    Illy coffees, all around

Yes! Illy coffee. What's there not to like. Went here three days in a row. Good Italian coffee. Nice barista. Clean. Quick.

The worst iced coffee award goes to ILLYs !

Whether your little on time, or using the Renaissance hotel breakfast voucher - take your time and efforts and run to either Caribou or Starbucks which are right around the corner. The iced coffee was so bitter and astringent - no amount of cream or sugar would help it. It technically wasn't even an iced coffee because it was a water diluted espresso. They do have a cold brew machine - but it looks like it was out of service. Cappuccinos were awful - I got two, one make with Almond, the other made with Milk. Both were diluted and were not Frothed adequately. It basically became an Americana with how milky it was. I also got a stale Croissant, and a Yogurt Parfait that was moldy/fuzzy and had an alcohol aroma. Clearly the baristas needs more training, both in customer service as well as in making Illy coffee which I've always known to be a good product.

I was staying downtown on a work trip and came here a few times to get a coffee/breakfast in the morning. The times I came, it wasn't so busy, so I was in & out pretty quick especially if you running late. Friendly staff works there, tasty coffee and pastries as well. They make a pretty mean latte so that was a plus! Prices are ok but slightly on the higher side. Nice little coffee shop with some tables and counters to read the morning paper too. Enjoyed coming here, definitely a place to come by for coffee when I'm back in town again.

Great little cafe serving up flavorful drinks made with Italian illy coffee. Friendly staff.

    Lovely latte!

Great service, but the breakfast wrap was mediocre and the coffee not so good. There are better places nearby.

This place is just not worth the money. I'd rather spend a few extra dollars to have better options and friendlier service.

I don't throw around the word "franchise" lightly. But I walked out of Mango Mango Dessert on Colorado Blvd genuinely researching whether I could open one in centennial or south area. That should tell you everything. The crepe cake is what got me. Thin crepe after thin crepe, stacked with cream, and somehow light enough that you don't feel like a monster for finishing it. We also grabbed some to bring home... which lasted about 20 minutes if I'm being honest. Perfect end of night dessert. Here is the thing though... this place doesn't feel like it was built for an American audience. It feels like someone picked it up directly from Asia and just set it down on Colorado Blvd, completely intact. The flavors, the presentation, the whole experience... it's the real deal. Not a watered down approximation of what Americans think Asian dessert tastes like. The actual thing. Now the lines. They are long. At all hours. And the answer is yes... people just love it this much. A line that long is usually trying to tell you something. Go. Just bring a bag if patience.

The Eggs Benedict on a croissant stood out, and you can tell they take their baking seriously. Their "Queens" (their version of a kouign-amann) are especially worth trying. They also use high quality, locally sourced ingredients, and it shows in the flavor. Go for the cake, but definitely stay for more.

But fast forward to 2026 and the era of tariffs and inflations, a $10 drink is the norm. And I'm glad I decided to give MTP another try. First time was good but didn't stand out. This time around, I left impressed. We were in Downtown to see Hell's Kitchen and I decided to bring my partner here since he's never been. This time, I ordered the ube jasmine sweet cream drink because it didn't look too powdery and artificial (the light purple color spoke to me). We also ordered the black sesame drink and both drinks were quite delicious and definitely worth the drive for the drinks (or at least the 14 min walk from the entertainment venues to here for a pick me up before the shows). They're not too sweet and I'm glad that they don't overload the drink with ice because I've been to some places where you get 90% ice. It's a modern milk tea shoppe but it's currently located in a plaza with plenty of outdoor seating and it's enclosed so you don't see the loudness of the city. I'd heard of this store at least a few times in the past; I finally got a chance to pay my visit to it on a cold April day with light snow. Great day to have a little sweet treat to warm up?? LOL, indeed it was!! I wanted something that has/had chocolate in it. Unfortunately, unless the Turkish chocolate (you buy it in a large portion which I opted not to), all the chocolate Baklavas had almonds in them (I am allergic to almonds sad to say.) When I was patiently looking around, Creme Baklava caught my attention. "A ha!!" I couldn't think of anything else so I asked the kind lady to give me one of them. All baked goods are reasonably priced; my Creme Baklava was only $3 a piece. A few hours later when I was done with my errands, I finally took a bite of it and oh my heavens, this is/was probably the best Baklava I've eaten in the Denver area. Conveniently located right next to a Middle Eastern restaurant (Baghdad Mediterranean Grill), if you get a meal (lunch or dinner) there but want a little something to take care of your sweet tooth after a filling meal, simply go to Reem's Bakery to satisfy your craving. In a way, they are symbiotically located in the same shopping center. How convenient!
