I bought a 2001 sunfire from ravenna auto sales for $2,400. Four days later I had to have it towed…read moreaway. The mechanic told me that the headlights were redone by someone that didnt know what they were doing and they werent grounded so the battery was pumping power to the headlights even when the car was off and that it could catch on fire. Later I come to find out that the head gasket was blown and the head needed to be machined, along with a long list of things that needed done and things that are about to go. In the first two months of owning the car i had to put $1,600 dollars into it to make it drivable and it still needs another $300.00 worth of work done to it. Today I took my reciept for the work I had gotten done on the car and told him I felt like he sold me a lemon and he offered to buy the car back for what I had paid for it . He also told me that no one had looked over the car prior to me purchasing the car from him, all they do is vacumme the car out and sell it. but then what? Im out the $1,600 I put into it and he gets a good running car? Nope Im sorry I am a Customer, Not a mechanic. I asked him if he knew what Yelp was and he didnt answer me. Update: they gave me $500.00 to shut me up... better then nothing considering I had no warranty on the vehicle...

They told me not to worry that if I keep up with my payment in one year I can call back and get my car refinanced at at a lower rate. One year later I called them back spoke with them about being interested in getting my car refinance. They told me that they would call me back and I never did. I called several times and they gave me the runaround and finally someone said they don't me finance cars there. Finally got irritated and called to get the status and was told that many many people in the shop drove our vehicle (ran all the gas, mileage etc...) and couldn't determine anything wrong. Brought our vehicle home and continued to drive it, and now two days before our planned trip (the reason we bought this particular vehicle) and the thing damn near breaks down on the way to work. Our vacation may be shot, we're paying on a shit car at a shit dealership that won't stick by their word and fix what's wrong. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR GO BACK.

Almost every single car needed so much work that it wasn't worth anywhere near what this dealership was asking. The few cars they had that I was interested in all had flat tires, loads of rust, broken headlights, windshields,etc... and no information posted on the windows. Although the strictly used cars here are more in the average persons price range, they are as cheap as they are for a reason. Trust me, if they are willing to allow such trash on their lot prior to fixing it up I can't imagine how much money you would have to shell out to fix the vehicle once you purchase it. I eventually came back a month or two ago in hopes that maybe the Tiburon hadn't been fixed yet due to the bad weather or lack of parts... again, I left even more defeated than before. I realize that they don't make this type of car anymore & that they are incredibly difficult to come by but when I opened the door the stereo was missing, there were cigarette holes in the roof, seats and floor. The back lock for the trunk was missing, there was a lot of rust, all four tires were flat, broken headlights yet they had the nerve to ask over $1,000! Only an idiot would shop here! Even so, not one sales associate even came out to say hello & you can't park in their lot!!! If you don't park across the street you will never be able to get out without hitting one of their vehicles or oncoming traffic. Places like this are just shady and very questionable; again you are better off passing this dealership by.

"Caveat Emptor" Went to Fix-It with Fred for a needed oil change and the air conditioner was…read moreblowing warm air. Dropped the car off told them the problems and mentioned, when braking, the car pulled a little to the left. Later they called with a diagnostic fee which seemed a little high but wanted it fixed. Someone called back the next day told me they had changed the oil and recharged the air conditioning and found leaks at both Schrader valves which they replaced (part of the diagnostic fee I imagine) and I needed $2000 worth of brake work, (front pads and rotors, rear shoes and drums, front calipers, BG brake system service). My response was, "that is a third of what the car was worth, put it back together and the car will be picked up. A total of $2875.81 of work and parts were declined by me. " Just to be on the safe side, two weeks later the same vehicle was taken to another auto repair shop to have the brakes checked, their receipt says "Inspect brakes, approximately 50% -OK". The brakes are working fine. There is probably a large gap as to what is needed for vehicle repairs and what the manufacturers suggests and how much money you have.
