The boat noodles and mango sticky rice were both delicious. The broth of the boat noodles was really flavorful. The mango sticky rice had the perfect ratio of mango, rice, and coconut sauce. The service wasn't the best today though. I had to notice there was a separate dessert menu and ask for it myself. The employee was also a bit persistent about seating me at a smaller table under direct sunlight. I get it, since I was just one person, but being in direct sunlight was also quite uncomfortable.
Such a cute place to stop by at. Service was great we got seated immediately and we order two dishes and a drink. We got the pad Thai with shrimp which was one of the better pad Thais I've had in my life. I hate when the noodles are super soggy and fall apart and this wasn't an issue here. The panang curry was delicious light and so flavorful definitely recommend. The Thai iced tea I would've loved for it to be sweeter but it had a very strong tea taste which was great. Check this place out the only thing that gave me a little notch down was portion size and that there were many small charges depending on the meat I wish it was just a set price or listed on menu.
Stopped in sunday evening for dinner and were sat right away on the patio. Our waitress was super attentive and quick to see if we needed anything throughout our time there. Got a few apps - the vegetable egg rolls were crispy, the cucumber salad had a good bite, and the Larb salad was fresh and a great portion though a bit too much fish sauce for my personal liking (though my parents both really liked it!). I had Pad See Eiw with chicken and broccoli and it was large enough for at least another meals worth of leftovers! Really fresh food at good prices - would visit again!

The restaurant is called Immm, which means "full" in Thai, but ironically the portions are so small that you definitely won't leave feeling immm. The food itself is delicious and full of flavor, but the portion sizes are quite disappointing, especially for the price. If they increased the portions, the overall dining experience would be much better.
Wow this place was so yummy, super fresh and bright beef drunken noodles, would definitely get them again. Loved the lil coconut rice puddings. The chicken spring rolls were good but miss-able. Can't wait to come back. Excellent service and very cute vibes (lots of pics of the food which was helpful)
This place is right in the heart or Arglye and has such good Thai food. Loved their papaya salad and chow fun noodles. The tiger cry was crispy and full of flavor. The service was great here and the ambiance inside was really nice. Especially during the summer you can sit by the window which is open to the sidewalk. Will definitely be back soon.
Best thai food Chicago! The service is fast and food is served quickly. The space is comfortable to dine in as well. Parking needs to be paid parking however on the street. My favorite item to order is their crispy chicken skin and Khao soi. They both have the perfect crunch to it and the portion is good. I always have extras to take home.

Had a great experience at Imm Rice and Beyond! I got the Bamee Mhoo Dang Hang with the shrimp wontons added on, and it was a flavorful, satisfying meal. I'm really glad I added the shrimp wontons as they were delicious and complemented the dish perfectly. The service was excellent and attentive throughout. Solid spot for authentic Thai flavors. Would definitely come back!
You get friendly service, for sure, as it is obvious that the workers there enjoy their job. The interior decor is very catchy, even cute. Restrooms are what you'd expect at an Asian restaurant, but not bad. But we go to a restaurant to eat good, flavorful food, right? It was quite ordinary, to be honest; nothing to match the trendiness of the interior environment. I'm willing to give any place a second chance. So, maybe we will do just that!
A nice, warm restaurant with a variety of authentic dishes. We got the chicken satay, gaeng kiew whan with tofu, and pad prik khing with chicken. The chicken satay with peanut sauce was really good and was a nice starter. The gaeng kiew whan was flavorful and somewhat spicy. There was a good amount of tofu, but I felt like there should have been more than just bamboo shoots in the curry. The pad prik khing was also tasty and pretty spicy. The green beans were a generous portion, but it would've been nice to have more chicken too. Chose the kao tom madt for dessert and it was actually really enjoyable. You wouldn't think beans would work with dessert, but they gave it a nice texture.

