mean the job got done that same day BUT their warranty would be invalid!! UM NO are you serious?! Absolutely asinine way to do business, I am shocked that they still get customers at all! So yeah, nobody from the office had called after the first appointment went awry to explain the situation and what they would be doing to fix it, nobody called when we had complained of the lack of communication to explain what was going on, but you can be SURE they billed me immediately after the job was finally done! No delays or waiting around to hear from their billing department haha. We will take our business elsewhere next time we need work like this done, for sure.

If you didn't know that the wall was repaired, you wouldn't know. I was very impressed with David's skill and experience. He came up a good plan to recover as much of the existing brick work as he could, and he found ways to hide the fact that newer bricks had been added. Fixing an existing wall in which replacement bricks are unavailable is as much of an art as it is a science and he has it down. He was very professional and conscientious, and he left my patio as clean as he found it. I'm extremely happy with the result.

The price was fair and he seemed reliable, so I hired him to do the work in 3 or 4 days. Due to weather and scheduling other projects, he actually came out just 2 days later. It was fantastic to drive up to my house and see a brand-new gate. Larry and his assistant were finishing up with the post. They had to remove a patch of concrete, then pour new concrete. The new post is very sturdy. Both of them were polite and friendly. Larry said he prefers cash or cashier's checks for payment. Based on this job, I highly recommend Heartland.

I was quoted $50 for every two weeks and they would bill me monthly. When the bill came due they gave me a discount which I did not expect. They use a decent payment system via Quickbooks so I just paid with a card, no cash, no sketchy apps on my phone digging in my bank account. Really well done. Yes I recommend them. We're so grateful we found Reid's Home Repair for our big basement refinish project - great work…read moreand great humans! Our home was built in 1913 and gut rehabbed in 2024. However, the basement was not finished, but had rough-in plumbing installed. We were looking for someone to finish the basement (4 rooms total), including adding an additional bedroom with closet and full bathroom. This included all electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall, door installation, flooring, trim, and painting. Mike was quick to respond to my original inquiry, come check out the space, and provide a quote. He was timely, friendly, and easy to collaborate with. We changed our mind a few times on final design - we appreciate how patient he was with us while we narrowed in on the final plan. The final quote was very detailed and he provided helpful information on the areas for potential cost increase (given that the home is old and there could have been unexpected things identified after work begun). This helped us set our expectations for the project. During the project, he kept us up to date on progress or concerns and kept the area very clean (ensuring very little debris made its way outside the basement into our home). He managed all of the subcontractors (electric, plumbing, carpet, etc) so we didn't need to worry about a thing. Made it super easy by having one point of contact! His work speaks for itself. There were a lot of difficult aspects of the basement to figure out (i.e. uneven walls and ceilings, tricky vents or pipes along the ceiling, water/electrical shutoffs needing to be accessible, etc), but he managed to turn the space into exactly what we were looking for. The attention to detail makes all the difference! In the end, the project took about two months (including carpet installation) and final cost was in line with the estimate. I'd recommend Reid's Home Repair to anyone!

I contacted Indiana Crawl Space Repair for some work I'm needing done in my crawl space. I listed…read moreon my request to be quotes for the following work: -Joist replacements -vapor barrier installation (never had one in) -old insulation removal (installed wrong) -new insulation installation -some work near the sill plate to fix a small leak Let me first say that all the staff I talked with were incredibly friendly! I will pay extra for companies that go above and beyond, and for that reason I was leaning towards Indiana Crawl Space Repair. Whoever mans the phone over there is very kind! I knew when I purchased my home that a few of the joists would need replaced. I confirmed what the inspector told me by getting a quote for the work with another company- about 4K was their estimate, which included a newly found issue, MOLD... I'm reluctant to pay that much, so I wanted a second opinion. So I called ICSR and informed them of the findings and requested an itemized quote for all issues now found. They were quick and polite ! We scheduled a visit only 2 weeks out, which worked fine for me. I allowed the technician to begin the inspection before I arrived back home. He was younger than I would have expected, but courteous none-the-less. The issue was the quote and it's amount. The quote work was exhaustive in the work he believed was needed, which included a very fancy drain system. It also included some other items that I didn't request that would "ensure my crawlspace not retain water"- although this isn't my issue because the crawl doesn't flood. The real issue I saw was that the biggest portion of my original requests- the joists- weren't even included in the cost estimation... when I asked him why he said because he could see no damage. After a few extra questions on how that could be, I discovered that he didn't remove any of the old insulation to check the joists, and only assessed what was visible to the naked eye. The total costs for work I didn't ask for, and for work that didn't address my biggest concern was $12k all in all!! I don't believe his intention was to sticker shock me; i'm just not sure he knew exactly what I was looking for with the work I requested. My rating here was hard to assess- in terms of employees, I would give 5 Stars... in terms of costs I would say more like 2 Star. I will mention, I've been told for all the work they quoted, the price really wasn't bad. Just not what I was looking for.
