Super amazing time tonight!! Great night with my husband and grandson..Highly recommended and huge. Much bigger than expected and tons of details and spookiness has been applied.. They have figured it out so there is no standing in long lines.. 4 amazing different areas, fire pits, music food drinks and snacks!!!

    The facade/entrance of Condemned.

This was my first time coming here after moving to the area a few years ago. Overall I thought it was a pretty decent event, not perfect but definitely had some good stuff. I went on a Friday night, admission was $50 (I believe they have coupons for $5 off online). I did not do the line skipping fast pass for another $25, which was fine as there was a minimal wait for each attraction. Box office opens at 6, I arrived at 6:20, there was plenty of parking (free), then too go through getting metal detected and sign a release then walk to the ticket booth. I believe they're cash only, but they have an ATM. They give your group a number, which is how you get onto the first attraction, they hayride. So then you hang out in the common area that they call 6 Feet Under. They have a DJ, fire pits, food (pizza $15, French fries, donuts, bbq), alcoholic beverages in blood bags and Jell-O shots in syringes, axe throwing ($1 a throw, $3 for 5). There's also a bunch of benches and portable bathrooms. They also have a gift shop area with some shirts and maybe some other stuff. They started loading people up for the hayride around 7:10 and I was on the 3rd tractor I think. I'd recommend sitting on the left side of the tractor (closer to the waiting line). Some of the scenes in the hayride were well done, like the set of the old abandoned town with the gas station, and the voodoo setup actors were very good. Some scenes could use some work, like the Geiger counter scene. But overall fun. The hayride dumps you off at the start of the PsychoPath, which is mostly clown themed. Has some cool scenes like the beginning ones with the curtains, and all the swinging bags, the carnival game scare. There were some sections where you're just walking through corn or some blacked out maze that could have used something or more actors but not bad with some good scenes. The 12 year old in my group got pretty scared at some parts. This is largely outside, so glad I work boots. You then go to BioPurge which is about military trying to stop a zombie infection. Has a few theatrical scenes where you sit down and interact with the scenery which were different. I don't remember if this or Condemned end with the outdoor junk yard maze part, but that was a good scene too. The last house is Condemned, which is like a redneck abandoned house kind of theme. Lots of well themed rooms with grime and filth, lots of animal skins and a few sections that have parts that will make you like duck down, or feel like you're going to fall, etc. I was done the last house at 8:20, so about 80 minutes from loading on the tractor to being done, or 120 minutes from parking to leaving.

12/10 spookies. Such a good time, had to wait for our number to be called but once it was, we went through 4 attractions, haunted hayride, corn maze, Bio-Purge zombie zone, and the Condemned haunted house with little to no wait. All of the staff were wonderful, especially the tall hunk of sergeant that was in the transportation room of Bio-Purge on Friday the 13th 2023. If you're reading this, call me.

I can't believe I hadn't heard about this til last year. Rather than driving out to Reading or up to Jim Thorpe, I decided to try out the local attraction. And it was much better than I expected! OK, it's true that they advertise four attractions but there are really only two. Well, 3. They combine a haunted hayride and haunted cornmaze (though they did it very well and it was very fun and surprising). They also combine two haunted houses (which were exciting and creative). You can pay extra to get on a giant truck and shoot paintballs at "zombies" roaming the cornfields. Of course that could have been better - more zombies, or more things to shoot at, but it was still entertaining. There were also snacks, including some tasty donuts and excellent cheese fries. The admission is a bit overpriced but I got some cheaper tickets from Groupon. I am interested to see what they come up with in 2019!

The YouTube videos looked great and tickets were purchased. After our pre-haunt meal we arrived. The place was lit up nicely, creepy music playing. The actor who gave the instructions was on point, he was creepy, funny and into the festivities that awaited us. So this is by no means a bad review, however, there was just not enough actors to deliver scares. The sets were fantastic, using all the standard fare that all the great places use. That being said, again, just not enough actors within the haunt. We walked through several scenes without seeing an actor. For the price of the tickets (which are on par with much larger places like Penhurst Asylum and East State Penitentiary) Hotel of Horror just does not stack up with the big boys. Would we return? Probably not, for the money, would most likely return to one of the big boys!!!

The actors bring you into their scene and leave their mark on you as you pass through. Lots of cool effects from fog, to lighting, scents and sounds. And of course, confusion. Not to say that you'll get lost, but they do add to the anxiety by making it somewhat difficult to maneuver. Their static props are incredibly well made. They'll have your entire group staring at the wrong thing. The scare actors did a really great job with our group. They took their time. My shirt came out the coolest because I got a dahlia smile. If you are worried about touching: The actors will touch your head, arms/hands, back and lower legs/feet. Rough grab, nothing firmer than you would a toddler to prevent running. If you are worried about it being too much: THEY HAVE A STOP WORD. Ask before you go in. Come with the intention of having fun and playing the scene with the actors. You will have lots of fun.

There's lots of touching - at one point we encountered a large gentleman in a dress where his boobs were hanging out and we were made to feel them.  After that he tickled me.  We also got to feel a clown's balls (What? She had a room full of balls).  My friend sat down for a shave, where they covered his face in shaving cream.  We were also basted in the kitchen by the chef (the clothes start to get real messy here).  The sets were very intricate, and all of the actors were very committed to their roles.  We even encountered a woman giving birth (cool effect that the baby flew across the room which was followed by a shower of blood).  This was a wonderfully unique experience and well deserving of five stars! You probably want to bring a change of clothes though, and maybe some wash cloths.  Also, if you can find a place other than a public parking lot to get changed at, that would be ideal.

They did a good job of trying to scare you with using fog or light that blinked a lot. I do feel like they could have done a better job with the haunting. Like there was one section where there was a tunnel and it was too foggy to see anything. There were a ton of mannequins you had to walk past. I think it would have been nice if they would have had some actual people in there so they could come back from behind and scare you. The haunt also featured palm readers and had a bar where they were also playing live music. There were some characters dressed up near the bar as well which was interesting. The staff was really friendly and took an ample amount of pictures for us. If you bought premium tickets, there was a separate line and they had access to a VIP bar as well (to be honest, it didn't seem worth it to me but I also wasn't drinking).

I don't like that you dint have a choice of which order to do the attractions in that you have to do them in order and there's nothing really in between like a bonfire or snacks, bathrooms were plentiful though. Also my favorite part of haunted places is always the hayride so I missed that but again everything that was there was really good. The asylum part itself was the best part. There was some sort of incident at the end and we were rushed out and it was hush hush so we didn't get snacks or shopping at the end but it's ok the kids got frosty's at Wendy's on the way home. I would recommend and do it again.

They have like a food court and games area, which is kind of cool but the games and escape room aren't part of the tickets, you have to pay extra. We have a better experience at a different haunt, same price, with way more attractions and it includes carnival rides and games in general admission tickets. So that was upsetting to know we have to pay even more money after already paying over $100 for general admission. We made the best of it and still had a good time. I'd suggest looking at the weather before purchasing tickets and avoid rainy days if possible.

Prices were decent. Spent around $30 for a full meal, drink, extra fries, and the donuts and a hot chocolate. The hayride was so fun and scary. No spoilers but they do something that no other hayrides in the Philly area do (none that I'm aware of). It was terrifying in the 30 secs it occurred. The walk through haunts were fun but if you don't want to crouch and walk, maybe not for you. There's a good 10-15 min of walking in a crouch. Also have to go up stairs so watch your footing. Another thing they do is a full zombie experience included in the general pass.
