We recently took our pup to get her nails trimmed. She was very nervous so I was worried about how she would do. The staff at Doggie Stylezz were extremely supportive and friendly and you could tell they have dealt with nervous dogs before. The nail trim was super quick, thank goodness, and even included filing to make sure the sharp edges were smooth. The girl who trimmed the nails was relaxed and gentle, which did a lot to bring my own stress level down. My dog was not hurt during the process, which was my greatest fear. We were walk-ins and they took us right away. I was allowed to pick my pup up and take her into the back and hold her during the nail trim because she was so anxious and trying to get away. Its rare I write a bad review, I usually give companies the benefit of the doubt and go somewhere else but this was such ourtageious incompetence I can't do that here. I called to get my doodle and my Welsh Terrier an appointment. I was clear over the phone she was a unique breed that had to be hand stripped. They said they can do it (I had set an appointment with another breeder before, they actually called back the next day and said they don't do that and canceled my appointment which is very professional) When I dropped my dogs off I mentioned again that she had to be hand stripped and they said they would. Whats the big deal? My 8 month old puppy will NEVER get its coat back. It is permanent damage to her that will NEVER recover. See this ai breakdown for details" A good groomer who know anything about anything would see the dog or hear the breed and warn me not to shave them, why the heck am I the one warning the freaking experts and them not warning me?! I called about a half hour before they closed that day and politely complained about the situation, for some reason the lady who anwsered was driving and said the manager would get back to me which they never did so I gave them a chance to try to at least apoligize or make it up to me. That would be a tough ask though because the damage is permanant. If god came down and said give me $5000 and I will undo the damage Doggie Stylezz did I would say yes in a heartbeat as shes got to live 10-15 years like this. I'll get over it and she'll live but its going to be a regular frustration for years to come. Post note, they did a decent job on her and a poor job on my doodle, I, going to have to spend about 20 minutes with my clippers touching up, especially his groin area which they completely missed for some reason. Shaving a Welsh Terrier ruins its signature wiry texture and vibrant color. Because clippers only cut the hair at the surface, the dead root stays in the follicle. This causes the coat to grow back softer, curly, and faded, destroying the weather-resistant "wire" jacket.When you hand-strip a terrier, you manually pull dead hairs from the root, which forces the follicle to regenerate strong, coarse, and deeply pigmented hairs. Shaving bypasses the root entirely, resulting in several permanent and temporary changes to your dog's coat:Color Fading: The famous black saddle of a Welsh Terrier will lose its deep intensity, often turning dull, gray, or washed-out.Texture Change: The coat loses its harsh, wiry texture and becomes soft, fuzzy, and more prone to tangling and matting.Color Fading: The harsh texture protects the dog from water, dirt, and thorns. A shaved coat loses this natural weather resistance.Loss of Function: Clipping cuts the hair shaft, trapping the dead, faded hair inside the follicle. The people handling the animals treated them as objects to scrub and cut not living pets. They twisted my dogs leg to get to they paw to cut the nail and cut her. I stopped the process and took my dog. Will never go back there. Another client there and said she wouldn't return either and she had been going there for eight years under the previous management. She said a man had stopped her before she went in and told her not to go in because of what the did to his dog. Never again!!!! DO NOT GO HERE, ESPECIALLY TO EVA!! We were a loyal client and took our Pomeranian here regularly for the past 5 years with Heather. She recently stopped working here and they changed to new ownership. Our last two cuts with Eva (who is apparently the new manager) were TERRIBLE AND TRAUMATIZING. After the first one, we had mistakenly decided to give her another chance and this time we showed her pictures of exactly what we wanted. She did not listen at all. Anyone who is experienced with grooming Pomeranians knows the importance of maintaining their double coat. She had completely shaved off his overcoat which damages the hair follicles and will now cause uneven regrowth, coarse texture, or alopecia. She didn't even bother to shape him so his fur is uneven and choppy. His mane is longer than his body and she completely cut down his tail to the nub!! I'm getting so upset just writing about this! We took him to a different groomer afterwards who offered to fix his cut and she said that Eva had used clippers on his fur instead of shears which you should NEVER do for a Pomeranian. We also believe she was rough with our Pomeranian and hurt him. He never had any issues when he was seeing Heather, but after both his visits with Eva he started flinching everytime we would brush him at home. Today after his appointment he was extremely agitated, would yelp when we pick him up, and even bit me which he would never do. We also specifically told her not to trim his nails. My sister is a vet tech and she usually trims them for us since they do it at her clinic. Eva did not listen to us and trimmed his nails anyways. I asked my sister to take a look because my dog started growling when I touch his paws and my sister noticed that Eva had cut his nails way too close to the quick and he was in pain. We will not be going back to this place and putting our dog through all that trauma again for a BAD haircut. