Came here for the very first time today with my brother Peter and his daughter Kristina. Based on…read moreall the overwhelmingly positive reviews on social media, we decided to try the daily All You Can Eat Lunch Buffet for $24 per person. I'm 65 years old and have lived here on Long Island all my life in Suffolk, Nassau and Queens counties. I've been to many different restaurants over the years....and the Lunch Buffet at Saffire has to be hands down THE BEST dining experience that I've ever had in terms of FOOD, VALUE and absolutely the HOSPITALITY. It's great to be able to find such a new and wonderful Indian restaurant. THE FOOD: So let's start of first with food. An absolute 15 OUT OF 10 STARS!!! The Goat Meat was the most TENDER and TASTIEST I've ever had! The Tikka Marsala Chicken and Tandoori Chicken were also incredible. The Vegetable Samosas, Curried Spinach, Haka Noodles, Rice and Naan Bread...all were amazing!! And the Mango Lassi with Rose Petals was such a sweet and welcoming accompaniment. Without a doubt, Saffire has THE BEST Indian cuisine that I've ever had!! THE VALUE: What more can I say other than an ALL YOU CAN WANT LUNCH BUFFET FOR ONLY $24??? Most SOLID VALUE on Long Island...period!!! Definitely looking forward to coming for dinner to experience some more WONDERFUL tastes of India!!! Check out their menu at https://saffireli.com/menu THE HOSPITALITY: I can say with absolute truth that this is the very first restaurant that has ever made me feel like a treasured member of the family from the moment we walked in the door to the moment we walked out. ***I have to especially thank MICHAEL for his SINCERE PRESENCE and ABSOLUTE EXCELLENCE in making sure our first visit exceeded all expectations. The time we spent conversing with him today GUARANTEES a return visit to Saffire. And thanks to Michael's recommendation...I also discovered how much I like Chai Tea. Michael also introduced us to the owner Chani and his lovely wife so we could express to them directly how positive of a first visit we had. Meeting them both also enhanced how welcomed we all felt. We also loved the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. A wonderful environment in which to enjoy a truly delicious meal. So to summarize: AN ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS LUNCH BUFFET AT AN AMAZING VALUE, ALONG WITH THE WARMEST AND SINCERE HOSPITALITY YOU'LL EVER EXPERIENCE!! Please visit Saffire...and ENJOY the experience!!

My favorite Indian restaurant is about a 30-minute drive away, so I wanted to find something closer to the beach we were visiting. We decided to try the lunch buffet here and loved everything! They told us they've only been open for about a year, and I really hope they succeed. I'm always happy to support and share when a restaurant is worth the trip. I'm not sure if it's completely authentic, but I can tell you...it's really good! We will absolutely be back!

While the restaurant isn't high-end when it comes to…read morethe look (it features faux-brick wallpaper, dated booths, basic ceiling tiles, plastic-laminated menus, & tiny dispenser paper napkins), the hospitality & food completely make up for it. Despite the casual setting, they include some lovely touches like heavy copper pitchers & glasses for water, sleek individual LED lights at each table, a few beautiful Indian-style hanging mosaic lamps from the ceiling, & fantastic background Bollywood music playing (for example, "Tere Naina" from My Name Is Khan). It's also always a great sign when you see local Indian folks eating here too. The staff is exceptionally pleasant & attentive, & it's fantastic that they offer dedicated, separate vegetarian & vegan menus alongside their traditional meat offerings. The food was fantastic across the board. The Dahi Puri was creamy, tangy, & crunchy, making for absolute perfect little bite-sized flavor bombs. The Paneer Tikka Tandoori was marinated beautifully with amazing depth of flavor, finished with a great char straight from the tandoor on the paneer, peppers, & onions, plus just the right touch of spice. Dipping it into the mint chutney swirled into yogurt sauce was delightful. The butter naan was to die for with its warm, amazingly buttery, perfectly baked texture. To top it off, the mango lassi was great & very tasty, even though it comes served in a plastic takeout cup. The food was so good that I ended up ordering more to go to share for lunch tomorrow! My only real complaint is wishing they weren't so far away. Overall, it's a fantastic spot if you're looking for authentic, delicious, flavorful Indian food & warm service over fancy decor.

Luckily we had the place to ourselves because the owner was so helpful with deciding what to have. We got the pani pori, gobi Manchurian cauliflower, vegetable samosas, garlic naan, chicken curry and kadai chicken curry. The pani pori comes with veggies inside and a delicious tamabrind sauce. The cauliflower dish was my favorite! It's in a spicy/sweet sauce and fried. You could eat it plain or with a side. The samosas and naan were also delicious. The naan was so fresh and the texture was perfect. The curries were flavored well and the portion size was large enough that it could serve two people. The atmosphere was at inde spice was great. I would totally go back!

I ordered Chicken Malai Tikka and my friend ordered Aloo Palak. The Aloo Palak, which is vegetarian. was prepared with spinach, potatoes, tomatoes, in a beautiful onion sauce cream and spices. It was deliciously flavorful and cooked perfectly. My Chicken Malai Tikka was so tender, juicy and deliciously flavorful. The chicken had been marinated in yogurt, spices, and cheese cream, then cooked in a clay oven. The flavor of the marinade permeated completely through each deliciious and succulent piece of the chicken. A large platter arrived with perfectly cooked rice to accompany our entrees. We also ordered the delicious Sesame Naan which arrived with two dipping sauces. The serving sizes were just right leaving us with enough left over for us to take home to enjoy the next day. A note: When we arrived, and during our dinner, we noticed quite a number of people coming in to pick up their to go orders which was an indication of how popular their food is. We concur and can't wait to go back to try some of their other dishes.

