They are the best chinese take out chinese restaurant in the area. A small family run restaurant, the owners are friendly, kitchen is clean. They are 5 minutes from Tanger outlet. Their food ( taste and price) are way better than eat in the Tanger outlet. We brought some egg rolls, cheese wonton and boneless ribs combo. read more

Ordered delivery this evening. We are in Bay Shore and they charged $2 for the delivery. Called at 7:05 and it arrived by 7:30 so very quick delivery. Food arrived hot and good packaging. Food tasted good and good quality. Loin had a slight fish taste to us though. But everything else was great. Would order from here again. read more

This place is not what it was. No pork in the pork egg rolls. No pork the pork fried rice. Mongolian beef for over $11 all veggies.

Simply put, disgusting food and terrible service. Portage from this place recently only to have my food delivered in poor condition and smelling very badly. I ordered no seafood but my food smelled as if it came from the ocean. I called to try to rectify the situation to no avail. Needless to say I threw out my dinner that night. read more

I ordered food for delivery. I was told 40 minutes. I called up after an hour and 15 minutes, I was told a few more minutes... I called back after another 20 minutes, they said five more minutes... I called back after another 15 minutes, they agreed to refund me. Pass if you are looking for a reasonable delivery time read more

My coworker and I were both in the mood for chinese for lunch. This was the only place that offered delivery (Grubhub) by the time our early lunch break started. I got sesame chicken lunch combo with fried rice and an eggroll. It was nice and fresh. It didn't taste old or that it had been sitting there since last night. Sesame chicken was all white meat, which is a huge plus. The eggroll was delicious! Fried to perfection and not greasy at all. Flavors were delicious as well. This is my new go to when I'm craving Chinese ag work. read more

Quick ,really good food and the price was decent. Will try them again . The wings and sesame chicken was yummy and really Great service.

I'm not from Deer Park but were in the area because I had been shopping at the Tanger outlet. My kids wanted Chinese food for lunch and I'm not a fan of China Max located in the outlet. China Max's quality is low and they use too much sugar in their sauces. New Fortune House is a much better option and is about 10 minutes from the outlet. The owners were very sweet and considerate. We ate in the restaurant and they brought our food out to us and were just very kind when making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The decor of the restaurant is standard for take out Chinese so don't expect much. They have a good amount of seating which is convenient. The food came out hot and seemed relatively healthy to me. I didn't detect any MSG nor a heavy hand on the salt or sugar. I'm a vegetarian and ordered the massaman curry with tofu and brown rice. Tasty yet light and the ingredients were fresh. The portion was pretty large so I took half of it to go. My husband ordered General Tso's Chicken and the kids shared an order of Sesame Chicken. All of our dishes were lunch specials and came with either soup, egg roll or soda. We'll definitely return the next time we're in Deer Park! Visited: March 17, 2018 read more

I had my real first delivery in the longest I could remember tonight, probably the shortest turn around time I have for review as well. Because of the snowy and icy road I vied for getting delivery than risking driving out in the dark since I suck driving in the snow. They have a pretty good ordering website and the delivery came just as expected I didn't have to wait long at all especially in this weather I was impressed with their speedy delivery Anyway to my surprise this place was actually pretty good for a casual chinese food place. Their food tasted bit lighter so I think they aren't using MSG as they says on their menu which is gave me a slightly healthy feeling for getting Chinese food delivery haha. The portions were huge and most of the orders are under $10. Its definitely enough for at least two meals. Plus they have free delivery within 3 miles radius that I was luckily to be inside the circle :) I got two entrees to try out with plenty of leftovers for many future meals to come. The chicken with veggie was pretty good, quite light and not overly salty that I usually see at chinese fast food places. The tofu I thought would be more like mapo tofu but turned out to be firmer tofu in chili sauce.. not as great as I had anticipated but really for the price its good enough for a very fulfilling meal. Definitely a good choice for quick and easy Chinese food. read more

