I would have to agree with everyone who has seen Linda for Eyebrow waxing. She is the BEST in the business and no one can match her skills! I have full eyebrows and even though the thin eyebrow line is the "IN" thing, it's not for me. I like the shape of my eyebrows to be natural but clean and that is what she does. I have been going to this salon since they were by Starbucks: before they relocated. I have not gone to anyone else and won't trust anyone else with my eyebrows. Linda is the Waxing Goddess! By the way...I heard that a few years ago this salon was on the Dr. Phil show. Ask Linda. I've been going to Image Perfection for years. I've gotten services from almost every staff. They are all so pleasant. They are presentable and dress appropriately unlike the hoochie looking staffs at Tanforan mall (which I will never try again). Sometime I go to high-end spa with my gfs and end up paying an arm and a leg, but when it's just me, I always come back to Image Perfection. It's the perfect spa for the locals. So glad it is less than 10mins away from my home. Stephanie and the rest of the staff are warm and pleasant. Some of the regular services I have besides mani/pedi is a hot stone massage from Lu. I usually have one after playing sports. Don't let that small figure fool you. Lu is strong and will stretch all those achy joints. You just can't beat their price for the service. $90 for 90 mins is unheard of for hot stone! I've had eyebrows shaped and waxed, facials, micro-derma abrasion and diamond peel done by Linda. Oh and she does nails, too! I love the shoulder/foot massage during facials, so pampered. You just don't expect this much service from places like this or for the price. I have been coming to this salon regularly for 5 years now!!! The person who does my nails is Kelly. i like her work, always left a great tip..consider myself a great customer to this place. i have been very loyal and brought them more business. I called two days ago to make a reservation. Their boss picked up and said 7 pm i wrote it down , when i came he said he has me for 7:45 pm . I had to wait 1 hour until they took me in. This was very inconvenient for me, because i had my 10 months baby staying with my nanny and i only had her until 8pm. I would have left but i couldn't because i needed to get my nails done - the next day was very important event for me. the boss was rude and unprofessional. So the point is this was so terrible and frustrating! The didn't even take me at 7:45pm but @8 pm. And even then Joe started doing my mani but none was going to do my pedi.. i got really upset and asked Linda what is going on. They were just talking to each other on their language and trying to figure out smth,, i have never felt so bad in my life! Tammy came to make my pedi. i appreciate that a lot. Been screwed with time and after losing my patience i still tried to be nice and left Tammy 10$ tip for doing my regular pedi and $7 tip to Joe for doing my mani. And today i learned that THE BOSS SAID THEY WON'T BE SERVING ME ANYMORE. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? Instead of apologizing and trying to make it nice he says that i can't come here anymore!!! I will say I first walked thru the door in February.Receptionist was pleasant (jessica) and I was then greeted with a friendly,courteous gentleman (Vincent) who did an amazing job on my nails. I was very pleased so I rebooked for two weeks later.This time I was greeted by Stephanie,who was also very pleasant. Since Vincent did such a greaat job, I continued to book appts with him only.until.....I heard thru the grapevine that he was no longer working there, due to reasons NOT of his doing. So naturally when one is pleased with such great service I had to follow him.For those of you who weren't given the opportunity to find out where he went,if you are a loyal customer who appreciated his awesome work,look no further that 349 California Dr. in Burlingame. The salon is pleasant,clean, parking not such a hassle as the congested lot like Image, due to high volume of customers of check cashing place and Popeyes. Although I had nothing against Image Perfection,other than alot of time Vincent seemed to be the only person working,alot of the other ladies did maybe one customer to his 3,there is no reason for me to give Linda my business even tho they are close to my home.You go where the quality is. I'm always on the lookout for a pedi place close to my house. A couple of weeks ago I was in need of a pedi and didn't have a lot of time free. Image Perfection fit the bill...so I thought. The salon was pretty busy when I walked in so I thought my chances were slim. Linda greeted me and quickly got my pedi underway. So far, so good. As I sat in the chair the phone was ringing off the hook and regular clients kept coming in. Everyone was told, 10 minutes wait, pick a color. I noticed the pace of my pedi was getting faster, not really a problem at first, I was in a hurry. Then Linda started clipping my toenails...really short, funky angles. She began digging my cuticles, it really hurt alot. No blood, but I expected it. As she kept putting my feet in and out of the water I noticed that the other nail techs were not using any cleaners on the pedicure bowls between clients (just wiping them out with the same towel they used on their client). I started thinking, please don't let me get an infection, please... Well, my big toe was red and swollen for a couple of days after. I was worried, who wouldn't be? I had a podiatrist friend look at my foot, who was also thinking the toe looked funky. Fortunately I didn't end up with a nasty fungus infection.. I will not be going back there, not worth the chance. Something else worth mention. My pedi was done, I was escorted to the drying area. After 10 minutes, and no Linda in sight, I had to ask to pay. Image Perfection is a great place to get your gel manicure, but this time was not as good as my other times there. I was looking for the same person that did my nails 3 weeks ago, but I forgot her name and didn't recognize anyone's faces. This time, Amy did my nails. She was so rough with my cuticles, she kept chipping and chipping away, and it hurt! Now I have a healing scab on one of my fingers that stings when I wash it. In the end I looked at my nails in the car, and didn't appreciate that she left some nail polish on the sides of my fingers, and it was messy on the outside of my cuticles. Amy wasn't keeping track of how long my nails were under the UV light. I was told that 2 minutes is the MAX because anything after that could cause bubbles in the nails and make them peel. I was constantly looking at the clock because she never told me to take them out after each coat of nail polish. The reason why I'm giving her a bad review is because of my experience AFTER she was done. I went to pay at the register, which was $27 for gel manicure. I told her to include my tip when she charged my card. When she gave me the receipt to sign, she said something in Vietnamese and ALL the other workers looked my way. I noticed it because I turned around to say "bye" and everyone was looking at me. Although I have NO IDEA what she said, it made me feel self-conscious as if she made a comment about how much I tipped. I DEFINITELY did not appreciate that. I have never been treated so badly by anyone at Image Perfection prior to this experience. I was already hesitant to tip her because she was so rough and did not live up to my expectations. In the end, I tipped her solely because of the manual labor. But because of this experience, I regret tipping her at all. I believe that someone should earn a tip, and not expect it in the end. And on top of that, DON'T make a comment about a tip from a customer in front of their face. I thought it was completely rude and ruined my experience. read more