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE. Update 8/14/26: They returned my call and Eva tried to lie to me saying we told her not to leave my dog too long. We specifically told her NOT TOO SHORT. Any good groomer would know that you don't shave off the overcoat. She kept claiming it would grow back in one month but the last time his hair was cut this short it took over a year to grow back. She even admitted to using blades and clippers on his fur. When I asked why she cut his nails despite us telling her not to, she claimed the receptionist did not note it down but EVA WAS THERE when we made that request. And she said the reason they cut it so close to the quick was because their scissors can not make it rounded? Make it make sense. Eva came up with excuses for everything that I brought up and then handed the phone to her receptionist midway through the conversation to handle her mess without taking any accountability. read more

If I could give this place a negative stars I would they're rude lol I took my dog in there to get her nails trimmed and ran next-door to the CVS to pick up my prescription I came back and then they said I was gone too long and they charged me $20 extra boarding fee so it cost me $45 for a nail trim for my dog. These people are scandalous. Worst thing you can do is go there. Yes, I did take a while. I told the girl in the front that I was gonna pick up a prescription from CVS next-door. Terrible new ownership. We have been going here for over 10 years and have always had the best service and experiences with our dogs. We recently brought our 1 1/2 year old doodle in which she has gone there since she was a very young pup. We were always told that she had good table manners and that she barked but no other behavior problems. She came back from her appointment last week under the new ownership and she looked horrible. They did not follow the previous cut and her cut was long and didn't look like she was even razor cut and she had scissor chop cuts on her ears and her jaw line and her nose. She was clean and they left her tail how we like it but other than that it was a VERY EXPENSIVE bath! We went back in to talk to the groomer who then told us that our pup was terrible with the dryer and was very scared and proceeded to show me a picture she took of her hand which she claims was swollen and bruised. She claims her hand was hurt due to having to hold the leash while drying our dog. If she had to hold the leash so tight that her hand was swollen then SHE was doing something wrong. I told her we never have had this problem and never were told our dog was difficult with the dryer. She was blaming the bad cut on our dog. She did offer to "fix" the cut but we will pass on that! Alert update! OMG they said he's a puppy. Told my hubby not to bring him here but he said they're inexpensive and we will give them a second chance. Look what happened for $80. Said he was hard to groom. Are you guys human??? I really need to report this place. First time around no one had the decency to respond to our concern and today July 10th this happens. Too many reviews I read were already telling me this place ain't professional and caring. They were rushing and our Teddy had watery eyes probably from the way they handled and treated him. I REPEAT DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE. ABUSIVE!!! Zero stars, we made them give us $40 back and they tried to bribe us with a free pass next time. We aren't coming back period. He is 8 months old and Teddy has been groomed several times and only here they said it was a nick, it's a freaking gash. They do not know how to handle puppies or dogs. We feel so sorry for him. The owner and employees should be ashamed of themselves. How in the world did they get their license? Under the table!?! They aren't animal lovers. I'm going to report them. I'm not sure what's going on with this place but I refuse to tale my dog here anymore. It used to be fine about 1-2 years ago when we bring him in and we would get a call that he's finished within 2-2.5 hrs at most. Recently they told us that we had to come in earlier because he's a large breed dog and they only have limited kennels for large dogs. Tell me why the last few times I drop my dog off at 9 am I don't hear back from them the entire day and I have to call 20 times until they pick up 30 mins before they close to tell me they "just finished". My dog doesn't even get cuts, only bath and blowout. It doesn't take 6 hours to do that and if you're going to leave him in the kennel the whole day don't tell us to drop him off early. I'm not even going to go in about how they only pick up 1/20 times I call them but this place has gotten so unreliable and shady. read more

My husband thought he would get her trimmed since we missed our regular appt at our regular groomer. Doggie Stylezz is our back up groomer. Uneven throughout, belly was not trimmed, snout was shaved (just the middle) nearly down to the skin. her fur on each paw is a different length, ears are uneven almost looks like a reverse mohawk on the top of her head. I had been going to Petco and they are nice and all, but I had to go every 4 weeks and her nails really never got shorter! On a whim I stopped in here because they accept walk in nail trimmings. We were in and out in minutes and her nails were short and proper for the first time ever! I think Petco might not have the expertise to cut the right amount but this place does great! I take my dog to a different groomer, who takes only 2 hours and my dog is perfectly fine upon pick up.
