    Eggs Benedict and Hashbrowns

Stopped here on the way back to Boston after an early morning at the beach in Gloucester. The staff are SO kind and the food was a classic and great breakfast. My first time having eggs Benedict and I definitely don't have any regrets. Thanks for the kind welcome!

Maple St. Cafe is a great addition to Danvers' downtown! We were big fans of Chuck's and were really sad to lose it. I am so glad that Maple St. opened in this location, and we are back to having a great breakfast option in town! I have been twice now - once for breakfast and once for lunch and had a great meal both times. It is incredibly clean inside, the service is very good, and the food is as well. Definitely stop in for breakfast - it is a wonderful choice!

I went in at 7:02am and got the friendliest waitress. She took my order and food was done by 7:09. So fast and delicious!

Quick, non-fussy service. The pancakes were good and simple. The place is a bit loud.

Good vibes. Quick service. Food quality was the main driver for the review. Surprisingly inexpensive for the quality. Kudo's to the people that are running this place.

The corned beef is large chunks, not small diced pieces found in most commercial and canned hash. The potatoes, peppers, and onions gave a nice texture and flavor. I had it topped with two over medium eggs which were perfectly cooked. As I was eyeing the French toast, he gave me a single piece which included their fruit infused whipped cream and was really, really good! That might be my entree next time. My friend got the crepes and her face was doing happy expressions while she was eating. My new best friend Maria kept my coffee mug full-she visited the table frequently to make sure my mug never got low nor cold. She also took care to clean the table promptly as plates were finished. Now if my kids could learn that... oh wait, this is a diner review. The ambiance is cute and chic. There was easy access to accommodate wheel chairs and they have their menu clearly marked for gluten free available and vegan options (most of the menu). The menu is on the fancier side; they will prepare whatever someone wants (e.g. if someone just wants 2 eggs and bacon, they can easily do that). The location is on Main St. so parking is hit or miss. If you are nearby and want something good, this is a good option!

The coffee is really well-made, though if you're ordering one of their specialty drinks, just a heads-up that they lean a little on the sweeter side. As for the food, the portions are huge! We ordered a side of bacon and I'm pretty sure we ate about 10 pieces and still left with a box. While the pancakes were just okay and probably something I'd skip next time to make room for new items, the rest of the meal was solid enough to keep me coming back. One thing you have to try is their signature ketchup. It's super interesting--almost like a cross between American Ketchup and Asian Banana Ketchup. We definitely needed a few extra helpings of ketchup for our eggs and hash bowl! The atmosphere is such a vibe, too; it has this modern-meets-ranch feel with a super cute rooster mural on the wall that ties it all together. Plus, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. It's a great spot to fuel up for the day!

VPH is simply fabulous. Not just because the food is almost always good, but because the people who…read morerun it are great people. The menu is huge so you have to try things and find what you like. Some things, like in every restaurant, can be skipped. In my review, I'd like to highlight the turkey dinner. It's one of the best. Traditional, bountiful, and delicious. You won't regret it. I've tried many others in the area and they don't deliver. The place is historic, simple, and busting. The background music is right up my 60 year old alley... I love it. Cathy and Ed just can't be beat. They make everybody feel cared for and important, something hard to find these days. There are people who've been coming to this place their whole lives. It's crazy and I love it. So... Don't grouse, try something different and fall in love with the VPH. You'll be back!

The quick start comes with two eggs, potatoes, choice of bacon or sausage, fruit or warm apples, and toast. It was very filling. I wasn't a big fan of the fruit, it had a weird aftertaste for me. Everything else was good. Tip: they are cash only, so remember to have cash on hand if you're planning to stop by.
