We ordered butter chicken and the mixed appetizer for takeout. The order was ready just 25 minutes after placing. The butter chicken was some of the best I've had in nyc. It was so smooth! The naan was cooked perfectly- not too chewy or thick. The mixed appetizer was just okay- it was a bunch of random meat. (But I will give them a pass on this. It was the end of the night and they probably just gave us what was leftover so it most likely was not very fresh. And tbh I don't blame them.) Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. Great place for takeout!

Good quality Indian food. Looking for an authentic Indian food experience in Brooklyn, go here. Soon as we walked in we were hit with a smoky strong scent of their most popular dish. Before we sat we were convince we had to try it. We sat down and the waiter brought out a carafe of water with some complimentary treats. The onion salad was amazing we thought it was tomato. We had some samosa chat and some samosas. We also ordered some garlic naan and then a bunch of entrees suck as korma and tikki masala, we didn't get the popular dish like we wanted but instantly regretted it, cuz as the night went on that's all everyone else on other tables kept ordering. We would know because here came the smoke and the strong scent as its prepared on a hot skillet. Everything was really good but the service takes this place up a notch. The waiter handled every table all by himself and never broke a sweat. He let us know that they were short staffed that night, but we couldn't even tell, because each dish came out prompt and piping hot. We had ordered mango chutney but didn't like that it was so sweet and he quickly took it off our bill and they even gave a compliment dessert of rice pudding, the little golden raisins gives a good sweetness to it. The manager was so nice and sweet.

The staff were so kind and generous. I order food to go, and as I waited, the staff made sure I was comfortable and poured me water at a table and gave me some complimentary papadam while I waited! So impressed by the hospitality. The papadam was great, crunchy, and well seasoned. The garlic naan is a little on the softer side, versus crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. However, it's great for dipping in the butter chicken, and I really enjoyed it. Very possible it got a bit soft from being wrapped in aluminum foil as a to go order, so I would love to try it again when dining in. The butter chicken is not spicy, and has a rich buttery and slightly sweet flavor to it, and the chicken is tender and flavorful. Would definitely come back! Will need to try more on the menu before I can give a five star rating!

Ordered chicken biryani for take out, it's an ell portioned for the price and very flavorful. I would come back and order other dishes. Didn't dine in, but the restaurant seems cozy.

UPDATEE! THE SMALLER CUT CHICKEN PIECES ARE BACK AND MOIST!! We ordered two chicken dishes for delivery and were pleasantly surprised to see the difference. Thank you Indian Kitchen!!

Amazing, affordable Indian food in East Williamsburg. Every dish was flavorful and delicious, and our server went above and beyond with fast and friendly service. We were even given free rice desserts, and he boxed up fresh rice for us to take with our leftover curry! I highly recommend the grilled vegetable appetizer -- it comes with big hunks of the best paneer I've had in a long time. Most people probably do takeout, but try eating in with some friends. You won't be disappointed!

So tasty!!! The butter chicken was delicious and the rice pudding was a great light dessert. Monzu was super friendly and helpful with the menu.

Not gonna lie - I ordered from them by accident. There are so many generically named Indian restaurants in my area, that I just assumed this was one of them. I think I meant to order from India Place or India House. Didn't expect them to deliver to my all the way from Williamsburg, but they did! It was well worth the wait because the portion sizes were INSANE. Especially the biryani. Could've done with a teensy less cardamon though. Not a fan of biting into whole pods. The Lafra special (chicken, lamb and shrimp) was incredibly tasty and filling as well!

