Okay, where to start? Everything is positive! Thank you very much In-N-Out Burger, Napa for recognizing all Veterans on this Veterans Day, November 11, 2025! The burgers were the best, always cooked to perfection, delicious & crispy home-made fries, and a cold soda? What us not to love?!?!?! My daughter and I are both military veterans and the service we received was just perfection! We did not expect to be served at our dining table and were completely caught off guard when our food orders were brought to us. The service was far and beyond what we are normally used to, so thank you very much for the wonderful service and Veterans Day appreciation meals! The ambiance was perfect too, not too crowded either. We really appreciate our Napa In-N-Out Burger!

    A West Coast must!

Living on the East Coast, one of the first things I check when headed to California is if there's an In-N-Out nearby. Fortunately, there's one right in Napa! We went through the drive thru which was very organized. We all ordered doubles, animal style, which were fantastic! The strawberry shake was very good too! I'm not a big fry guy, but wouldn't recommend coming here for them. Service was very friendly. Right on!!

First off, it's in n out, so of course it'll have 5 stars! This review is specifically for Daniel. He held the door open for our party upon entering while he was on his way to clean up outside. While inside he stopped by to see how things were going and if we needed anything. When I approached the counter to ask for forks for my animal fries, he came up behind me to ask how he could help because no one was at the counter. I'm not complaining no one was at the counter, I'm trying to point out he's observant and helpful. I also noticed how incredibly helpful he was to his teammates. The most wonderful smile that never left his face. I love Daniel and am so happy he was hired.

It's a Sunday. I actually didn't know I was going to be in Napa again today. It feels good to be back in Napa. I'm not going to lie. I had an In-N-Out every other day for a few months. I'm here at the In-N-Out Burger on W Imola Ave., I seen it a lot of times going to Cinemark Century Napa Valley and XD or Target. There's nothing more All-American than a Cheeseburger. I had to do it again, but this time I got the infamous 4x4 Cheeseburger instead, and Animal Fries. I don't do this everyday, it been a very long time since I had a 4x4. And last time I had a Strawberry Milkshake like usual, but this time I went with the Chocolate Milkshake. The Chocolate Milkshake was so pleasant for a hot Summer day like this, the only thing is it was so thick that I needed a Spoon. And there's nothing quite like a California Classic Cheeseburger, their flavor is so distinct. After much reconsidering, I think the last time around at the end of the other year, I scored their Cheeseburger somewhat lower than it deserved. But since this time I got the monster Cheeseburger version, I would like to rescore it. I give this 4.4 stars out of 5 stars, and it's even better knowing I did it in Napa.

Very stale and old looking animal fries I got in my order

Service was great per usual but I just ordered through drive through about a hour ago and when I got home and opened my fries it looks like my fries had been sitting out the spread on them didn't look fresh it looked dark and my fries were burnt, also I asked for my protein style double double double lettuce wrapped and they only wrapped it once and forgot my whole grilled onion, usually I love this location but today they werent on their best game.

Double -double cheese burger. They even cut it in half for us!

We have eaten here many times in the last 6 months. Everything about it has been great. The quality of the food is fantastic and never varies. The employees and friendly, helpful, fast and hard working. It is always very clean.

    Black spots on my fries.

Great quality, friendly service, and indoor and outdoor seating. Ample napkins, ketchup available. Ambiance is clean and casual. Prices equate to upscale fast food.

I've seen them around I've had their garlic fries when I've had the craving but I've never really ordered anything else. This time I ordered the Vietnamese chicken salad and chili cheese fries on the side. My date ordered the California burger and sweet potato fries. When we got our food, my date said, she should have ordered the salad that looks so good. You know what? It was bomb! Super flavorful and refreshing. It made everything else taste bland or maybe it was bland, not the salad though. I would come back for the salad. The chili had no flavor, my date said her burger didn't have any flavor and she regretted choosing it. I don't normally like sweet potato fries but they were good from here.

