The owner cares about his business and he's been there every time we go. It's great to support an owner who is committed. My nieces and nephews love the food here and they are picky eaters. That says a lot for kids. Favorite meats there for me are the: brisket and the pulled pork Honestly, though, you can't go wrong with the tri tip or ribs either and I love their corn bread. Their Mac and cheese is so good I had to control myself so the kids could have some. Ambiance is like going to a BBQ picnic. Stop by and support this place. You'll love the food. Guy taking our order seemed like a chill dude, tried to crack a joke, but my coworkers are awkward. Not really sports people and I'm an introvert. Sorry about that. Lol. Self-served water to the left of the register and plenty of sauce. There were 3 different kinds I believe. My coworkers grabbed them and I only tried the ghost pepper one? That's what he said. A nice kick to the bbq sauce. I approve. One of my coworkers and I our picks and it was the best way to do it for a little taste of each and not get tired of the flavor. Best thing hands down was the chili cheese tots. So good! Even better that there were no beans! We don't do beans. Brisket was nice and tender. One of my other coworkers mentioned that the pulled pork was really good as well- it wasn't dry and had seasoning. Ribs and hot links were standard. The cornbread threw me off the most. I knew it said garlic and I like garlic, but boy, there was GARLIC. It wasn't for me, but it could be for someone else. They also have Mexican coke! Perfect bevy for bbq.

I wasn't expecting such a fantastic salad from a bbq spot! It was HUGE, covering the whole tray/plate. And ot wasn't all lettuce like some other restaurants. This had a generous amount of very fresh fruits and vegetables - apples, cucumbers tomatoes, bell peppers, black berries. It also had the most delicious candied walnuts, and blue cheese. I had added the brisket also.

The location that we went to is located next to Maggiano's Little Italy in Santana Row on Olin Ave. There is a free 2 hour parking structure across of the restaurant where my boyfriend and I parked at. We came during their Lunch Specials (until 4pm) and Happy Hour (from 3-5:30pm) which worked perfectly as we wanted something smaller in portion compared to the dinner portions. We started off with drinks. I got their Pig Ol' Bitties Blonde Ale, and my boyfriend got their Friday Beer & Shot special of This Little Piggy Went to [Mark]et with a 16 oz Dirty Little Pig IPA and a shot of Benchmark whiskey. My fault for having him get a whiskey shot on an empty stomach, though HAHA. He did like how smooth the whiskey was at least! We shared a 2-meat BBQ Lunch Combo Plate, and honestly, we should have gotten 3 meats because of how tender and delicious everything was! We got their Tri Tip and Sliced Brisket with their Garlic Mash and server recommended Sweet Potato Tots. Ahhh, everything was so good! Aside from the tender, flavorful meats, the two sides, especially the garlic mash, were sooooo good. We both loved everything! It was definitely a great choice coming during lunch as we were quite full after ordering one of their happy hour shareables of Chips & Queso (kind of pricey even for happy hour in my opinion for chips and cheese). Honestly wished we got their Chili Cheese Fries or their other fries which were the same price than just chips and dip LOL. But it was a good hold over food with us drinking a bit (at least for me). Shoutout to the only server who was working on a late Friday afternoon as she was doing her best to accommodate everyone + trying to clean up the previous tables. It was kind of sad seeing that the other workers didn't help bus the tables in my opinion. Overall, a great place to watch sports and have some good whiskey as this restaurant is known for their whiskey selections! The lunch BBQ exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely come back for another lunch special meal but probably with 3 meats this time!

We ordered 3 servings of purple rice but they were out of it, but still charged me for it on my bill (which I didn't realize until after I left the restaurant). As for the bbq entrees, the chungdam galbi is consistently my favorite galbi out of the 3. If you like savory more than sweet, then you would probably like the best seller yangnyeom galbi more. the brisket was not notable at all, which is consistent with my previous experience of ordering it in the past. the beef tartare comes with nori that you scoop the beef tartare on top of and eat in one bite. It was good and I did enjoy it, but I don't know if I liked it enough to order it again in the future. The seabass was also good and flavorful. Other ingredients in the dish included rice cake, tofu, and radish. I would be down to re-order the sea bass again in the future just so that there's an entree on the table that isn't meat. As for complimentary banchan, there was raw marinated crab, fish cake, potato salad, kim chi, marinated/fermented spinach (?), and another pickled vegetable side dish that I didn't know the name of but it was yummy.