My friend was craving Indian cuisine as part of a belated birthday dinner and Masti came to mind. I've tried other restaurants within Brooklyn and although good, there's something about Masti that allows them to outshine the others. Upon settling at our table, a very frigid Saturday evening had us craving a hot Ginger Chai Tea, unsweetened and very good. Pappadam along with the tradtional three chutneys were brought to the table on the house. Our order consisted of: *Chicken Tikka. As a starter, it was excellent. Having ordered it in the past, we knew it was solid and satisfying. Chunky grilled chicken smothered with onions and peppers. *Lasoni Gobi. Deep fried Cauliflower, tangy and sweet. I tasted one delicious floret, but it was my friend's decadent treat to savor. *Roti. Plain. Charred and Grilled. The healthiest bread to order at an Indian restaurant---thin and so delicious. Complemented the dinner very well. *Rogan Josh with Chicken. A first for me (and frankly unfamiliar), this dish was a home run. Chunky pieces of chicken in a yogurt based sauce. Outstanding. *Bricklane Curry. Again with Chicken and made with fresh Curry leaves. Excellent with a spicy kick---highly recommend. What I love about Masti Indian Grill is that they'll substitute any protein or even make it vegetarian from a menu selection. For example, Rogan Josh was under the lamb category, but prepared with chicken instead per our request. Service is always attentive. Staff--hospitable and food is on another level. Excellent, made with passion and precision. A go to spot you can count on for a great meal. One of my favorites.

The cute restaurant was empty, but people picked up their orders or for delivery. The staff gave me a snack that had fennel seeds and was a savory snack while I waited for my order. So sweet. My lunch special was $13 and included chutney, tomato soup, meat samosa, and curry lamb entree with naan and rice. I think it's a pretty good deal. I really enjoyed their rice which is basmati with fennel seeds; this adds so much jazz to the rice. The naan was nice and soft. The lamb curry was ok, and will probably try something else next time.

I got the chicken lunch special at $12.95 pre tax which comes with chicken tikka masala, one vegetable samosa, naan, soup, saffron rice, and 3 difference chutneys for dipping. The chicken tikka masala had a lot of seasoning and a lot of sauce. The chicken was very fresh, chewy, and chunky. I love the chutneys which made everything better. The naan was very soft and warm and easy to chew. The samosa was very starchy in my opinion filled with a lot of potato. Overall the meal was very affordable with a lot of appetizers to go along with the chicken tikka masala meal.

Loved the complimentary pappadums while we waited. The lentil wafers paired so nicely with the dipping sauces. The tamarind chutney was tangy with a hint of sweetness. The mint chutney is a vibrant blend of fresh mint, cilantro, green chilies, and spices. It has a bit of a kick. Ordered a lamb entree and a veggie korma to share. The lamb rogan josh was so rich. The lamb was so tender. It was served in a rich curry sauce infused with cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg. So fragrant. The vegie korma was full of vegetables in a delicious creamy, almond and cashew nut sauce. Delicious! The garlic naan and the cheese naan paired perfectly with our curries. We at this on the sidewalk so it was still fresh when we got it. But for us the food just didn't hit. I recognize it's fusion, but maybe the way things were meant to be balanced didn't mesh. The (impossible burger patty) lahori felt quite bland. Maybe because the burger patty was so thick, but it just kind of was overwhelmed by generic beef patty taste which wasn't what I was expecting. The nihari had some really good flavor, but I found the bread was somehow both quite dry and soggy at the same time. It's hard to describe, but I felt like it was working against the actual nihari flavor. Sadly I do think something like naan or basmati rice would've been better. The fries were pretty unremarkable, too. Just tasted like fries you'd get at your local bodega. I don't expect the wheel to be reinvented when it comes to fusion restaurants, but I just felt nothing actually balanced themselves well (at least for what we ordered). For $50 pre-tip, I'm a bit disappointed. This place has been on my hit list for a while, but I can't see myself wanting to go back. Staff was friendly and the space, albeit small, can fit groups of 2-4 pretty easily. I have a few friends that really like this place, so maybe I'm just the odd one out.

Bombay Grill is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the city. The food is gently spiced and not greasy. The last time I checked, they had an excellent health department grade. The Yelp app is very helpful - it lists the health department grade after the ratings. Bombay Grill also makes excellent curries. I prefer those over the usual chicken tikka masala - although that's always good. If you order lunch, the lunch box has more variety but less of the main course. So if you want just one main dish, it's better to go without a box lunch option and just choose a standard lunch deal.
