This park is very clean and scenic. Even in the winter it is kept nicely cleared. There is a good…read moreamount of parking. Just be aware that there are times that the lot does get full; however there is street parking. I was surprised that we had no difficulty with parking today. It was such a gorgeous, dry late Sunday morning. For parents with babies and young children in strollers (and for other "pet parents" using strollers) I have a beagle who has difficulty walking. She needs a stroller so I have brought her many times with it.... I don't have difficulty on the walking paths or in the parking lot... it's very easy for me which is so nice. It means I can bring both dogs with me alone at times (today was a super bonus because my husband walked our other pup). As far as wheelchair accessibility, I need to check it out more carefully next time. Having spent only a small amount of time in a wheelchair a few decades ago - I can relate to how difficult it can be to get around. I am pretty sure it's very easily accessible. I will check everything when I go back... The restrooms are pretty clean most of the time. It's nice that they are there!! There are many benches throughout the park. It's hard not to be "in the moment" and "mindful" while at this park. There's so much beauty. Today we saw many ducks swimming. And the sunlight against the bright blue sky...... Didn't want to leave!!

With grassy fields, woodland routes, historical structures, and a duckpond this green space has something for everyone. Well maintained paved walking and biking loops of varying lengths and elevation provide a customizable outdoor experience. If you arrive early in the morning you're sure to run into friendly local fauna who call this place home. Find Trexler's cabin at one of the trail forks, and head up the hill to find a monument to the man himself. There are no picnic tables around but there are ample benches for resting and taking in the sights, and there is a public bathroom near the parking lot.

It took me a little while to post this review, but this was definitely an enjoyable part of my trip…read moreto Pennsylvania last year. The garden has so many different features to enjoy. To begin with I've never seen so many unique trees in my life. Trees growing at odd angles. Trees with leaves that seemingly I've never seen before. Trees that have the appearance of having been there for hundreds of years. Then there are the rose bushes. Rose bushes as big as Cadillacs. Rose bushes that clearly have been cared for by loving handlers. I used to have roses on my property and I know how fussy they can be. The path around the small lake is a joy to walk, and very well paved. I would love to visit here again someday.

Free entry, beautiful park. Lots of places to picnic, read a book or just enjoy the sun…read more There are a lot of different varieties of trees but none of them are identified. I saw a few that I could not identify by eye or app that looked rare to me. It would be nice if some of the the rarer specimens were tagged. Also felt like some of the trees were in need of an arborist. There is quite the monoculture going on along the creek bed, poison hemlock I believe. It's such an enjoyable spot but there is so much more potential that I see. A few areas seem in disrepair, stairways to entry in one of the buildings on site. Hopefully they can save the building and make the walkways a little safer. Ideally an arborist would give some of the trees some attention and maybe some conservationist could do something about the hemlock. Totally worth the trip though. Ample parking.
