I was in the St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Charles without my glasses. Lewis and Clark Gardens…read moreRehabilitation Center had appropriated them (but that's another review). I checked everywhere I had been to make sure that it was L&C that had stolen them. Yep. They had been sucked down the Black Hole of Allen's (the worst nurse at L&C IMHO) ego. I phoned Walmart in O'Fallon where I had originally purchased the glasses (approx. $280) but they would be unable to replace the glasses for a week! I phoned a local optician but that shop told me that it would be two weeks! I was desperate! That night I talked with my ex-wife who lives in a small town in Alabama (yes, Mary and Henry. You can still be friends with your ex). She had just gotten new glasses at her local LensCrafters. The glasses cost her about $250 and were ready in less than an hour! I know. Sounds like a LensCrafters Commercial. Quite honestly I was skeptical. I found a LensCrafters close to St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles on the internet and phoned them. I explained my problem: I was in the hospital and L&C Rehabilitation (Allen) had eaten my glasses. I would have to order the frames unseen and hope that the Walmart Eye Center in O'Fallon would release my prescription. Then there was the problem of delivery. I have no local relatives and just recently moved here from Alabama so have few friends. The manager of this LensCrafters said there would be no problems and he was as good as his word. The new glasses cost just over $300. He personally delivered my glasses to me in my hospital room before 5:00 the same afternoon. Thank you, LensCrafters for being a standup company. I don't trust reviews like this one. Those who know me will know that it is true and absolutely accurate. For everyone else, I urge you to try this eyestore.

If I can give a no star, I would. Bought several glasses over the year but this will be my last…read moretime. My lenses rose coating was flaking around the lens. I went to the store the first time, not cover since no lens protection. Report to corporate and they said to go back to store. The rest of employees were very nice and she saw the flaking. She said manager will call you. He did not instead she called back and I said I wanted to speak to the manager. Almost 2 months later still not heard from him. I went to Costco and Target optical (own by same company) for 2nd and 3rd opinion and all said they would redo the lenses. The they later said there is a 90 days warranty. I have my lenses adjusted many times by only them and they never reported to me. I then contact BBB, the manger wrote I stepped on my glasses. Never have and on top of that why the flaking of the rose coating. I only asked for a replacement of the lenses not refund. No more coming here. Also BBB has multiple F rating for Lenscrafters at this location

I was a first timer to this location today, and I would not visit again, unfortunately. The front area looks like it has been renovated or updated fairly recently, but the building is old. The exam rooms are showing their age, and are not well insulated for sound, making them not as private as I'd prefer. The form I was asked read and sign, pre-appointment, could've been straight out of a comic strip... It was a copy of a copy of a copy, it appeared. Black and white, double-sided, and really streaky vertically. Almost impossible to read a line of it, especially given that I was there because I misplaced my last pair of readers a couple of hours before I walked in. So I asked the receptionist about the content, and the purple highlighted sections where I was to sign or initial, assuming it was typical pre-exam patient release form legalese. (It was.) BTW, I went in for a preventative annual eye exam, and as I only wear readers, I'm unable to speak to the experience of purchasing glasses there. Overall, a meh on the exam.

Spent a long time picking out my frames. They were marked and measured. Then when I came back to…read morepay for them they couldn't find them. After 2 days I got a phone call saying they found my frames. They had not. They pulled a similar pair off the shelf and tried pass them off as my frames. It was an absolute lie. This entire process was an absolute fiasco. And this will be my last visit to Clarkson Eye Care.
