The first 4 years of my life I was about a 5 minute ride from the Bucks County Drive in, which then was sold and a shopping complex was built. Years later when I was in middle school my dad found out about Becky's. It's about an hour and a half away from Doylestown/ Bucks County and it feels like, at least to us, it's in the middle of nowhere. Ha! What I do I love about Becky's first and foremost, is the family like feel. They have a ton of staff and they all just feel like a big family which is super great, they're all so nice and helpful. This past weekend was probably the first time I went in maybe 12-15 years and since then they have expanded so much. I love that Becky's has two screens but what is also great is that rather than selling everything from what they now call the 'express' stand , like they used to. They have 3 buildings. A souvenir stand, an express snack stand, and the regular refreshment stand. They have a lot of great souvenirs that I definitely picked up. All the prices are reasonable and they have a wide variety of snacking options. I loved that when you got your receipt for your tickets you got a little menu as well as a trash bag. Both were very helpful. They let you know what rows you can park in based on your size vehicle and what I also loved was the option to rent a radio. For the life of me I couldn't find a battery operated radio and I didn't want to risk my battery dying with a long drive ahead. However they do have jumper cables should you need them. I'm so glad I got to experience this with my boyfriend and we've already talked about coming back this summer! Becky's is such a great spot for everyone and I can't wait to continue to visit for years to come. Just wish I lived closer.

We typically go to the other drive in theater, but to me Becky's is much cleaner and with more food options. They have burgers and pizza, two different concession stands for even flow of traffic. The price is about the same for both. Reception of the sound is great, screen size is good, and overall a very nice movie going experience. All the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Popcorn was really good, pretzel bites better than Regal, pizza has a great crust and baked well, soda in huge 44 oz cups, fries and chicken tenders cooked well, and the hot dog very satisfying. But really it was just super clean and easy to maneuver. Very good experience and look forward to returning

    Refreshments, anyone?

Absolutely loved it. The staff was friendly. The place is clean. Concessions were yummy. Well definitely return!

Security has a terrible attitude and it's not worth going when they are on a power trip. The guys at the box office told us we could park in row 4 and back for screen 1 with our Jeep Patriot since we weren't going to be opening our tailgate. As soon as we get set up in row for an old man flew up in a golf cart with a horrific power trip attitude demanding we move to row 6 or back. When trying to tell him we were told we could park there he only got a worse attitude with me even after we said we would move. This was our first time here and will be our last. No point in spending money here when Shankweiler's Drive In has customer service that crushes this place.

Becky's has been open for 75 years so they must be doing something right. 2 screens to choose from, reasonable prices, clean large restrooms and plenty of food options. They also have a kids play area (so they can run off that energy before sitting thru a movie) a little train ride, souvenir stand, radios to rent for just a couple of bucks. This was my 1st drive-in experience and I would do it again Most of the people were courteous but some late comers and those headlights can annoy!

My husband has never been to a drive in so this was a wonderful first experience. They are taking extra measures to make sure the place stays clean and safe due to COVID, and everyone was friendly and helpful. The prices of food are reasonable and I would gladly go back again soon! Thanks for keeping the tradition alive!

Well there's not much to say about Becky's Drive in that already hasn't been said. This is truly an American pass time that's been around forever. Good family fun for all. 6/24/2013 I feel like I'm in a country song Sitting on a tailgate A cold beer in my hand At the drive-in Getting late Brisk Pennsylvanian breeze Water drizzles down on my feet The sound of fleeting wet tires Echoes as Captain America Fights off the enemy The only thing missing in this song Is the same thing missing under my arm A beautiful girl And the warmth of us us two Cuddled up against each other And enjoying us

It was a clear night with a lot of cars, music, special events, costumes, and just a fun vibe throughout. The on-site radio station runs programming and music up to dusk and the start of the night. We listened from a warm SUV close to the screen and even though everyone was in their own little clusters, we all laughed and cheered loud enough to carry across the open field. The people running this show do it out of love for film, the drive-in experience, and the people who come to see these films. The movies are scheduled so it brings together fans of horror, fantasy, schlock, shock, and classic Gen-X flicks. Check out their podcast which can be linked on their website. In addition to a great concession stand, they've got cool swag and merch. The portable toilet experience is hit or miss, but that's a minor bit of 'roughing it' in exchange for the experience. When we were there, a concert was playing up the road and sometimes competed with the sound of the movies, but I didn't mind that so much as some entitled whine-factories. It's just like it felt back toward the end of the golden era when I was growing up in the 70s and early 80s. Movies on a big white screen outside among a thousand close strangers. Definitely worth the drive if you're between New York and DC.

