It ended up being a very flaky, sketchy, and perplexing experience altogether. The whole time we were led to believe the job was going to be scheduled and completed. He had sent a materials list and a quote/price after he came by to look at our deck. We agreed to all of the terms. We asked for just a bit more info, which was just a simple sketch of what we discussed in person so we would be assured that we are all on the same page as far as what we were wanting. It's a customary practice; especially when doing specific construction / carpentry jobs. He said he would work on the drawing and send it asap; but he never sent it. Halfway during our interaction, he stated that he had some personal issues he needed to tend to. We were very understanding and patient and we took that into consideration. We also agreed to the terms that he only works in the evenings and also on the weekends (weather permitting) because it is a side/second business in addition to his full time job. We realized after awhile that we were being strung along when we hadn't received the drawing after requesting it one more time and him also saying he would send it. It was all talk, and no action. Ultimately, he chose to ghost us. Communication is the key with any business transaction. If he couldn't do the job, he should have been more professional, straight forward and also had the integrity/fortitude to say so. Excuses don't secure customers; and ignoring / blowing them off altogether is bad for business. I extend a fair warning to anyone who decides to contact this business. Look elsewhere to avoid overall frustration.
