Sausages were strange and not tasty. Home fries lacked flavor. But most aggravating was the service. One waitperson was busy while the waitress we had was not but because she chose to talk with friends or spend time texting our service was not acceptable. She certainly didn't focus on the customers to the extent that the other waitress brought us our food and refilled our coffee while our waitress was busy texting. Wont be going here again as there's simply no excuse for bad sand ignorant service

There are even a couple of bistro tables outside on the sidewalk. So you have choices. We arrived just after noon time and the place was packed. Our waitress provided both breakfast and lunch menus. Their coffee and espresso is made with Lavazza beans, which I love, and even though I wasn't sure if I wanted breakfast or lunch, I got a coffee. Mmmm. Cream was served in a small pitcher/creamer with my coffee. I was offered refills on coffee multiple times during our visit. I also asked if they have maple syrup or just pancake syrup. They have the real deal, just ask. Pancake syrup, s&p, sweeteners and ketchup are on the table. I ordered a Greek Salad and added tuna salad on top for a bit more protien. The salad came with warm, fluffy pita bread and dressing on the side. This salad is quite big. Definitely enough to share and everything was very fresh. My travel buddy got the ultimate grilled cheese which is a big sandwich. Bacon, tomato and lots of cheeses on sour dough. The onion rings are an upcharge (says that on the menu) and from the taste, I wonder if they use a sweet onion like Walla Walla. The tempura batter by itself is not sweet, so it must be the type of onion they use. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive checking in on us throughout our visit. She chatted with several customers as if everyone is a 'regular'. Every staff member we encountered was smiling and friendly. Restrooms are located in a hallway, behind a clearly marked door, off the dining room. They are updated and very clean. Located in a strip mall style building they share parking with the other businesses in front and back of the building. I honestly did not notice if a handicapped spot was near the entrance, but there is at least one in the lot. At less than twenty dollars per person, this was an all together, very good lunch stop.

It was roughly 2pm and we'd yet to have anything to eat. We were hungry. We decided to try to get out of Boston proper before trying to find a bite. Thank goodness for the local Yelp Community in the burbs of Boston, helping us find this gem. We were seated right away and able to put in our orders quickly as well. I opted for their eggplant parmesan sandwich. It comes served on an italian roll and is cheesy deliciousness. It was the perfect amount of sauce to add flavor without being too saucy and messy. It's easily eaten like a sandwich (ie: no need to bust out a fork and knife) and was just overall tasty. I got sweet potato fries on the side which were equally tasty. Our server was beyond friendly and just pitch perfect throughout our experience. The prices are reasonable, the inside is cute as a button (they currently have a beautifully decorated and twinkle lit Thanksgiving tree), and it's a women-owned-business--what's not to love? We do not drink our coffees with syrups but the lady mentioned that their syrups are all homemade, which sounded pretty cool! I asked for recommendations on the breakfast sandwiches and was recommended the pesto one, it had ham in it but when I mentioned I didn't eat meat they adapted and substituted it for me. The sandwich was delicious, flavorful, and fresh! We also had a regular egg and cheese on an english muffin and thought it was great! The inside of the coffee shop is super cute and clean. I also thought that it was priced really well! Felt like it was worth every penny which is really rare these days. We will definitely be back when in the area.

My husband who is not gluten free also loved this place and had an egg sandwich one day, and some sort of tater tot bowl the second day! It was super easy to order, and I was intrigued by the build-your-own breakfast sandwich. I got a sweetened matcha (hot) paired with a sandwich made with pita bread, scrambled eggs, pepper jelly, and Boursin cheese (a unique option which I thought would add some interesting flavors). The entire meal of food + drink was perfectly filling post-run. Seating isn't ample, but there are options---countertop at the window for people-watching, or cozier seating by the back wall. It's definitely in a central location of Salem and I can see this place being a local favorite!

It's not the quietest place to do work, so I don't know if I'd recommend doing meetings here, but it could be a good place to work from "home" if your job doesn't require you to join a lot of calls. We worked here for the morning but ended up heading home since we had a lot of calls today. I do have to give a shoutout to the bathroom! This bathroom was definitely designed by a woman and I thought it was great. Spacious, clean, cute wallpaper, diffuser and room spray, AND free tampons with applicators? This bathroom really had it all and I thought it went above and beyond what most cafes have.

Also I think I've seen people here mention how nice the bathroom is and it's pretty cute! Be sure to check it out lol My one gripe is that this place is TINY and gets VERY LOUD in the morning since so many people are here.
