Goldilocks would love Il Fuoco pizza because it is the perfect balance between thick crust and ultra thin crusts pizza. I have been several times, both for dine in and take out and have always had a great experience. The ambiance is always fun with good music and interesting old movies on the screens. Recommend! read more

I'm sorry to say the pizza we ordered last night was perhaps the worst we have ever had. Even though it is wood fired, the crust was very disappointing. read more

I have not eaten inside, the many times I have ordered has been for pick up. That being said, they have the best THIN CRUST pizza in town. Lovely salads and appetizers- this place does not disappoint. Hopefully I will dine in one of these days. read more

Great pizza. It was fantastic. Delivery was fast. Driver was courteous. Good vibes. Best pizza we've had in Sonoma!

WTF pizza is delicious! Flavor are on point! We loved Cochon Volant so we had to try their new restaurant. We got the pizza to go so the middle was a little soggy but I think if we would have had it there that would not be an issue. Will definetly have to try it at the restaurant. Price is normal for a pizza in the area. read more

Delicious, thin crust pizza. We tried their mushroom and WTF and both were a hit. Good even the next day as leftovers.

Came in tonight around 8pm 4/7/24. I've always wanted to try this place, I drive past it constantly and decided tonight was the night. I ordered a pretty big order and tipped well. The puttanesca pizza I bought looked like someone was hungry and decided to eat a slice for themselves. Or it's a chuck e cheese situation where they put together different pieces of pizza to form a whole one. When you go to pay for a pizza you expect to have a whole pizza and not a piece missing. It's strange and off putting. I don't think anyone would willingly buy food with a piece taken off. By the time I got home and noticed it was 8:50 a few minutes before they closed. It really wasn't worth the effort to call and complain about it. I was excited to try this spot, but my experience was definitely a let down. Just a waste of money. read more

Il Fuoco - It looks like either two separate pizzas put together with cheese thrown on top to hide it, or someone just ate a piece.. - Pizza Near Me - Sonoma, California

Great mushroom pizza, fresh cheese and wood burning oven. Worth driving up for a scrumptious meal.

I'll preface by saying I'm not a chef, but my uncle owns one of the most popular pizza spots in DC and I've been to Italy... so I'm an amateur, right? Anyway, we Stopped in on a Thursday evening after wine tasting. We started with the Cacio e Pepe Arancini which was very good - crispy outside, gooey inside... tasty. We then began to eat the Mushroom pizza and the Puttanesca pizza, both of which were VERY salty. I assumed the Puttanesca would be because anchovies and capers, but it must be their dough. The generous shavings of Parmesan on the crust were a nice touch but may have exacerbated the saltiness. The Puttanesca was borderline inedible but I was hungry AF. I couldn't eat them for long, let alone often. The dough was chewy/gummy... crust was good and crispy though. Also the cheese OVER the toppings is a choice that I'm not 100% on board with. We took them as leftovers and ate just the Mushroom pie the next day, just to make sure we weren't trippin from the days wine activities... however, still salty the next day. Overall not great, and I would look elsewhere before stopping here again. Though I would try other menu items again. The service was quick and friendly. Pricing was fair. The wine was good. read more

My feedback for the owner, be respectful , pleasant and polite to your customers. I didn't complain about the wine I asked which one was more Oakey? If you don't have that simply say " oh this is probably the best one for you? Not " We Don't do that" ( snarky). We told one of your servers we wanted to be outside and they told us to move when one became available. It did and so we moved and helped bus the table. You told me "I'm tired of You giving me lip" HONESTLY who says that to a paying customer. I went there once for take out and you were rude. I then decided to give you a second chance because I like the food and brought back 10 local paying customers. Step aside. You staff is great you are not . Apparently I'm not the only one read your reviews !!!!!!!!!!! And BE NICE read more

This review is solely on the pie. The spices in the filling were overwhelming; the crust was bland, and the whipped cream was unsweetened. The pie isn't something I would go back for. I have high hopes and am excited to try the pizza based on the great reviews. I will update my review as soon as I get to try their pizza. read more

Finally tried Il Fuoco today and is was fantastic. Elevated Italian with such attention to quality, texture and flavor. Great portions as well. Will definitely order again soon! read more

October 28, 2021: OPENING NIGHT!! Flawless! Finally, an artisan, wood fire craft pizza in Sonoma! Hurrah and hurry! The very best pizza in a very long time. Great prices. Great inventive pizza options, impressive ingredients and varietals. Great value priced. Best of all: the best pizza dough since Frank Peppe's pizza in New Haven!! I say HURRY because we need this owner/entrepreneur to succeed! This pizzeria needs to become a local institution. Please check it out. Here are some pics. The "meat Zha" pizza shown here is called the "WTF" and recalls their owners' expertise as a master barbecuer; the meats are Smokey and melt in your mouth tender. The other pizza shown here is an eggplant pizza that I added sausage as an extra topping. Yummmm! The eggplant is fully cooked and tender; there is also a subtle lemon accent taste. Totally enjoyable! Try it. Also shown here is a slice of their caramelized apple pie. Amazing, too. read more

