We've lived at IMT for about two years, definitely an unstable time with all the construction/renovation here. That can be forgiven. The apartments are pretty good, definitely better than a lot of places downtown. What's been really making us regret living here is the constant noise at all hours of the day. It didn't used to be this way. When we got here, it was so quiet in the interior of the building, a shock for downtown living. Now it's loud, often obscene music, or loud daytime television all the time. I've repeatedly called the leasing office about it but nothing happens. Just last night you could hear a loud neighbor at 1 in the morning laughing about how they'd gotten a call about noise and don't care. That's the kind of courtesy you can expect here. This noise has severely impacted our standard of living here and we won't be renewing our lease. It's too bad the leasing office can't get this community under control to some basic sense of decency. read more

We moved from Maryland to Long Beach and it wouldn't been possible if it wasn't for Jake and the rest of the staff in the leasing office. We had so many things on our do to list and Jake helped my mother and I out tremendously. Every time we needed to update something on our files or if we were missing any signed documents Jake and his team worked diligently with us to make sure everything was perfect. We checked out IMT on our couches in Maryland and now today we are 2 happy residents living in IMT. read more

Awful, awful, awful. Corporate housing at its finest. We got out the moment our lease was up. Expect weekly piercing fire alarms, sometimes multiple times per day. Spotty wifi that goes out constantly. Loud sirens from the police and fire stations all hours of the day. And if you expect to get your deposit back, good luck. Front desk staff was nice, but ineffective in solving tenant concerns and would give a standard "apologies" email to the community on an almost daily basis for one reason or another. read more

If you are looking to live here don't!!!!! The place is not maintained well and has gone down hill terribly with new mgmt. If you need service or repairs, good luck. If you want to use the pool, don't expect patio furniture or the pool to always be clean. Don't expect the parking gates to work half the time. Don't expect the place to feel clean. They have put in new lights and fans in the units but left holes and marks that needed repair for months. The amount you pay is not worth it! This place has cockroaches and when they are schedule to come out after your place is torn up. They don't show. Cabinets empty, counters cleared, beds stripped, kitchen, bath, closets pilled and ready. Company cxl on a Fri at 12:30 and a friends place has to stay that way until Monday. Single mom, working and all she gets is sorry the guy left early. Unbelievable. Elevator was just fixed after being down 3 weeks on Chestnut side AGAIN. Run. Or light your money on fire. read more

So... we had our front door vandalized and items stolen. This week we noticed that someone stole our dog gate and also walked up to our front porch and stole flower pots and votives. management refuses to show us surveillance vids and share any information with us. In fact they were hostile and refused to give us information to file an insurance claim. We live in a 2 story walk up on the street. All of the apartments on this level are vulnerable and the management could care less about safety. Just read reviews about the fire alarms, broken garage gates, constantly open security doors allowing anyone to walk in off the street. read more

It's 2:30am and our teen son was driven from his bedroom by mice. We are now all 3 in one bed barricaded from the rodent takeover. fleeing to a hotel and will have to board our dog. Wondering who will pay? Really odd how the mice suddenly appeared after 5 years... Btw, we were asked not to be public with this issue. I'm disgusted and angry. I moved in mid July 2020 and it has been great living here so far. First off, I want to say I would have given this place 5 stars if it weren't for the internet. Unfortunately the internet company the apartment has (Consolidated Systems) is not the best and will randomly disconnect which gets annoying, but I can still manage to work from home full time due to the pandemic. You can also hear your upstairs neighbor's footsteps if they're heavy walkers. Otherwise, everything else is excellent. The apartments are modern and clean and enjoyable to live in. It's in a very walkable location in downtown Long Beach. The pool and outdoor areas are great, parking has never been an issue, and maintenance gets done very quickly. I'd like to highlight Kenia, she's very polite and professional and always gets maintenance donde promptly. She has always been able to fix any maintenance issues we've had. The office employees are very kind and responsive as well. Overall, I would recommend living here if prices aren't hiked up and if you're looking to live in DTLB. read more