I came here last week for an event, and got to enjoy basically a tasting menu of sorts…read more This menu took Indian flavors on a seriously fun ride. From rich and smoky to spicy, tangy, creamy, and refreshing. Banjara Tikka brought tender chicken thighs layered with yogurt, fried onion and garlic. Mauryaji Basket Chaat delivered chickpeas, potato, tamarind, mint, pomegranate and a creamy yogurt mousse. The Chicken Seekh Kebab was perfectly seasoned and savory with pickled laccha onion, while the Guntur Chilli Chicken Bao turned up the heat with Guntur red chili, sesame and refreshing beetroot shikanji shots. The vegetarian dishes absolutely held their own as well. Chilli Momo with carrot, sesame and seaweed, came out with a soft, delicate bite and a subtle chew, filled with a lightly spiced vegetable mix that leaned savory and aromatic rather than overpowering heat. The Paneer Makhni was rich, velvety, and deeply comforting. The paneer stayed soft and pillowy, soaking up a buttery tomato-cashew gravy that was slightly sweet, gently tangy, and finished with that unmistakable fenugreek aroma that tied everything together. The mains were just as unforgettable. Laal Maas came in bold and unapologetic. Tender goat slow-cooked until it practically melted off the bone, swimming in a deep, smoky gravy built on mathania chilies that brought slow heat. The Shrimp Malai Curry was the complete opposite in tone. Silky coconut milk wrapped around plump tiger shrimp, with Bengali whole spices adding a gentle sweetness and aromatic depth that made the dish feel light yet indulgent at the same time. And somehow dessert still had room to impress. Rose Kulfi was creamy, floral and sweet without being overwhelming. Drinks included everything from the floral, mezcal-and-rooza Gulabo to Mango Lassi. And as someone who historically doesn't like anything rose flavored, I enjoyed both the drink AND the dessert. Just as good as the food, was the service. It is definitely a spot that should not be missed.

The space is modern and beautifully decorated, but still has that cozy, comfortable feeling that makes you want to settle in, order way too much food, and stay awhile. The staff was also wonderful. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and, most importantly to me, genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. I always appreciate when the people working at a restaurant can actually talk to you about the dishes, ingredients, flavors, and what makes something special. It makes the whole experience feel much more personal. But the FOOD is absolutely the star here. Everything we tried was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and just so satisfying. My favorite dish was hands down the chili chicken momos. They had exactly the right amount of heat--spicy enough to give you that little kick, but not so much that it overpowered everything else going on in the dish. The momos themselves were delicious, and the combination of spice, savory flavor, and texture made them something I could honestly order over and over again. I also love that Banjara has some more unique cocktails rather than just the standard drinks you see everywhere. They fit the modern feel of the restaurant really well and make it a fun place to come for dinner, drinks, or both. As someone who genuinely LOVES Indian food and is always excited to explore different dishes and regional flavors, I really enjoyed my experience here. Banjara manages to feel modern without losing the soul and flavor that makes Indian food so special. Great atmosphere, genuinely kind and knowledgeable people, creative drinks, and food that makes you start thinking about what you're ordering next before you've even finished what's in front of you. If you're looking for a cozy, modern Indian restaurant with a little personality and some seriously delicious food, give Banjara a try. And please do yourself a favor and order the chili chicken momos.

And the kicker of it all is that in point of fact, I really was not trying to accomplish anything magnificent like inventing a new form of renewable energy or debrief the Pentagon. Merely looking for a few survivor items for my stealth camping trips -- wooopie dooo -- couldn't close this undertaking a retarded clam could have easily handled. So I'm at a traffic light, and I look left, or was it right -- no, it was right -- I Always get those two confused. And it was one of those moments where time slows to a crawl. No a beautiful mermaid wasn't swimming up to me to take me away to her oasis and feed me oysters and champagne, but I'm still waiting for that one -- one day, one day. But there - in the yonder- another beautiful vision- just a stones throe from us was an Indian food spot complete with a grocery store. Bam, pulled the rig in and sprung off mr seat like a toad on a hot rock and inside I hopped, man I mean I love me some Indian food, I grew up with it dontcha know.. Across the back wall were the food offerings, I went with: garlic nanny and a lamb over rice dish. Now please note, I was offered a "hot green sauce" so when you see the photograph, don't be alarmed, it looks a bit peculiar. The portion was generous enough for two, and garlic naan was a bit dry but I didn't mind one bit. I began walking around the little grocery area whilst eating a taragon cookie (correction -- half the box) but many wonderful products were offered, some I was familiar with, others -- not so much. It only took a few moments to when the cook and the owner in the halal meat area -- knew that I was down. Indians are so classy, intellectual and refined -- I doubt much they're familiar with what it means to "be down". So I'll tell 'em, it's about being with their program, understanding and comprehension and straight up love for them and all their about.