My husband and I came to try out the Pizza and we were not disappointed. It was very tasty. I had the fresh clams white pizza and YES they were fresh. My honey he got the pepperoni and added some copa red sauce we can not wait to go back and enjoy more. I loved the crust it was a rustic and soft dough and great flavor. As a added bonus they keep not boring red pepper flakes on the table but smoky pepper flakes. Could not stop eating them. read more

If you want a decent pizza, it's a good spot. Don't go there if you're looking for even at least decent service, even for takeout. I spent almost $100 on takeout for three pizzas (including tip), and when I walked in, there was no hello, no smile, just a look. And when my order was brought out, not even a look at the handover. Did I even get a "thank you" or a "have a good evening"? Seems like a little too much to ask for... Having spent over 15 years in the industry, I can't fathom treating a guest even remotely that poorly. Very disappointing. read more

Ordered the WTF pizza- So Good! I hadn't been here since it was BBQ but Im really glad I drove in. Great pizza. Im definitely coming bak read more

The crust here is maybe my favorite I've ever had, salty and flavorful, with great texture. We had the mushroom and the clam pizzas, both were delicious. Highly recommend eating there so you can have it fresh and hot. They have great seating options inside and outside, so there's no excuse! read more

When it was Cochon Volant, it was my favorite barbecue place whenever I visited Sonoma. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect when I showed up to find it had become a pizza restaurant, but I love pizza almost as much as I love bbq. In keeping with the restaurant's bbq roots, a specialty pizza called WTF is available (bacon, bbq brisket, bbq pork, sausage). Yeah, I ordered that. Very good! So, anyway, I now have a new favorite pizza place whenever I visit Sonoma. read more

Solid pizzeria in Sonoma with incentive specialty pizzas. My girlfriend gives high marks with the sauce being the weakest element in her opinion. I'm gluten free and really enjoyed their crust. I think it's a store bought one common in the area, but they do it well and I've had no issues with contamination eating there (although I'm not the most sensitive.) read more

So good! The prosciutto pizza is the best pizza I've had in Sonoma and one of the best pizzas I've had anywhere in my life. It was delicious and the sauce and crust, the amount of cheese, just everything was perfect. And it was still hot when it was delivered! Their pepperoni is also fantastic. Loved it, thank you for making such delicious pizza!! read more

Being a local of Sonoma County, and living just a few miles from this spot: I can assure you that their food is something to remember. I rely on this spot to impress my visitors and being in the industry myself, Appreciate the detail and execution to not only their pizza but the appetizers. The crust is to die for, the creativity outstanding and they also started to offer live music on some late night weekends. If you're a local or a visitor, I highly recommend checking this place out. You won't regret it! read more

Saw this place on Guy Fieri's Diners Drive-ins and Dives when it was a bbq place. lol was surprised it had turned into a pizza place but we tried it anyway. Good pizza, nice outdoor vibe. Food and service were excellent. We sampled a couple different pizzas. One mushroom and one WTF. Try the lavender lemonade!

The pizza sauce was not authentic at all. I don't believe they used olive oil. The meatballs were okay but again the bad sauce. Wedge salad wasn't bad but the croutons on it were stale or rancid. read more

Cute little spot with the best pizza in town. They regularly have specials too, so you can always try something new and not get bored of the menu (other locals can probably relate). There are some other things besides pizza too, but of those I've only tried the appetizers--they are, of course, delicious as well (especially the artichoke). Ingredients taste fresh and high quality, and you really can't beat a wood-fired pizza in my opinion. read more

Everybody was friendly. The owner is right up my alley. He was comical and direct . I like that , I'm not looking for fake friendliness I'm looking for good food. My wife and I got the wtf pizza. Half way through we said this is awesome let's try a different pizza to see if they are all this good. Both pizzas were delicious and fast served. They had a beautiful pie on the counter. We ate as much pizza as we could until we were in a happy comma. We decided since we are on vacation and likely won't be in the area again to get pie too. It tasted like grandma made it special for your birthday. I dig the sense of humor the owner had, I appreciate the food and the employees. I wish this place was back home but thankful it's not because I would need a bigger size pants. Good job fire! read more

This was our 3rd visit, and I'm not sure what pizza style they are going for, but unfortunately it was salty, greasy, and soggy. I believe it had parsley sprinkled on top, and cold shredded cheese around the crust. I really liked the dough, but the quality of topings left much to be desired. read more
