Although many tire shops came up in my search, one company stood out to me -- that wasn't even a dedicated tire shop. It was Wilhelm Automotive. The reason they stood out to me was because of the glowing reviews from customers, like myself, who have limited knowledge surrounding auto-repair needs... or knowing who to trust! (Especially for those of us who tend to feel intimidated by auto-repair shops that have been dishonest, are all about 'up-selling' services & parts you don't actually need and/or those who are 'shady' at best. I was also surprised to see an auto repair shop that came up on a tire shop search. But right at the top of their reviews, there was a review surrounding Wilhelm providing excellent service that involved tires/tire fixes and replacement. After filling the tire up with air, I noticed a nail with a slow leak, and since they were so close, I drove out their way. I just have to say that deciding to go to Wilhelm Automotive when I was having an issue with my tire was the best decision I could have ever made. Not only did they fix my flat tire, they also looked at and fixed another tire that I had been having issues with. No shop in Los Angeles would fix it for me, insisting that I needed to purchase a brand new tire (which actually meant buying two new tires because of the all-wheel drive situation on my 2015 Subaru Outback). Even from the exact tire shop that I had originally ~ and recently~ bought 4 brand new tires from!!! Wilhelm Automotive fixed both tires no problem and with none of the issues I was repeatedly told there would be, by multiple shops I had asked to. (I was a bit shocked, and when I asked how they ended up fixing it... with a patch or plug? I was told that they did a combination of both to ensure that the tire is solidly and permanently fixed, is completely safe and 'as good as new')!! They also had my passenger side windshield wiper blade in stock (that I had asked about as well) and replaced it for me after fixing my tires. When I went up to the counter to pay my bill after my car was brought out for me (only 40 mins later, I was told 'you're good to go! we're good! just please consider using us for any other car repairs that might come up')! I could t believe it!! I was in total shock... they wouldn't even let me pay for the wiper blade and I pretty much had to force them to, at very least, take a tip from me!!! I was ~delightfully~ in shock the rest of the day. I have made my folks (& their friends & neighbors) promise me to ONLY go to Wilhelm Auto from here on out!! I'm sorry to report that this review is {finally} here ~ so long after-the-fact, but life as a hard-working single Mom has a way of coming in between such things. But exceptional, honest, professional and CARING service is never out of fashion -- nor is a review for it!! ********************************** It's incredibly rare to find an auto repair shop these days that encompasses all of these and more!! Initially tier 3 tires were put on. Upon posting my initial review resulting in 2 stars, the staff worked with me to change to tier 2 tiers at no additional cost. Happy again with Wilhelm; I have used since moving to Goodyear in 2019.

The front suspension of my old Sonata had been making a variety of noises for a while; I took it to this Brakes Plus (Indian School and Jackrabbit) to have it checked out. They determined the problems were control arms and ball joints. They expeditiously repaired these, and so now -- no more squeaky front end noises! Yes! Silence is golden, right? I've been patronizing Brakes Plus and this particular location for a number of years because (1) the parts and labor charges are always reasonable (2) they apprise me of other issues I need to be aware of without any pushy up-sale techniques, and (3) everyone I've encountered at this business falls in the category of "good people". Specific kudos going from me to Rose and David, who always take good care of me in ways like offering coupon discounts without my even asking and ensuring warranties on parts are honored -- again without my asking. Always pleasant and considerate, these two. So, bottom line don't hesitate to take your vehicle to these folks to have issues diagnosed and repaired. They work on a lot more stuff than just brakes, so give them a call to see if they handle whatever repair you're looking for. My last review I remarked I'd give them a 5 star review if the rate on oil changes were more competitive, and I found that their rates are actually quite competitive, especially when you use the coupon discount you can find by going to their website. No complaints here!

I checked in Wed morning and was told they would look at it. All info about the car was provided. They called that afternoon and said their technician was out and will look at it Thursday morning. Friday morning they called and said they don't work on hybrids! So now I have lost 2+ days without a car. So if they can't do the work then don't waste my time! I won't make this mistake again!

I brought my car into Brakes Plus and was greeted by Mark, who was very welcoming and professional from the start. Originally I was quoted for one issue, but after taking a deeper look they found out the problem was actually bigger and that the compressor needed to be replaced. Even though it turned out to be a larger repair than expected, the team did a great job explaining everything clearly and keeping me informed. When I came back to pick up my car, Mark happened to be out of the office, but David stepped in and took great care of me. Both of them were exceptional and made sure the whole process went smoothly. The communication throughout the entire experience was excellent, and the mechanics clearly knew what they were doing. My AC is now blowing colder than it ever has before and the car feels great. Big shout out to David and Mark for going above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I'll definitely be coming back here in the future.