This place will blow you away with its amenities and the cost of living but the consistent elevator issues and garage door problems make it extremely inconvenient. I came in today with my family as a walk-in. Jake Rybezyk gave us a tour and was excellent. He had us sold right away. He was very patient and understanding. Honestly we would have applied to live here but the parking space price is the most we've ever heard. No one downtown is over 70 a month. 150 is way too excessive especially when structures are around the complex with cheaper monthly passes. It gave us a bad taste about the complex. The over apartment was nice and amentites were great but after all their add-ons we were looking at an extra 400 a month. We had to pass. read more

Still here...still sucks. Two amenity rooms have been out of commission for months. I'm curious as to what they tell prospective residents touring the facility. The pool lounge chairs were reduced down to FIVE, yes five, at the start of summer and have yet to be replaced. What does it take to order these...it's called Costco. The weather is steady in the 80s, everyone heads to the pool on the weekends and we're reduced to laying a towel on the hot cement. I'm not sure what is "luxury" about this. At least update your website listings for amenities and the pictures of the pool area because you won't get it! read more

Jake was very responsive and helpful from us first touring the home to giving us our pair of keys to our first apartment(: The entire process was smooth and easy because of Jake. I've been living here for almost a year and I love it. The Apartments are modern and the maintenance crew is awesome. They are super fast and friendly when you need any repairs done. It is pet friendly and for most that's a must. The staff has been great, they are quick to any answer any questions or concerns. Gilbert was great working with and I thank him for helping me with a personal matter recently. I would definitely recommend seeing Gilbert, he is so good at taking the time to explain everything! read more

But the UPDATE is - this company couldn't care less about its residents. In addition to my original review: Bike stripped - no response to email, squatter in gym - two weeks later management responds and says unfortunately they can't prevent that, car broken into in secure parking - management says nothing to me even after being subpoenaed to court, roof leaks for over two weeks - management does not respond to emails, Jeff the service manager has lied to my face twice now on repairs, amenity rooms still out of order, 4 of 6 bbq grills broken (one with no handle), wifi removed from pool area, no chairs at pool, hot tub still NASTY......more fake reviews from IMT employees popping up..... We were quite excited to make the move after seeing the beautiful pictures provided from the IMT Gallery's website. Kudos to the marketing team, they did a good job there. The staff's interaction was on spot! Thank you Jenniefer, Kenneth and Adehrra for the experience, support and presentation. There were a couple of minor items that needed attention, their maintenance team promptly taken care of it by the time we got home the following day leaving notes. Currently, my recommended feedback is: maintaining the image, services and quality of the amenities on the premises that you provide. Your new tenants are expecting what is shown and presented to be in the best working conditions (to be "WOWed"), I could provide a list but it is not appropriate here. I would assume the parking situation would remedy in time.... On a service level from the management side of the business; I would also suggest trying to make best efforts to address these concerns that the tenants have as they "air out" their problems. Majority of them are quite accurate and none the less, they should be contacted about their/tenant issues (which they haven't). Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback and occupying us on your grounds, we look forward to a great year living here and making memories! I moved into Gallery 421 when it was still under management of Lyon Living and let me tell you, it was amazing! The amenities were open 24 hours (minus the pool), we had free guest parking, local food truck nights, yoga instructors, and even community parties. The entire community was so supportive and everyone seemed pretty happy here. Then IMT took over and everything here just fell to shit. No more free guest parking, no more community parties, no more food truck nights, amenities all close at 10pm, the staff they employed was negligent (minus the maintenance staff that was originally from Lyon Living, they're great), maintenance requests don't get answered, packages get stolen, fire alarms are ALWAYS going off...etc. It's honestly really sad how fast IMT turned such a beautiful building and community to shit within a few months of owning this building. This place is not even worth living in anymore, I've seen more people move out of this building in the past 6 months than I have seen moving in. In fact, the 5 surrounding apartments to my spot are all empty, I watched more people move out yesterday. IMT ruined this building. Whatever you do, don't move in here. They are building plenty of beautiful apartments in downtown Long Beach, look there instead. I know I'm looking to move as well. Do yourself a favor, avoid any IMT building at all cost. They don't care at all about their residents. IMT will never be like Lyon Living, not even close. Also, if you're from IMT and want to try and justify why you suck and try to answer this, just don't. There's no justifying how shitty of a company you are, you guys just suck, period. Sidenote, how can y'all say you really care when every response you give back to people on here seems copy and pasted with slight altering.... once again, another prime example of how they don't really care about their residents. We moved in July 2018. We really liked this place at first but there are certain things we don't like that are taking place. First off there is a bug problem. We are very clean and we've had roaches come in from somewhere. We did the pest control treatment a few months after moving in, which involves removing everything from the kitchen and bathrooms (took about 3 hours) and still we see roaches every so often. Another recent development is that someone new moved in above us. Before we couldn't hear our upstairs neighbors too much but now we hear everything. It turns out that they are remodeling the apartments and now there are hardwood floors throughout the whole apartment. Looks nice but the problem is that now we can hear footsteps and so much more that we didn't hear before. Over time when all the apartments are like this I imagine there will be more complaints about noise. The staff is very friendly and I do appreciate my interactions with them as they seem genuine about doing a good job. There has been some mistakes but no one's perfect. Oh and the fire alarms do go off a lot. Not sure why they go off so much but it has gotten better since we've been here in that regard, so at least there's progress. All in all it's not a bad place to live. Not the best but not the worst. Hopefully things will get better over time. read more