We were looking for dessert - something not too sweet. And this was the perfect spot! We had a manzana empanada and a banana y dulce de leche empanada. Looking through their website, they also have a location at the Ferry Building and in SOMA. They can also be found at various Farmer's Markets around the Bay Area. I had no idea! They even have catering and delivery options via Uber Eats, Door Dash, or directly from El Porteno's themselves. This is a great business to patronize - unique and delicious. My usuals are their camarones (shrimp), the espinacas y panceta (spinach bacon and parmesan), and the champiñones (mushroom). The empanadas are served hot, flaky, and contain with a generous amount of filing. If they are out of a particular one at the window, just ask, they will bake a frozen one, which may take 5-7 minutes. I've also tried their carne and pollo empanadas which are also great but the three mentioned above are my favorites. I love that they put the empanadas in labeled sleeves so you actually know which is which! I've been to places that just stamp a letter on the crust, and half the time you can't even read it. This way is much easier especially when you're ordering a bunch of them like me. They are easy to eat on the go or grab a table at either end of Oxbow Market. Don't forget to get a side of their Chimmichuri sauce for $1.50. The sauce really completes the empanada! The staff is always friendly, helpful, and happy to make recommendations if you can't decide. You can't go wrong with any of them as I've tried them all the last few years.

TLDR: Best BBQ in Napa, hands down. Brisket and burnt ends…read moreare killer, mac n cheese surprised me, the owners are absolute gems, and the space is gorgeous. Cornbread and sauces missed the mark for me, but the meat more than made up for it. Definitely going back! The full story: Finally! A BBQ joint that knows how to season meat! Stateline Road Smokehouse in Napa is the spot. We rolled in on Mother's Day and got hit with a line almost out the door -- always a good sign! Turned out the wait wasn't bad though, because they've got a slick assembly line going. I watched the girl slicing my brisket right next to the order-taker, then just followed my tray as it moved down the line. The space is gorgeous -- big, bright, and airy, with clear garage doors and windows across the front and a domed ceiling overhead. We ordered the brisket, burnt ends, BBQ chicken, mac n cheese, and hot water cornbread. Plates come with their house-made pickles, onions, and peppers. They even have stuff for non-carnivores -- the Cherry Wood-smoked Maitake & Greens (maitake mushrooms, lettuce, heirloom rice, marinated garbanzo beans, lemon vinaigrette) and the 18th & Vine Grain Bowl (barley, quinoa, sweet potato, arugula, parsnip, saffron egg, pickled onion, burnt orange vinaigrette) both looked fantastic. Maybe I'll grab one next time -- right next to a pile of brisket! On the drink side they've got wines by the glass, boozy slushies, draft beer, and batch cocktails. We stuck with water this round. Prices were a notch above what I'm used to in Sacramento, but for Napa they felt totally fair -- especially since this is probably the best BBQ around. The brisket was a steal at $19 for a half pound. The chicken at the same price for a half bird felt a bit steep, but I could be off on what's normal up there. The brisket was seasoned beautifully from the very first bite -- smoked to perfection, fall-apart tender. No knife needed. The burnt ends were my favorite of the whole spread. They had a splash of sauce on them but it wasn't needed -- those rubs hold their own. The BBQ chicken had a totally different vibe -- hard to describe, but it gave off Asian-influenced flavors. Solid on its own, but pairing it with the brisket and burnt ends was a misfire. The flavors just didn't play nice together. The mac n cheese was great. It wasn't baked, but it also wasn't mushy or overcooked like most places -- the noodles still had bite and the cheese was flavorful. Sadly, the cornbread was the weak link. A little dry, kinda bland, and not as thick as I like. About the size of a thin 6" pancake -- not really worth the price. The other miss for me was the BBQ sauces. Just not my thing flavor-wise. To be fair though, the owner built his whole business on those sauces and apparently ships them out by the pallet, so plenty of people clearly love them! It was awesome seeing Darryl Bell, the owner, back in the kitchen working his magic -- and get this, he's reportedly the first Black restaurateur in Napa since the 1800s! That made the warm welcome hit even harder. Even with the rush going on, he popped out to snap a picture with us and thank us for coming in. His business partner Jeremy was also working the floor, checking in on every table, and he stuck around to talk us up about Darryl's BBQ skills and how their partnership came together. Then during a lull, Darryl came back out and gave us the whole tour -- the cultural and historical design choices throughout the space (the building used to be a Quonset hut, which explains that cool domed ceiling) plus the murals on the back patio. Dinner AND a show! Wishing these guys all the best. Can't wait to get back and work through more of the menu.
