here's my pup 3 days after his recent visit with Imelda

Hands down my favorite groomers in SJ. My dog is comfortable with them and I fully trust them. Imelda nailed down the haircut for my dog. -- Imelda is really skilled and pays close attention to detail. Love them.

Two dogs who just got groomed.

These groomers know their stuff. My dogs actually enjoy going to them. Other groomers scare them. They have a way with dogs. No complaints except sometimes they trim the bushy tails too close. I like the flare, but as long as my furry friends are happy. I am happy. They enjoy going here. I highly recommend them. You just need to be sure to tell them how short or long g you want your trims.

We found Imelda's though a referral on Nextdoor. We made an appointment and took our Gus in to be groomed. I'm so impressed with how well they took care of our Gus. The owners's are super nice and I could tell from the moment we walked in that Gus will be in great hands. Their facility is spacious and clean and you can tell they take great pride in their work. I picked up Gus and he looked great!! Such a great experience and will go back again!!

I can not say enough great things about Imelda's at Almaden. I was out walking my dog Willow after most Covid stuff was relaxed and found them. I was so excited.Willow is so happy going to get her spa treatment "aka bath and haircut) there her tail starts wagging as we enter the parking lot. So happy to have found this amazing gem.

My beautiful Piper!

Imelda and Gonzalo do incredible job grooming my Aussie! They pay special attention to her undercoat which they trim by hand! Piper looks beautiful!

A lot of personal care and thought is always put into the grooming of my 13 lb dog, even through the pandemic.

If I can give it a negative 5 star I would…read more I am absolutely HORRIFIED by what happened to my dog, Harry, during his mobile grooming appointment. This is not simply about a groomer accidentally nicking a dog and forgetting to tell the owner. Harry came back with TWO separate areas where his hair is missing and the skin underneath is raw, injured, and BLEEDING. When I separated his fur and saw what was underneath, my heart dropped. As his mom, my first thought was: What happened to my dog inside that van? How ROUGH does grooming have to be for a dog to come back with his hair missing, raw skin, and bleeding wounds? Looking at these injuries honestly makes me feel sick. It looks like his skin and coat went through significant trauma. I cannot know exactly what happened because I wasn't inside the grooming van, and Harry obviously cannot tell me. But I know what he looked like before his appointment, and I know what he looked like afterward. Grooming should NEVER leave a dog looking like this. And on top of everything, the groomer handed Harry back to us without saying a single word about either injury. Nothing about irritation. Nothing about bleeding. Nothing about an accident. Nothing. Harry is not an object being washed and brushed. He is a living animal who feels pain and fear. HE IS MY BABY! I trusted this company to handle him gently and safely when I couldn't be there to protect him. Seeing him come back to me like this makes me incredibly angry, but more than anything, it breaks my heart. He cannot speak for himself, so I will speak for him. I am posting the photos because other dog owners deserve to see exactly what Harry looked like after this grooming appointment and make their own decision about whom they trust with their pets. Whatever happened during this appointment was completely unacceptable to me. I will never allow this company to touch Harry again.
