We do not have an IKEA nearby so this was a special treat to come and explore. The store is rather maze like and at times I was overwhelmed by the selection available. There was just so much to see! We ended up with a large bag full of products to purchase and shockingly the prices were quite low and affordable. The staff working were helpful when we had any question. It was a casual and welcoming vibe. I would also like to highlight the cafeteria experience. We had to try the famous Swedish meatballs plate. the food was delicious and I liked being able to pick two sides. I thought they designated the sides for you but we had options. A great way to spend a few hours. I wish we had an IKEA in the Rochester area.

It's just simply cheap and amazing, and everyone works there are so kind, I love the vibe. Don't forget to check their clearance section, I got some really good deal there

I like this more current "can do" self serve coffee/tea/etc. machine in the restaurant; free coffee/tea with the IKEA Family card.

IKEA stores in other places - 1 of 2 "A REGULAR IKEA" This IKEA must be old(er). It doesn't look like the newer ones, either inside the store or inside the restaurant, which is really the only part of an IKEA I visit. But it's an okay place. If a secondary metro area has an IKEA, there will only be one. That's the situation in the Pittsburgh area. That said, it's always interesting to try to figure out why they put their store where they did. This IKEA is located to the south and west of the city. It is close to the airport and on the freeway spur (with too few lanes) that is nearby. That said, IKEA Pittsburgh is more reachable from the newer suburbs and business parks on the west side and sedate neighborhoods on the south shore side of the tunnels. This means that it's not an easy trek from downtown, CMU, Pitt, and the established and gentrified neighborhoods nearby. Perhaps it's an excursion for these folks! But, north shore dwellers can take that dogleg of I-79 that, instead of going downtown, has them cross the river to the west of it and puts them closer to the airport ... and IKEA. The food here was fairly good and standard fare. The service was fine. The restaurant is upstairs and what really stands out here is that the restaurant has an outdoor terrace. It's funky in that it is separated from adjacent parts of the roof by something that resembles a white picket fence. I have eaten both inside and on the terrace. Obviously, you couldn't eat outside during inclement weather, but it's not even that nice when it's hazy and humid outside. The store has the standard IKEA merchandise. I appreciate it when, after visiting their restaurant, I can exit the store quickly instead of being put through the IKEA labyrinth, which is obviously part of their business model. That's how it is here, which, to me, is a good thing! There are some of us who stop at IKEA for a quick, inexpensive meal and to regroup while doing so. If you are truly an IKEA patron in the "holistic" sense of the word, then you will probably like this store and, if you're from this area, then this is your only IKEA and it may be your 4 star experience. If you drop into an IKEA for a quick bite or a meal, and you've seen their stores in other cities, it might be closer to a 3 star event.

As someone from Buffalo with no direct access to an IKEA, the premise of visiting the legendary Swedish store has always been exciting to me. I finally got to venture into this IKEA a few weeks ago, and boy, was it a great experience. As I anticipated, the shopping experience here is confusing at first. The store is divided into different sections, and there are different shopping carts depending on what you're there for. Our intention was to find a dining table and chairs and while we were able to do that, our first and second choices were out of stock so we had to settle on something that was just a-ok in our minds. We've since built the chairs, which were easy, but haven't had a chance to make the table yet. I'm assuming it'll be a relatively painless experience. As for everything else -- we were able to get our hands on a lot of neat stuff for our new apartment. Anything you might need, they'll likely have, and it all comes in at a decent price. The food court was closed when we visited, but their famous Swedish meatballs looked delicious based on the menu. Guess I'll have to make another trip!

We impulsively went to IKEA on Saturday to look for a tv stand after getting fed up with how our tv looked on top of the mantle. I was tired of seeing all our wires hanging down and knew I didn't have plans for the afternoon. Off to IKEA we went! The couple times we visited during 2021 they were out of many items once you got down to the warehouse section. I was always frustrated because I would browse through the showrooms taking photos of all my favorite pieces. Once I got down to the warehouse and found the aisles and bins, they were all sold out, or not even in stock. I was hoping this time would be different, but sadly it was not. I'm not sure if it is still because of supply chain issues, being short staffed, or just that everyone is doing home projects right now. Regardless, we enjoyed looking through the showrooms and getting new ideas. It was totally jam packed on Saturday though! I must have always gone on weeknights before. The real reason I am writing this review is because we ate in the IKEA cafeteria for the first time since I was a kid. We planned on grabbing something on the way, but Robinson was such a zoo we just wanted to get in IKEA. Once we saw the lines for the checkout snaking all the way through the warehouse, we thought we better eat since we were getting hangry. The IKEA cafeteria is so funny to me. They have meals like smoked salmon, Swedish meatballs, veggie balls, chicken fingers, and more. Everything is SO affordable and is served hot. We got in line and each ordered a meal - I tried the veggie balls that came with rice pilaf and veggies (literally $4) and my boyfriend got the Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes. It was so cheap and hit the spot. I wouldn't go there specifically for the food, but it was nice to have a full hot lunch randomly while we were there. They also had chocolate cake and almond cake that most people in line picked up. We were totally counting on getting a hot cinnamon roll at the checkout, but the cafe was closed! I was so sad! I even looked through the food section while my boyfriend waited in line for the checkout to see if they had packs of cinnamon rolls to go. They didn't have them anymore! What a bummer. We did find a great tv stand that was only $100, and I got a new desk chair too! I hope IKEA has more items in stock soon, but either way we will likely visit a few more times this year.