Just going to state some quick facts. The original mgmt (LYONS) was great never had a problem, then gallery 421 was taking over by (IMT), since then things have quickly gone downhill. PRO'S: *Great maintenance staff (who were retained from the Lyons era). CON'S: *there is now dog poop, and urination every other day on the 2nd and 1st floor of the complex. New tenants are not cleaning up after themselves. *ALL pool hall sticks are damaged beyond repair. Management refuses to invest in new ones. *Next, Guest parking is no longer Comp'd (free/validated). This was one of the main reasons I moved into this place, now that has been taking away. *There are no more food trucks. * They fire alarms consistently goes off. Literally on 2/4/19 at night the alarms went off. Take in mind these alarms are very loud. *Amenities now close @ 10pm. (There was a tenant who had a family sleep-over in one of the amenity rooms this pass weekend for the SuperBowl) the amenities are 1st come 1st serve which is fine, but no one should be allowed to camp out over night to reserve a room smh. (The Manager) was in the process of siding with the campers saying they were attempting to reserve the amenity, and he was in the process of going to potentially kick us out [Only to find out that we had already left] out of that room. Take in mind these overnight campers were nowhere to be found that day between the 8am-11:30am. In addition when I arrived in the morning there was Popcorn all over the floor, food in and on the couches, trash everywhere, and a cover on the couch. Yet nobody was in the room, (sounds kind of strange). *The reason I list the above is because there has been in recent months NON-RESIDENTS sleeping over-night in random Amenity rooms. *The few damage equipment need to either be replace or removed from the Gym. *No more YOGA instructor. *The down button on the elevator does not or rarely works, you have to hold it for at least 2mins (seriously) *They just change the lighting in everyone's unit but after they patched up the holes from the original lighting you can still see the Big holes (do they plan to paint over this and make it look consistent with the rest of the ceiling?) Conclusion: Because of the above listed changes this may not be the place where I would want to stay, and will be a huge factor in determining if I am to renew my lease or not. There are new developments in the area that look beautiful and I may just take a tour and sign lease with the new apartments if things do not rapidly change here at the IMT Gallery 421. The other reviews both from the negative's to the positive reviews are accurate. read more