At first I was not really impressed ... minus the staff who was my actual first impression and they were very nice and cool. I was surprised we got there a few minutes before gates opened and the whole road was filled with a line to get in. They have one gate and let two cars enter. We had to buy tickets ahead of time and it was per person - not sure if this is common or just for this theater or just for special events. We went for the Godzilla Kong two day event. There is only one large theater and they gave us like no directions on where to park or what to do or anything. We got a spot pretty up close and it was not easy to see where to leave from - they definitely need more markers. I think they assume many people here are regulars but that was not the case and direction by mouth or way of sign would have been helpful. We felt so bad leaving and were not sure if we went out the "theater" correctly. They have a very small like merch stand and a very old snack stand that does have bathrooms- I got nervous seeing the port-a-potties. The bathrooms are very tiny and the stalls are even tinier so if you're claustrophobic (or a more plus sized person) it might not be super comfortable. They did have a decent amount of snacks and I like that they also sold vhs and vinyl inside. There were a bunch of cool displays for this event which I also enjoyed. I do not like that they didn't have radios to rent. Not really trusting using my car radio I did have to purchase a radio to be able to pair. They basically have an mc/dj who made a curated playlist and talked about the movies before hand. It didn't get dark until 9:15 - we only stayed for one movie because of how late it was and when we left we didn't realize how crowded it was. There definitely were some pros and cons to this theater- we'll probably be back mostly for convenience because it was a straight shot up 476 which made getting here really easy. It definitely is a bit more ... noticeably old and I don't know if they play new movies or not. But overall it was enjoyable. Next time we might stay close by when they have a triple feature like this.

For $1 admission, you can discover a treasure trove of goodies, antiques, and even some junky finds (what one person considers junk, another might consider a treasure!). On a good day, the flea fair is full of vendors and people to sell their items. Last week, they had to turn away vendors because they ran out of spots. The drive-in concession stand is open, though they don't have breakfast food options I could see. Still, it's a good option if you're planning to spend the whole day there. The flea fair runs from 6 AM - 2 PM on Sundays, so it's best to get there early, as it tends to fill up quickly on nice days. Also, keep in mind that bad weather days might mean fewer vendors, so plan accordingly. There is also no indoor flea market option. The concessions are vital to a theater's resources and having many options is great. My only concerns have never been addressed by owners or management. The bathrooms in the lower section are tiny, dark and smelly, even at opening hour. The wait lines are long so you miss a lot mid-movie. The upper section has no bathrooms, but rather porta-potties, which aren't cleaned daily and are very dark at night. Another concern is projector brightness. Screen 1 has the brightest and largest screen and even dark themed movies are quite visible even in the rain. It helps that the projector is housed across the snack bar and very close to the screen. Screens 2 and 3 are projected from much farther away and into smaller screens. It seems that the projectors must be upgraded to liquid cooled laser projectors, whose brightness and clarity isn't affected with a proper lens. Instead in a dark themed movie, all one sees is only what is bright and so you're left guessing what's going on in the screen. This totally ruins the experience of going to the movies. There aren't many outdoor movie screens left and having the opportunity to enjoy one is an amazing experience. I truly hope and pray management addresses these issues, so that this establishment can continue to be enjoyed by generations upon generations!

I remember seeing movies there as a kid and I am pleased to be able to see live shows as an adult. (They still show current movies at the crazy low price of $4.) As old time theaters go, the Roxy is on the small side. But its grand art deco design and decor rivals any larger playhouse. Anywhere you look--the walls, ceilings, stage--you are reminded that generations of theater-goers sat in that same spot for over a century. It's nostalgic, cozy and magical. We have lost so many historic theaters in this area... this one deserves the public's support. Because of it's smaller size, there's not a bad seat in the house. We were seated halfway down the aisle, on the furthest right of three sections, and had no difficulty seeing every inch of the stage. Seats, while not luxurious, were comfortable. The theater does its best regarding accessibility. Though, it might be a challenge to navigate the small lobby, where the refreshment bar is, when filled with people. There is a dedicated wheelchair section in the theater, but also enough space to wheel down the aisles. As I understand it, there are restrooms on the first level, but also a small ladies (2 stalls and a tiny sink) up a narrow flight of stairs. The snack bar is limited with popcorn, candy and a variety of drinks. The butter seemed fresh, but I was a bit disappointed that my popcorn wasn't hot. I don't know a thing about "acoustics", but from my seat, the sound level was perfectly fine and the singing was clear. Overall we had a lovely time and look forward to returning for more live shows.
