I'm from Queens and I used to travel to Jackson Heights to get Indian food and I'm glad I found authentic Indian food close to home. Authentic cuisine for take out or dine in. Large variety of vegan options. The vegan tofu tikka masala is out of this world. The veggie vindaloo, saag, and other veg dishes are delicious too. Portions are pretty good and the staff is really nice. They offer trays for small and big catering orders as well. They take catering orders same day. Conveniently located in shopping mall. This Indian restaurant is amazing! The food is delicious. I ordered Lamb Biryani, North Indian Lamb Curry, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Boti Kebab and desert. Every dish was amazing. In the Lamb Biryani, the lamb chunks are huge and soft, you don't have to hunt for pieces of meat in the rice. The rice itself is very flavorful. The meat curries (North Indian Lamb Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken) are all very tender and exploding with flavor. All three curries were delicious. The Chicken Tikka Masala is more tomato's tasting and the Butter Chicken is more buttery, otherwise they taste very similar. The Lamb Boti Kebab were very tender, marinated chunks of lamb if you prefer dry, tender meat without curry. I took a picture of what was left over after me and my 2 children ate. I ordered to go during the Corona pandemic, the owner was cleaning and cooking himself to ensure that everything was safe and secure. I wish I could give this restaurant 5 stars because the food is delicious. However it took a very long time for our food to come out which is why I took off a star. Another slight turn off was that I was given a can of soda with no glass plus my husband was given a mango lassie that was pre made in a plastic cup while the diners next to us were given their drinks in glasses. Not sure why? Ok onto the food...We loved the gobi Manchurian, garlic naan, chili garlic roti and the lamb in the lamb vindaloo was so tender and flavorful. The server, who I believe is the chef's son, was very friendly and made good suggestions. They have a very busy takeout business so perhaps they need more help in the kitchen. Delicious food and if you have time it's worth the wait. If you order to go and he says 25 minutes... give it at least 40! read more

We ate last night for the first time last night at Inde Spice. The food was absolutely fantastic and the staff was very happy to adjust the amount of "spice" to suit our preferences. The various dishes were served "family style" which permits neophytes( like us) to try various offerings (and there is a wide selection to chose from on the menu) rather than committing to a single menu choice for the evening. They also permit patrons to bring their own adult beverages which they will be happy to serve you for a nominal "corking fee". I think what helps set this restaurant above all others serving delicious food is the very attentive wait staff who could not have been nicer and more accommodating. I've gotten delivery from here twice and it has not disappointed yet. I've ordered lunch specials for the chicken tikka masala and saag paneer with naan. The chicken tikka masala has big juicy pieces of chicken. I can't say that for a lot of other Indian restaurants on Long Island at this price point. I've never tried saag paneer before and I am glad I tried it. I would definitely recommend this dish if you want something light, but is still rich in flavor. They have generous pieces of naan as well! Even though the containers were filled to the brim, the food was packed neatly and delivered well! No spillage whatsoever. The restaurant is kind of far, but the food was still hot when it arrived. I would definitely consider dining in at some point. read more

We're new in town and we're looking for Indian food to eat. I checked out the menu to see if pricing was reasonable and since it was my husband and I decided we would dine here. The restaurant is located in a plaza with other food establishments so parking is definitely available. When we entered there was a small group finishing up and a couple still dining. We were greeted immediately and they wiped up a table for us so we could be seated. The restaurant looks just as pictured, about 10 tables for couples or groups. We ordered a mild chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, samosas and had a mango lassi and coke to drink. While ordering we did inquire about portion size and were told up front the entree wouldn't be enough for two people. We were willing to see what came out and order more if needed. (It was barely enough for one. There were 6 pieces of chicken in the sauce.) Flavor wise the food was good. The samosas were hot and flaky and you could tell they were fresh because I could see and smell green herbs in the potato filing. The chicken tikka masala was good, very tomato heavy. Garlic naan was nice and garlicky. My husband enjoyed the chicken and rice while I consumed the naan and dipped it in the tikka masala sauce. While the restaurant wasn't busy with fine one customers there were quite a few drivers that picked up food. We will be back to enjoy more from the menu and look forward to the opportunity for delivery in the near future. read more

Much "international food" isn't! This place is the real deal! I have been twice and have been impressed twice. The Veg Appetizer Aloo Kale Tikki is delicious! All the Tandoori that we have gotten from the clay oven has been fantastic: Wings are perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and hot and moist inside. Likewise the amazing lamb chops (marinated and cooked to perfection.). Naan breads are spectacular. We've also enjoyed the Chilli Shrimp and the Goat Dum Diryani. Everything is authentic and scrumptious. We've concluded our meals with Gulab Jamun (hot, sweet dessert), Madras Coffee, and Masala Tea. Perfect together! Portions are generous. Service makes you feel like you are in the cook's home. The place is immaculate. On a scale of 5 stars, I give this place a 10 - and so to do the others who were with us both times. Was craving chicken tiki masala, tried to find somewhere close by that had take out & came upon Inde Spice, reviews were good, it's not too far away I had errands in Commack so decided to try them out. As soon as I walked in the aroma caught me, soft spices wafting in the air. I got the lunch special (8.00) not bad. I didn't have it until much later in the day and the rice was still fluffy, not 1 big block like I've had before with other take out rice. The chicken was big chunks of tender white meat and the sauce was flavorful and full of delicate spicy fragrance! I'm now a fan of Inde Spice!!!!! Actually the craving is back lol. I randomly came across this place through seamless app. I loved my first couple of food experience with them. When we tried to order recently we found out that they no longer deliver to our area. We recently did an order pickup. I loved their appetizer chili chicken which is why I wanted order from there even though the place is pretty far for me. But I was totally disappointed this time with their chili chicken, and other dishes we ordered. The food didn't have the flavors that we experienced last time. I would give 3/10 for the chili chicken. I was VERY disappointed with the chili chicken. May be their chef changed? The food was not as good as before.