One of the more packed restaurants in the area, which definitely made me want to give it a try. I did have to put my name on the waitlist, and it took about 30 minutes before they called me when a spot opened up. Overall, my dish was good, and I really liked that it had a lot of vegetables. I'm not sure how much it stands out compared to the other options in the area, but it was nice to see that they have a small bar inside. It seems like there aren't many places around here where you can just sit down and enjoy a cocktail, so that's a nice option if you're looking for a drink rather than a full meal. read more
Really great food! It was pretty warm but it was a hot day. I ordered the tea, drunken noodles, and some mango sticky rice. The rice has pandan added to it, so it comes out green and a bit sweeter. Personally i would have liked some more of the cream sauce though, but it was still very delicious. The drunken noodles were great and for a dollar more they add a meat. I didnt know it was another 2 on top of that to add more chicken though but it was a decent amount regardless. Kinda wished i hadnt gotten the extra so i could see how much it normally has. Service was quick and they kept checking up on us. I'd go again if im in the area! read more

I found 2 pieces of string inside the rice and for some reason the rice was salty. The mangoes had so much fiber I couldn't even chew it. If the mangoes aren't in season, this shouldn't be on the menu. read more
I had a very nice ladies lunch here. Cabana vibes, with the front of the cafe able to open up to the street. Lots of sun, creative cocktails, and more delicious sounding menu items than I had room for, may need a return visit. That said, this street is bustling with options and shops, cafes so how do you pick just one place? It stood out to me that with so many competitors, Immm was jumping! Very good sign. I had a Thai iced tea (sweet burnt orange colored tea, a personal favorite!! Always get excited when they're on the menu) and I was looking for a light, veggie forward option and bet on the ginger chicken. My friends both got the Panang Curry, it had a notable butteriness to it that you don't find often and, hot damn, it was spicy for this group of white chicks! Not sure how that translates for other heat seekers though. read more
The market got rained out so we wanted to grab a bite to eat. We came across this cute little spot and the colorful art and lively vibe lured us in. We were seated very quickly despite how busy it appeared. I recommend ordering 2-3 entrees to share amongst the table, depending on how many are seated. There were only two of us and 2 plates + a starter was a perfect amount of food. Thai tea was delicious. Perfect amount of sweet with that authentic tea flavor. The chicken kabob was a little dry, but better with the peanut sauce (which has a HEAVY peanut flavor, so take that as you will). I wish it came with more cucumber salad! We also ordered the Thai style fried chicken legs. The flavor was delicious but there was a lot of bone to eat around, and not a ton of meat on each one. The deep fried wontons are delicious and I highly suggest getting at least one order of those. Service was fairly quick (for how busy it was) and friendly, and we were in and out in no time. read more

Food selections were great and tasty. Crispy when it has to be, fresh vegges. We have misgivings on the service as we placed our orders appropriately but some delivered incorrectly or arrived late or we had to remind them. We were there around 11am so pretty early. The shop wasn't particularly busy, it was half full so maybe something else was making the kitchen occupied. read more
Chicago has no shortage of Thai restaurants but I've been to Immm far more times than any of the others. Everything is good here but I'll highlight 2 dishes that I get almost every time, which I believe are better than anywhere else I've had: Som Tum Thai and Pad See Eiw. The Tum Thai (papaya salad) is the perfect combination of sour, sweet, and spicy (3 chilis is just right for me) and the papayas they use always taste fresh. The Pad See Eiw doesn't solely rely on sugar unlike some other restaurants; it has a nice umami to it and you can really taste the smokiness from the wok. You can request it spicy but I personally like it not spicy (one of the few Thai dishes I would say that for). Honorable mention to these dishes, which are also spectacular: Pad Thai, Khao Soi, Khao Pad. They make it into my rotation a fair amount as well! If you're remotely near Argyle or Uptown, do yourself a favor and dine at Immm. The food is delicious, the servers are friendly, and the vibes are great (they've invested a lot into remodeling the place in recent years and it shows). Bon appetit! read more

Our oldest lives in the "Little Vietnam neighborhood" and has been wanting to try this place so we popped in after the night market for a bev and a bite. Cute & cozy, the hanging lights add a lot of atmosphere with seating inside and out. The service is good and prompt and they will work with you to make sure your order gets in before the kitchen closes. I have to say that mango sticky rice is a thing, SO good. read more

Went before a show at Aragon ballroom. Cute, smaller inside with a bar and a good amount of tables. Wait staff were all very nice. The pad see eiw was phenomenal. Very flavorful. Would go back for that. Ginger chicken was also very good. I loved the slices of ginger for an extra ginger-y taste. Great price for yummy food. I heard from a friend they also have great martinis. I also saw quite a few pickup orders so that's definitely in my future too! read more

