She was the founder of the American Red Cross, worked as a nurse during the civil war, and also known for her humanitarian work and civil rights advocacy, among other things. The Clara Barton School is a small brick building that has been around even before Clara Barton made it into a free school in 1921 and is kept in great condition by the Bordentown Historical Society, New Jersey Historic Trust, and volunteers. Due to the historical nature of the building, dogs are not allowed inside, but can join you outside the beautifully maintained historic site.

The visitor center sells the tickets, has a gift shop, and quite a thorough exhibit on William Penn and his decision to found a colony and the influences behind how he ran it, including his conversion to Quakerism. The house itself has tours regularly, and our tour group was pretty big. They have evidence of the foundation and recreated his summer house based on multiple sources, and the house has a different vibe than something from the colonial area around a hundred years later. You can see a simpler and English-inspired architecture with dark wooden interiors and focus on basic metal and wooden furnishings. The tour passes through the more public rooms, the bedrooms, and the kitchen where the tour finishes. The tour guide did seem to have a particular interest in herbs that were used medicinally at the time. The overall information was interesting to learn about Penn, his family, and life at the time. On site, they also had a few reenactor tradespeople, including a joiner, two weavers, and two blacksmiths. They were all very enthusiastic about answering questions on their crafts. There is also a garden to walk through and some livestock. Between the indoor and outdoor exhibits, it was a really thorough site with different things for everyone to enjoy.

You can see vegetable gardens, a barn, a wooden boat, a kitchen, and a guy squashing apples to make cider. (Kids love that). There is also a little workshop where a guy does woodworking. Another guy was carving a log into a canoe. There is a gift shoppe which sells pencils and stuffed animals, if you can't find one at the local discount mart in your neighborhood and have a paucity of these in your bedroom. There is also a tour of the mansion. It has no lights. It is not original but recreated to perhaps be like the original. There is also a outhouse adjacent to this structure, but people are prohibited from making deposits in it.

The drivers accommodated all of us -- especially those with disabilities without delay or conflict. That was very refreshing and professional. My only suggestion is that riders can be sent the pick up route/instructions the day before they arrive to avoid so much confusion once they land. Nobody at the airport seemed informed and the confusion was high as people arrived from all over the world for this international conference. Thank you for being professional and providing reliable and safe passage! Great job by all!! The buses were on time, comfortable, clean, and with the fee. The drivers were friendly and accommodating. The customer service was responsive and professional.

My guests were left confused since their bus broke down and they had to call another one. This led to my guests arriving late to our wedding. I only found out months after my wedding that this occurred as David Thomas did not notify me of the issue. After months of going back and forth with their CFO, they were not accommodating with a refund. If you are planning to use David Thomas for your wedding, my advice would be to go with another company. They are disorganized and do not handle issues appropriately.

My group of 5 went to Oasis Island of Terror on a Saturday evening. We got there at 7 pm and there…read morewas plenty of parking. Tickets were $45 and there are two attractions included within the ticket - Woods Have Eyes and Blackout. The line for each attraction was 40 minutes to an hour, so I would definitely recommend getting there earlier in the evening for less of a wait. However, they space out each group pretty well, so that the scares aren't spoiled by the screams by the group directly ahead. We did the Woods Have Eyes first and we appreciated the fact that the trail was lengthier so that the wait was worth it. We thoroughly enjoyed the various settings and environments we were put through and it was definitely scary. For Blackout, one member of the group is given a glowstick as a source of light for the duration of the trail. This one was significantly shorter and we wish there were more scares as there were many missed opportunities in the dark. Overall, we had a great time at Oasis Island of Terror and it is better than some of the other haunted attractions in New Jersey!

We arrived at 7 pm and have been waiting in line for "The Woods Have Eyes" interaction for what…read morefeels like an eternity. It's been an astonishing 3 hours since we started waiting in line, and we're still nowhere near the beginning of the interaction. This is simply unbelievable. The place is freezing, and there's not a single heater lamp, fire pit, or any other form of warmth for the customers. To make matters worse, they're allowing every single customer who has paid for the VIP tickets to go through, leaving us stuck in line. I don't think I'll be returning to this place after this experience.
