I was promised better than whataburger, and ended up with a Hawaiian roll stuffed with some sort of meat type slider, what a let down, this is what you'd expect from some Californian joint , over hyped and lots of media to fool the mediots, oh wait it is a calibullstufffornian brand , so typical , they should pay you to feed you this garbage. Super soft burger buns. Crisp fresh lettuce and you have to order the burger animal style. My go to is animal style and protein style double double. I was surprised at how quickly they were able to serve the food considering it was PACKED. I am not sure about the drive through lane but the dine in was super fast. read more

What can I say that won't get me in trouble as a native Texan? The debate runs strong on In-N-Out vs Whataburger. Let's start with the burgers. They aren't really comparable because In-N-Out's burgers are a totally different concept. The patties are smaller because they are meant to be stacked. The bread is softer, so if you don't like that, these aren't for you. I got my cheeseburger "animal style" which means the patty is grilled in mustard, grilled onions are added, and there is more spread. I really appreciated the flavors of this. Really took it up a notch! The fries are good when they first come out and are hot, perfectly seasoned. Not too salty, just right. But, when they cool off they change texture and become almost hollow. It's hard to explain. They also use the whole potato so if you like the little crispy fries that are all skin, you'll love these. I also had a chocolate milkshake, and I have to say, this was one of the best shakes I have ever had. It was thick and creamy, and very chocolatey. It is the superior shake. Don't come for me. The service was really good, they are always cleaning. And while one of the employees was cleaning, she made pleasant conversation with me. Very nice. And the employees seem to be having a good time. They were singing, and yelling compliments at one another. Do they train them like that or was this genuine? I'd love to know. The decor is cute, 50's and 60's style depictions of cars and diners. Obviously In n Out is an Iconic west Coast burger place. Started 75 years ago. The burgers are good. Juicy fresh and made to order. The service is very quick and very friendly. Has the feel of a 50s diner. It has a high cult following. I like the place. For 10 bucks you get a double double cheese burger and fries. That's 2 patties and 2 slices of cheese. The fries are different than other fast food restaurants. They are cut fresh to order. I like them. They do have a different texture than others, and that makes them unique. The problem with most people that have not tried them before is the bar is set too high. All the hype gets them excited and expect a life changing event, in reality it's just a very good fast food burger made fresh on site. Go in get as many patties in the burger as you can eat and use napkins because they are juicy and good. You can also research the secret menu and order like an insider. Be ready to face the crowd be patient and enjoy. If the drive through is long park at HEB and head inside. It will move fast. read more

Terrible experience! When we arrived it was not busy, 11:00 am - just opened. My husband and I ordered 2 burgers and fries. It took over 25 minutes for us to receive our food. After about 20 minutes, my husband went to check on our food. What ended up being our burgers had been sitting your the entire time. By the time we got our food, the burgers were cold. My husband said something about the cold burgers at the counter and was told "that's how we do it." Yuck! We won't be back. read more

Staff was great no issue with me. Burger wasn't bad a little too salty but everything was fresh. Line wasn't to long but what bugs me and whataburger does it too is they have people out there before I see the menu to take my order. I'm not familiar with the menu and like to review it quickly. By the time I got to the window my fries were cold, as was the bun. I did like how the bun was toasted. I got onions think they would be diced...nope big slab of sliced onion which to me took over the taste of the burger. The coke was basically a Coke. I might go back when the line is shorter. One of the worst hamburgers I've ever had in my life. I really don't understand the hype and why so many people claim to love these awful hamburgers. They just don't taste good to me. I've had microwave cheesburgers from grocery stores that taste better. The menu is really small and boring. The fries are not good either and the milkshakes are also mediocre and tiny. The people who work there are friendly and it's not their fault that the food is horrible. Service is great. I'm glad we have an In and Out for all those who love it. I Personally believe they have the worst fries. Animal style extra crispy what ever. I would rate their fries as the worst compared to all the hamburger joints with a drive through. It's obviously personal taste, but my entire family took a bite and was like wtf. Didn't even finish them. Shakes are good. Burgers are average. I've tried the double double . Twice. Nice and greasy. Love how the tomato lettuce and onion were fresh. I just feel like something is missing. My family and I tried couple times. The service is great, shakes good, love how They give you a box like tray to eat in your vehicle. Almost got hit by two aggravated line sitters waiting to get to the order microphone and they got out of line to keep from waiting for a Cold Burger! It seems they came to town with a seasoned crew and they were fast and efficient and the burgers and fries were pretty good. Now they are gone and everything is gone and it's just another fast food factory. Cold food and cold drinks.