I've been one of the happy customers. But I received a couple of really poor services recently. One of the biggest one was this one. I called into the salon 1.5 hours before they close, so that I wasn't expecting that they could do my nail, but I just gave it a shot. The guy (probably owner) told me that they could do my nail if I could come in quickly, so that I got there after 10 mins. But when I got there the guy looked a bit confused and he was about to lock the salon's door, but since I made a reservation over the phone I told my name and he let me in. I've already had a weird feeling at that point. And then there were two manicurists, but they looked super upset and angry, and they kept complaining something (I didn't understand their language, but obviously they were really mad and didn't welcome me at all.) It seems that they complained about my visit, because they were about to leave the salon but the owner got my reservation. But this nail salon is open until 8:30pm according to Yelp, but it was still 7:20pm at that point... The lady who did my nail is usually nicer, but during this visit, she didn't say hello at all, and her service was 50% less than usual. Although I didn't like this salon's atmosphere and owner's service from the first visit, I still came here because of her technique. She rushed everything and was upset entire time. And at the end, the owner told me that I should have called in more early, and let me out from the salon really quickly. Yes, I should have done that, but at the same time, he should have told me that it was too late to come in. Obviously this was his poor judgement. I appreciate that they still did my nail for me, but they also recently increased a price as well (Gel Pedicure $40 to $43), and I don't think it's worth spending more than $50 including tips, so that I won't come back again. read more

I have been going here for years for mani's, pedi's and waxing. Occassionally I have had a bad experience but nothing like the other day that made me get a yelp account. LADIES BEWARE!! First I get my brows waxed and ask to have some arch put in. Alas...I look like I have a monobrow now. Not good. Ok so I then get my pedi. Different tech--Tammy. She cut my nails soo short and was digging in one so bad it brought tears to my eyes. I pulled away several times stating it hurt and she kept saying she was not done yet. By the time my toes were done I was bleeding and hurt! OMG! By this time the mani has started so I can't just leave. Hunh?? was the tech for my mani and she cut 5 out of the 10 nail beds. What the heck? So now I am crying because I was in a lot of pain. She started on the massage and kept pulling on the ends of my fingers she just cut open. HELLO!!!! I understand a nick or whatever but on 5 of 10 that is wholly unqualified. At the end of the appointment I gave her my card and she asked for a tip. Hummph. Ok so I gave $5.00 on a $50.00 tab and I thought that was generous since I would have to touch up my own brows, and I was bleeding in 6 places. When I said yes $5.00 the same tech that made my fingers bleed said: "That's it?" I was so dumbfounded. Yes ladies That's it. Love this place! I have gotten my eye brows waxed, gel manicure, and pedicure done here. The reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the eyebrow waxing is not consistent, the only time I loved my eyebrows was the very first time I went to this place. Since then I just stopped getting them done here. I honestly think that gel manicures are their specialty and Helen is the best for a gel manicure. I love that she takes her time and is very patient with you plus it last for 3+ weeks (sometimes 4-5 weeks). I usually get my pedicures done here too but the last time I got my nails done the lady did an ok job. I've had better pedicures done here before. I don't know the name of the lady who did my pedicure but she might be new because I have never seen her before. Overall a really good place to go! Everybody is professional and the place is well maintained and clean. I would definitely recommend this place for a gel manicure and pedicure. read more

This is the best place and only place where I trust the employees 100% with my eyebrows and nails. Every time I come here to get my eyebrows waxed, they make it to the way you like it. Very clean and shaped out ($10). Linda does a really good job with my eyebrow. She's amazing. And all the employees here are very friendly and they take real good care of you. I had gone to this salon for nearly 5 years when Linda was running it. I came back recently and got my nails done. The guy who did my nails used a color much lighter than the one I asked for, made the edges sharp enough that I later broke skin itching my forehead, and the nails were wider than my nailbeds! The color on each nail didn't match, the length of the nails varied drastically, and it was an over all fail. Sad to see my once favorite salon fall so low :/ read more