Were new to the area and of course you need good take out staples! After a little searching and few tries and fails of other local places, we decided to give this one a try The foods always hot upon delivery Everything we've gotten has been delicious The family enjoys their sesame chicken, general tsos dumplings, won ton and egg drop soups I usually get steamed chicken or egg foo young The egg foo young was really tasty- fresh and not overly greasy. Gravy was good as well We usually order fairly late (like 10pm) due to our schedules and they're very accommodating and friendly The cost is also extremely fair for the amount they give you! Give it a try!!! read more

By far, my favorite Chinese restaurant since moving to deer park a year ago. I just love their shrimp & broccoli and fried veggie dumplings!! read more

This place is terrible. Food is bland. Lo Mein had nothing but noodles and everything tasted the same. Don't order from here.

One and done. Tiny egg rolls with hardly any filling. Quart of wonton soup only had 6 wontons and broth, no greens no pork strips. Pre-packaged Chinese noodles. read more

Dirty place like most of these types of holes in the wall. Service fine to order no issues there, food has not much taste. My biggest issue with this place is after I ordered is after touching money and everything else the guy behind the counter proceeded to gather and prepare the food by picking it up with his bare hands. I won't be going back read more

Of the different Chinese food places I have tried around Deer Park, New Fortune is by far the best in my opinion. The only downside is that it's parking lot could use some work, the parking lines are all faded and there's a large hole near one of the entrances to the lot. The restaurant itself is very clean and the owners/staff is very polite/nice. I have been there twice and have no complaints. The food is great, a step up from some of the surrounding places and the wait times are fairly short. All in all, I'll be coming back. read more

Super friendly staff. Food is good as well! The wonton soup isn't too salty and the crab Rangoon has a good amount of filling!

First time ordering here, I really like their broccoli chicken, let's try it together, very good service

Our delivery go-to for chinese food in the area. Very good food, flavors and less greasy than others. Great neighborhood gem. Recommend to give them try. Our faves are the hot and sour soup, shrimp w lobster sauce and Mongolian beef. read more

Defffffiinniiteeeeellyyyy new owners! The food isn't that great anymore! The portions are smaller as well! Oilier :( it's unfortunate because now I have to find a new Chinese food spot! Food is still gross :/ rice tastes sour! General tso chicken tastes like sugar chicken! Sad read more

This used to be my favorite place for Chinese takeout but not anymore. The food is different. I don't know if it's a new owner or new chef but their food isn't as tasty as it used to be. Every time I had friends over and we ordered from here, my friends would rave about how good the food was. They used to have the best sesame chicken and now it's horrible. I won't order from here anymore. I used to order in once or twice a week but now Im searching for a new place for takeout. read more

This Chinese place is not as good anymore. These new owners are terrible, ordered $50 worth of food and the ONLY thing that was good was the shrimp roll. THESE ARE NOT THE SAME OWNERS! Be aware read more

Local Restaurant with fresh, delicious food. Their vegetables and rice dishes are always amazing.

Vegetarians: The sesame tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce was flavorful and probably the best I've had.

Best Chinese food that I have had on Long Island. All vegetables and ingredients were fresh, tried the sha-cha chicken because of another reviewer recommendation. I got it with a hot and sour soup, best i've had. It was awesome and cheap as dirt. Look forward to going again. read more

I'm very picky when it comes to Chinese food. If it ain't from Brooklyn then it's not worth it in my opinion, however this place is really good. Their egg roles and boneless spare ribs are amazing. I love the chicken and broccoli too. I definitely love this place and recommend it to others. read more

The new owners are clearly taking shortcuts. This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant. They have changed the duck sauce, curry rice, sweet cheese wontons, egg rolls and general Tso chicken all for the worse. I can't order from there anymore. If anyone finds a good place please post. read more

I'm a fan...had my first two take outs (delivery actually) from here recently and the food was very good. i had the happy family and it was packed with everything. I also had the salt baked shrimp and it was delicious! Very large fried then baked shrimped with spicy peppers.mmmm. The basics such as egg rolls and shrimp toast very good too. I'll post photos next time! read more

No major complaints about the food. Service is fast and they are compromising with altering menu food.

