I didn't buy anything this go 'round, but I'm looking forward to coming back for organic spices to jar and label, as most of there's are sold by the bag. This a great little market for your Indian cuisine. Not sure how long some of these imports have been on their shelf, but they have it all, that's for sure. The meat didn't look too appealing, and the produce was overpriced. However, they have it. I found interest in all the cool oils on their beauty aisle. Love using them for multiole purposes and also vatika henna for my hair. Didn't try the restaurant, but possibly next time. Don't hold me to it. read more

The market is fascinating, however I've no kitchen and no earthy idea how to cook 95% of the items appearing on the shelves of India Imports......so I'm reviewing the take out Beef Haleem and vegetable Somosas and Fragrant rice: all so superb that none made it into a photo! They have totally changed their frozen food offerings. The place should be called "Bengali imports" now and not India Imports. The food from their cafe used to be SO GOOD before they moved to their current location. I've had food from this location about three - four times over the years and it's been nasty every time. YUCK. We go there very often and I get custom cuts of lamb and goats depending on what I am in the mood for. The cafe next door isn't interesting but the store is my fav spot for meats ! read more

One of the worst Indian restaurants I have ever visited! I ordered several curry dishes including Chicken Tikka Masala, butter chicken and goat korma. Each one was super watery and just had chunks of meat. Bland. Tasteless. Oily. The korma was more of a curry and not actual korma sauce. This place should be shut down. Basically meat in water. The service was nice, however the food lacked a lot of flavor since the last time I came here. I've been a regular here, but it's been awhile since I've eaten here. It's obvious that they changed cooks. I ordered the goat korma and Chicken Brianna rice. It usually is really good, however it's a disappointment now. I love this store, but this review is for the cafe. The Indian Imports Cafe is so cheap and so good. Chicken biriyani is perfect. Goat Korma is excellent. Beef Rajala is awesome. Great naan. Great Beef Kebab. All traditional meals are under $6.00 (if memory serves me correctly). The atmosphere is nothing special, but who cares. Also, they have several halal choices on the menu if you require it. If you like Indian food, eat here. read more

Large portions and made fresh. Wife had the chicken biryani $3.99. Perfectly spiced with not too much heat. Came at a small fresh salad and garnished with fresh cilantro. She also order Bhona dal which is a wonderful creamy lentil dish for $3.99. I had the beef rajala $6.99 and a side of pulao rice $1.39. The beef had too much bone, mystery pieces and random cloves but I gotta say...I'll order it again! Delicious. Especially with the naan $1.19. They need to add staff. At least one more member to run the orders and wipe tables. Note: the place was not dirty by any means. This is going to be a two-part mixed review since this is a food mart and restaurant. Let's start off with the good. The Food mart is great! HUGE selection, great prices. Nough said. Now the restaurant SUCKS! My friends and family really love this place. But I can't stand it. HORRIBLE service. Sometimes rude but overall just soo airheaded and unconcerned with you. I always get a "meh" vibe from their staff, they lack soo much customer service and any people or social skills in general. Presentation is crap too, soo dirty, there's never any basics like napkins, utenziles, cups, sugar, anything. If there is it's all dirty and thrown all over the place. Oh and don't bother asking the workers, you're not worth their precious time. Food isn't the best either. IMO most of their menu is tasteless, bland and boring. Boneless chicken biryani is the only thing worth eating, that is, if they don't drown it with oil and/or salt as usual. But if they do seem to make it right for once it's pretty good. The lack of service and boring food on the restaurant-side unfortunately makes this place a 2 star rating overall. The mart on the other hand is 5 star. read more

It's a Indian eatery with a market inside/next to it. The food was fresh and durn good definitely authentic. Loved the reasonable prices for good food. I've had the chicken biryani, goat biryani and the naan. The meal could last for two eating sessions as the rice is plentiful well depending on your gluttony eating yummy food. The meat was cooked properly and the flavor was proper. All of the items I tried were good.There are several tables for you to enjoy your food there or you can get take out. The workers were friendly and helpful. The market side was like any typical international market with different spices, veggies etc. As I waited for my food in the back of the building I had the wonderful experience of seeing the fresh huge cuts of animal being delivered to the store. Definitely legit literally halves of animals lol. If I'm in this region again I would definitely hit this spot up. The pictures definitely do justice wish I could have tried the things other Yelpers posted but maybe next time. read more

The place is ok, but I have to warn you.. There is a small jewelry store inside the grocery store, now she claims that she sells 14 and 18 k gold.. Guess how she's pricing it?? She sells it for the price of 24k gold. And when I tried to inquire about it, I was asked to leave the store!!! I love this place. They have the best prices on halal meat.. The butchers are awesome! They will even chop up your meat, remove fat so you don't have to. Their products are mostly fresh, though I have picked up a few expired items. Decent prices. My only complaint is on I'm guessing the female owner. She can be a bit rude and impatient but luckily I rarely have to deal with her as she's usually walking around the store and not up front. read more