Very clean, organized, and well stocked salon. Staff is very nice and accommodating, they listen to what I ask for and they make sure I like the manis and pedis I receive. Usually at other salons, I ask for a specific person, but not here at Image Perfection! Every person that works here is very talented. Appointments aren't necessary, but just make one because they do get a tad busy at times. From my own experience, I've dropped in and have had to wait 30-45 mins. read more

I work really close to here and decided to try the place out and i wish I never went there! First off it seems like everyone loves this place, for the cleanliness, but they used a USED nail filer on me and I cringed through my whole service. Second, I went in for a Mani and pedi and told them I didn't need a massage because I was a tad pressed for time....( I had to catch a flight in 2 hours) Ladies when they are speaking a different language, it may be about you. I lived in different foreign countries and have picked up many different languages and I understood loud and clear eveything they were saying about me, the technician kept saying that I was rushing her and was working so fast that I thought she was going to cut off one of my toes. I wasn't rushng no one, I just didn't have time for the massage part,so told her to skip and she took it all offensively. I thought I was helping her out because it was less work for the same amount of money... The polish work was so bad, I had to go get it repainted else where. For that said I would never come back here!! When I left and they got the money, they didn't even say bye or thanks.... Never again!! read more

The place is clean which is a very important to me. I've been here a couple of times for a pedicure. They do a good job and my polish lasts for weeks. A lot of people also come here for waxing. However, I unfortunately had a bad experience recently. About two months ago I booked an appointment with the receptionist and specifically asked if they could take three different people for a service at 4:00 p.m. She said yes. Two of us were taken within 5 minutes of our arrival. The third had to wait. 15 minutes passed and I asked when my cousin would be taken. They said sorry, they were running late and it would just be a couple more minutes. There was a free nail tech though just sitting in a chair. It was already 4:30 and by that time two older ladies arrived. The receptionist ( young lady, high school age) immediately asks how they were, offers them water and tea, and sets up their pedicure station. The same person barely took time to greet us when we walked in (she was chatting away on the phone) and didn't offer us any water or tea. Then the nail tech that was waiting started to service them! I was very upset but didn't want to cause a scene. Sitting there, those new customers say in passing that their appointment was at 4:30. If the salon was running late, which I understand can happen, then shouldn't a customer who was scheduled to come at 4:00 be taken before a customer scheduled at 4:30? But obviously, since the customers seemed to be regular patrons judging from the conversations they had, they were serviced first. My cousin was not taken til about 4:45. When I was paying I asked why they were taken first and she just smiled and never really answered my question only stating the salon was running late. I was really disappointed because I liked coming here, but I don't think we were treated fairly at all. I'm a very pleasant easy going person, but it's not ok to take regular customers over newer customers who had earlier apointment times. read more

I usually go to Alpha Nails in Millbrae, but since I waited until the last minute to get mine and my daughter's nails done, i settled...repeat, SETTLED for this place. There were 2 people getting theor nails done. I was serviced right away...a star for that. The Guy at the counter said my daughter would have to wait 15 minutes. Fine. Then a ladie with her dog comes in acting like she owns the place and feeling entitled, got her color, eye brows maxed then they sat her down in the pedi spa...all the while, the other chick is serviced her mani while she gets her pedi...then another chick comes in and she gets serviced asap! Daughter still not in a chair. Chick gets done with pedi, gets sat in a chair for mani. Then the lady who did her mani goes to the woman with the dog!!! WTF! we got here first. Fast forward to now...approx 1 hour later, daughter's feet in water for 20 mins, probably shriveled, and we've probably been her over an hour already. I go up to the guy and asl how much longer, he says 5 to 10 mins "i cant really predict the time", he also says with an attitude. Bull shit! I see whats going on. No one is near done with their customers. This place sucks with prioritizing walk-ins. Only 1 person had an appointment. The guy is rude. The 2nd star for my mani. And they charged me $28 for a standard pedicure!!! What the...?? Overall, this place lacks customer service skills. Nails ok. I have an appointment at Alpha Nails in 2 weeks...thank god! Make sure to make an appointment because always they're super busy! I love Tammy she's always so nice and accommodating. I can be a little picky but the girls are always happy to fix anything. This place does amazing nails! I've been here often and everytime my nails look great and it will last. I've been to other places and am happy with the results but by day two it cracks, peels, etc. Somehow the mani/pedis from Image Perfection will last much longer. My only complaint would be the wait it takes to get serviced, but they take time on each person to make sure they are doing a great job, so it's worth it. read more

Everyone at this salon is very nice - HOWEVER - there is a 50/50 chance you will get a good manicure. I've been coming here for years and so far was OK with taking my chances because although sometimes the work wasn't great, it was good enough for me to come back because it's located in a convenient location. BUT last time I came in my nails looked like they were done by a 5 year old - the nails were filed crooked, the polish was all around the nails on my skin. I sucked it up, went home and had to start from scratch on my nails - but vowed to myself that was my last visit. That's really too sad. read more