I'm sad to see that this place has changed from the authentic Thai place I first tried in 2017 to a shell of itself. Khao mun gai $15 - Disappointed by the rice. The rice didn't seem like it was cooked in the rendered fat and flavor of the chicken and was not tasty. Bamee moo dang $14.50 - Once my favorite dish, it was bland and soggy. We started off with the papaya salad and the fried chicken and both were very good and were a good portion size for 4 people to share. I had the Khao soi with beef. The flavors were very good and didn't need the hot chili sauce that came with it. Everyone else enjoyed their dishes they ordered, the pad see ewe and the crispy pork belly. We all had leftovers to go which I had for dinner! I want to come back and try the other dishes. Service is great and I recommend making a reservation. read more

After walking by Immm a million times, I'm glad I finally tried it! The restaurant is absolutely adorable, from the paper lantern lighting to the mural on the back wall, it was a super cozy setting. The food was delicious and I found it authentic. My favorite dish was the noodles and soup with beef and sausage - the broth was really flavorful and the sausage was salty, yet slightly sweet. I thought the Penang curry had great flavor but wish it was slightly spicier. Also loved the tom kha with shrimp, but also wish that the spice level was customizable. Only reason this wasn't a full five stars was because we were charged extra for rice, despite the menu saying that we could pick a carb. Regardless, will be back! read more

one of my go-to restaurant in Argyle! I've been coming here for years now, and it's great every single time! Food is delicious, the drinks (both teas and alcohol) are great, staff is super duper friendly and lovely, and the vibes are ALWAYS immaculate, whether it's in the daytime with lots of light coming from the big windows or at night with the gorgeous moody lighting. a true staple for me and my friend, we love this place so much. read more
I live within walking distance of this place but never really noticed it because of my disdain for the restaurant that is right next to it. But recently I went in on an early afternoon to check out their food because I wanted to support local business and I hadn't eaten anything all day Was greeted by the host/waitress and she was very helpful and pleasant the whole time I was there. I really don't know much about Thai cuisine so her patience and recommendations were very welcomed because otherwise I would have been flying blind I got the lunch special where I got to select three items for around $12. I'm usually not a ginger fan but I decided to get out of my comfort zone and get the Ginger Chicken with White Rice. Not gonna lie, it took some getting used to it because of my previous experiences with ginger but the dish was cooked well, the flavors were abundant and I actually enjoyed it. The Mhoo Whan was my favorite offering of the meal as it is deliciously prepared, carmelized pork belly so you can't go wrong. The Panang Curry (with chicken) was recommended by the waitress and it didn't disappoint at all. I'm usually not a fan of curry dishes but the rich and creamy was a perfect compliment to the rest of the food I was enjoying The waitress also recommended I tried their beer after I was kind of lost on their extensive drink menu and she was spot on in her decision. Easily drinkable light lager style beer was a great pairing with the food. All the food and drink cost under $30 (with tip) The restaurant had very few patrons at the time I was there as the place just opened so I can't give a full review of the overall dining experience but I'm sure that when this place is busy the atmosphere is exactly what I like as a diner. Great food, service, price and quality ambiance make this place a spot that I will be returning to read more
i attended an awesome free dinner event here hosted by haibayo and immm ! the dinner event was so very incredible we got to experience an authentic northern thai dinner for thai new years and it was so so fun! the workers there are passionate and friendly and i felt very lucky to able to experience such a cute community event. thank you!!! look how cute the menu is. read more

It has been sometime since we dined on Thai food. I always loved eating Thai dishes. While walking around Armitage, we felt a bit hungry. We decided to go to Immm Rice and Beyond. What a terrific choice! I ordered the Pad Khee Mao. It came with mung beans, chopped broccoli, sliced carrots, some green peppers, flat noodles, peppercorns and mild spice. It tasted divine. I enjoyed every morsel. Joseph requested the beef salad. He said it tasted fine. We did not have to wait long for our food. The servers deserved an A+ for their service. Upon ordering, our server asked if it would be fine if the chefs were to use peppercorns in my food as I requested the food to not be that spicy. I said of course. That in itself deserved 5 stars. I describe the atmosphere and ambiance as being relaxed and tranquil. The outdoor dining space added to the dining experience. As people took advantage of the summer weather while eating the delicious food. Highly recommend Immm Rice and Beyond. Bring friends, family or even a date. read more

You can get really spicy at Immm also Sticky Rice and Aroi Thai. Not your usual commercial Thai food/menus in these places but Northern Thai food (Isaan province)
