We agreed on a price and while on our property agreed to additional work for X amount of dollars. He couldn't finish the work and was suppose to come back the next day but left his workers at our home until well passed 6 after nearly 10 hours of working. He rang our door bell and begged for some cash. He was all worked up about needing money to fix his truck. In the mean time he left his big work truck in the backyard as a show of faith that he would be back which he did. Well my husband the kind man he was decided to pay him in full because the man cried wolf and promised us he would be back to finish cutting the other tree because he has to rush to another job. Well he never came back! We have left numerous of messages and he keeps saying he's busy but in the mean time took on a new job that we referred him to (did that before knowing how crappy of a business owner he was). Also they did not do a good job cleaning up the yard of debris, didn't follow direction regarding placement of wood logs. All in all he took our money and never returned...yes shame on us for paying him in full but shame on him for taking advantage if our kindness. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!!

The were professional, through, and quite considerate throughout the day. The fee was reasonable but the service was better! Leo led the large team of men on the project. They carefully removed the trees that were about 50' tall and did not harm the fence, neighbors yard or anything else. They also removed several 50 year old junipers and a few other smaller trees. They trimmed a few others and in the end went out of their way to make sure her yard was clean and tidy. Actually they even went in the neighbors yard and cleaned there as well. Excellent service and follow through. The quoted price was not changed and the boss came by in the beginning and the end to make sure everything we discussed was done to our satisfaction. I would recommend Ryan, Leo and the crew to anyone looking for this kind of work.

I submitted those and Adam Jensen (the original person I had liked so much, now promoted to district overseer) came to see us to make it right. Adam explained why the tree was shaped as it was this time, because of the type of tree it is. That was helpful and I better understand their thinking. I no longer feel the tree was pruned improperly. I appreciate the gesture in his visit; there was an offer of a free treatment for the tree, as recompense along with a quote of $1,320 for potential additional services. It's not that any of this latest is bad. Davey made an effort, but it didn't have the feel of a genuine apology - which in the end is what this human wanted - to be heard and feel valued as a repeat customer. The "internal review" according to Adam had some he said/she said components. I realize perception is at play here, but you'll note I didn't blame, motive read, name call or label anyone (okay, there was the Keystone Cops reference). I told a story of what did and didn't happen. So the he said/she said response felt crummy. I didn't make anything up, paid promptly, and gave opportunities to converse fruitfully before reviewing poorly. I declined the offer of the free service and the additional proposal. I didn't want to indicate that my future business is a lock by accepting. Truthfully, I'm not sure where I am with them.

We had 5 very large stumps (and their roots) that needed to be removed on a multi-tiered rear yard. Right off the bat the communication and responsiveness was great with Bay Area Stump Busters. Steve gave us a fair estimate with a comprehensive explanation of the scope of work. On top of that, he was able to start the next week. After the job was done we walked the area and I paid him. What impressed me is that even though he was already paid, he came back 2 weeks later to remove more roots that weren't visible (until I removed the mulch). Now that's standing behind your work!