Decent take out, tried a couple of places and so far this is our go to pick. Place looks clean inside which is a plus, and food tastes good. Haven't tried everything yet but my husband loves the fried wings, says they are the best he's ever gotten from a chinese take out. read more

Best Chinese takeout in the area. Courteous on the phone, super fast and friendly delivery, and as seen in other comments, excellent food. The hot and sour soup is perfectly spicy with lots of mushrooms, and their pad thai is really amazing, especially considering the price and portion size. And also as mentioned, their vegetable preparation is spot on. Really great. read more

The ownership is changed of this place since the new ownership the quantity of the food really sucks & the people are rude too..we order the combo with shrimp egg rolls...the rice were half cooked & instead shrimp egg rolls I got regular egg rolls ... anyway I gave them one more try but this the chicken lowmein was watery & again instead shrimp egg roll again I got veg egg roll I try to call the shop & the lady was so rude instead of apologising she told me that I can go somewhere else ...so at this point I wouldn't recommend anybody going there ...this place really SUCKS read more

I take out from here and am never disappointed. All vegetables are cooked well (still crisp) and there is flavor without the undesirable "head pressure" I tend to get when I eat salty Chinese food loaded with MSG. I recommend the egg foo young (any style) and the black pepper chicken. Even the chow mien (that I consider bland normally) was tasty. I went with the vegetable and would definitely order these items again. read more

I had a feeling that there were new owners. Had delivery the other night. Nothing we ordered was as good as the old owners. Food was just okay. I always thought this place was the best delivery in the area. Time to find a new place. :( read more

The sha-cha chicken is amazing. All other dishes were very good, great take out food. Beef curry fried rice was delicious, and the prices are cheaper than other take it Chinese places the area. read more

Great takeout Chinese food. Took me a while to find a good place near me. I usually get the shrimp with garlic sauce, chicken with broccoli, and Mongolian beef. read more

NEW OWNERS, Jen and Gordon have left we'll have to see if the new owners can keep up the quality and hospitality we were used to....

My first time ordering from here. Everything was good, had flavor and not greasy like some Chinese places. Excellent prices and you get free stuff if you spend over 25.00. Didn't try delivery as the first time I get food I pick up to check the cleanliness out. They were on point. Fast friendly service and generous portions. We ordered Hot and sour soup, steamed dumplings, human and Mongolian beef, four seasons. All were delicious and we received general chos chicken free. We will be ordering again. read more

Usually the food here is fantastic without a doubt... but today was horrible. The food was already late, so i called to see if everything was OK. ONE HOUR later i called and told them i had to cancel because we didn't have time to eat. Made sure to tell them that its ok, mistakes happen but they wouldn't let me cancel???? THEN the delivery guy comes, wont leave, so i tell him i cant pay for it and already talked to his boss, explaining it was an hour late.even offered to tip him for the ride. i'm across the street from the place..... HE STARTS YELLING AT ME WHILE MY DAUGHTER IS IN THE BACK! Getting IN MY FACE pointing to the hours which only POINTED To the fact it was an HOUR AND A HALF LATE! I told him id just catch him next time, trying to be friendly but he starts getting nasty telling me to never even step foot in there again???? AT THIS POINT I HAVE A CRYING BABY IN THE BACK A YELLING MAN DEMANDING MONEY FOR COLD FOOD, SO I CLOSED THE DOOR AND I JUST HEAR HIM YELLING AT ME!!!! I now have to drop off a crying girl off without any food, get ready for work in 15 minutes, and go to work for 10 hours without anything in my system. The girl who's usually at the front seems like a sweetheart.. but today i just got VILE PEOPLE whom i would PERSONALLY FIRE IN A SECOND. read more
