The mechanic told me that the headlights were redone by someone that didnt know what they were doing and they werent grounded so the battery was pumping power to the headlights even when the car was off and that it could catch on fire. Later I come to find out that the head gasket was blown and the head needed to be machined, along with a long list of things that needed done and things that are about to go. In the first two months of owning the car i had to put $1,600 dollars into it to make it drivable and it still needs another $300.00 worth of work done to it. Today I took my reciept for the work I had gotten done on the car and told him I felt like he sold me a lemon and he offered to buy the car back for what I had paid for it . He also told me that no one had looked over the car prior to me purchasing the car from him, all they do is vacumme the car out and sell it. but then what? I have taken my cars to Fred for over 20 years. I drove my 2006 Elantra to 304,000 miles, mainly because Fred maintained it for most of its life. My 2023 Elantra has 50k on it and was recently serviced by Fred. I had a fuel induction/injector cleaning service (I think that is what it is called lol) and the car is running as good as the day it was brand new. I highly recommend Fred and his crew.
