- Cam Phaser Failure: Under warranty, service department retained my vehicle for over three months with little progress. Upon pickup, it failed immediately because it had not been test-driven.
- Moonroof Failure: Repair attempts made last summer continue to fail.
- Transmission Failure: In June 2026, at under 59,000 miles, the transmission failed. Service staff initially accused me of neglecting transmission fluid changes and quoted $10,000 for a replacement, despite all required maintenance having been completed at your facility. After I contacted Ford Corporate, a 70% goodwill coverage was approved following a two-month wait. However, due to repeated delays and additional failures discovered between September and October, the vehicle was not returned to me until October 27, 2026.
Upon picking up the vehicle on October 27, it was still not operating correctly during the test drive. Furthermore, the following incidents occurred:
- A service representative named John falsely claimed the mechanic was out of the country, though I confirmed he was present in the shop.
- Representative Danielle Francione refused to provide an itemized breakdown of the labor and costs for my 30% out-of-pocket portion ($1,900), preventing verification of the charges.
- When I requested a manager, both John and Danielle refused and threatened to revoke the loaner vehicle.
- While I was outside speaking with Ford Corporate, John deflated the tires on my loaner vehicle to force me to take the F-150. When I confronted him, he stepped directly into my face in an aggressive, physically threatening manner.
- I called 911, and officers from the East Hanover Police Department responded to the scene. With police assistance, I paid the $1,900 under protest and left with the vehicle.
Due to these severe issues, I am filing formal complaints with the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau, and I am seeking legal counsel regarding further action.
