There is only outside seating at this restaurant so if it looks full, then it is probably full. There is also only one waiter so service was a bit slow, but you can use that time to take in Venice and its surroundings. The pizza oven is located behind the front window so you can watch them make the pizza. I ordered the Vienne pizza (tomato, mozzarella, and frankfurt) and it fills up the entire plate. Not as heavy as American pizza, I definitely prefer the original Italian pizza for its taste and softer, thinner crust. There is a 12% service charge and 1 liter water costs 3.50 euros. The pizza was 9 euros, which seems quite standard around Venice since it is a tourist trap and everything is just overly expensive.

The menu is varied and we all got different dishes (sorry I forgot the photos! I was pretty tired and hungry). Everyone agreed the food was good and the men were happy with the size of their beer! The outdoor seating on the Grand Canal, across from the Venice St. Lucia station is lovely and very convenient whether you are arriving or departing. This is a great place to get a bite to eat when spending a day in Venice.

They don't just have AC, it actually works, and is set to a temp where you can feel some difference. Inside is very nicely appointed, cozy but not so much that you are falling ontop of other people. The kitchen has delicious smells from it, and the staff is attentive with excellent recommendations. We got started with a round of various spritz, I went with a campari and my sis got the Aperol. These were very generous pours and ice cold. Super refreshing after our hot travel day. We decided on burrata as an appetizer, and this was easily the best burrata we have made, which makes some sense... it was our first burrata outside the U.S. For lunch, it was pizzas and pastas all around, no surprise there. All things ordered were superb, particularly the pesto pasta and the pizza with fresh mozz, sundried tomatoes, and prosciutto. I am certain whatever you order will be made very well. Prices here were very competitive with other places in the area, and the restaurant itself is located in a lovely square where there was a neighborhood festival being set up. If there were not so many restuarants to explore, we would have definitely dined here again.

Plenty of table outside to watch the world go by - mostly pretty full, but there are always some guests coming and going. A quick wait does the trick. Got a good table and ordered our Cicchetti inside. They do table service here, so you won't carry your Cicchetti out on your own. A nice little service, not even coperto is charged. Despite being a very busy place, the waiting staff does a great job. Got some cicchetti with sardines, radicchio, bacalau/cream, bacalau with sour onions and raisins and also shrimp with sour onions and raisins. The latter two sound adventerous, but were excellent. A fantastic combination of flavors. Sweet and sour. All cicchetti were really tasty, nice combinations, very creative. Ingredients of high quality. The white wine went well with them. Had also some meatballs with. Decent, but not great. But the cicchetti definitely were. Prices are fair as well. Surely must-visit if you're into cicchetti (and wine). Nice place, nice setting. Surely we'll be back.

If there is a wait for a table stick with it as the head waiter politely moves folks along as they finish. You walk through the small restaurant in a very specific direction to order your snacks from a glass case. The waiter then delivers to your table. Each one we had was incredible with my two favorites being the mortadella sprinkled with crushed pistachios and tuna with black olives. Zemei I guess means twins so the inside is plastered with adorable pictures of twins. The Aperol spritzes and house red were fabulous. Prices beyond fair - a real deal for the experience.