IKEA offers a fun and convenient shopping experience. The Swedish restaurant is delicious, and offers some great vegetarian options (I really appreciated that the employee serving me said which ones contained animal products, not just meat). The food and prices are great! As for the products, I am always happy with the quality and price. Instead of buying a lower quality alternative from Amazon and paying almost twice as much, I stopped for a simple, well-done option at IKEA. My only problem with IKEA is that it is almost impossible to leave only with the items you were planning to buy. Looking forward to shopping here again!

I have been here several times throughout the years while traveling but I totally forgot how lame and small this IKEA is. I came here for the veggie balls and candles, but I left annoyed by the employees and their piss poor attitudes and zero personalities. Hey IKEA! Three simple words; Retrain, Retrain, Retrain

I happened to be and town and decided to go on Sunday. Luckily it happened that Sunday morning worked best for me so I got there almost as they opened and this made the trip SO much less torturous. Very few customers (but so there were also very few workers) were inside. I wanted help with a tv stand but could not find anyone to help me so that's why I gave four stars. They are also out of a lot of stuff just fyi, I understand that this is the normal currently, this didn't bother me that much. As Always with IKEA only one register was open but they now have self check out which is fine I guess. But you have to have a card to use,FYI! Anyways wasn't a bad trip. They have cute stuff as everyone knows.

I was here recently to pick up some put-it-together-yourself items. I ordered online for pickup. The app isn't the best, has a few bugs, but I was able to get through eventually and place my order. From there it was all smooth sailing. There are designated parking spaces for pick up. Or as they call it: Click & Collect. I parked, and clicked the "Check-in" link in the order-is-ready e-mail. Within a couple moments, a person comes out of the building pulling a cart with my stuff on it. She even helped me get it into the back of my suv. I was on my way within 5 minutes of arriving! Great experience!

IKEA STATES TO BE HAPPY w your purchase. They should have a large sign that says plants are not returnable. I have a green thumb and my success with plants so I brought this one back and was going to buy two more but they would not return the one that did not survive even under plant bulbs 2* on this merchandise.

I can't IKEA on Earth Day weekend and I will have to say that they were fantastic with the event that we're going on at the store. There was a ton of stuff for little kids to do as well as adults and they were giving out freebies. My favorite part of Ikea is the fact that my nephew whenever he comes to visit loves to go to the ball pit and the kids zone which is free for parents. What's better than dropping your kid off to go play in a supervised environment while you go shop around the store and get your free Ikea cup of coffee from the cafe. I was really happy with the flower bombs that we made during their kids craft event. They were so unique and beautiful and my nephew's loved playing with their hands and then planting the seeds later. I love when companies take a proactive approach and include kids in activities. And then after everyone was done we went to the cafe and got the $2 to hot dogs and a drink combo. Really this was the cheapest lunch I've ever purchased when they've come to visit. I'm not saying I'm a cheap aunt but I'm saying that if this is what my nephew's want and it cost that little why not try it out with your kids. Going out to Ikea on the weekend might not be everyone's cup of tea but sometimes for events like this it's totally worth it. Look to see what they're doing in the upcoming holidays and see what happens you might stumble along a fun event and get some flower bombs in the process.

Are masks required in the store?

What time does food stop being served?

The website says that the restaurant is closed Mon-Thurs, and open Fri-Sun 11am - 7pm . Not sure if that helps, but that's what I could find!

I have also come to the realization that you don't always need to buy new when you are looking for unique. I really enjoyed this place because they have something for just about everybody in here. What one person may find tacky another will enjoy immensely. The downstairs is setup nicely. You can easily maneuver through the area and see everything they have on display. Don't think that this is all that they have in store, venture upstairs. Upstairs takes a little more time to go through. But it is still a great area to go through. I was drawn to this map of the city, of course I was too late as it was sold. Would make a great wall piece. There were also an abundance of globes that were dated, but kind of awesome. I also eyed in on a coat rack, but had to talk myself out of it as I really didn't need it. Don't mind the noise when you are upstairs as this sits underneath Arsenal Bowling. At least don't think that there was another floor to this and that they were moving furniture around, as my friend did. Really amusing and confusing to the employee when we were in here.

I thought it was my fault and that the slipcover wasn't washable so I didn't contact the company at that time. About 2 years later, I was looking for a chair to go in the room, and I showed the designer a picture of my room. She immediately commented that the slipcover looked too tight. I told her at that time that the slipcover shrunk after washing. After sending out people to look at the sectional, it was decided that they would split the cost of a new slipcover with me. However, the owner, Stacy, and the manufacturer would admit to no wrongdoing and would only say that the "new one shouldn't shrink." After spending over $25000 at their store, I wasn't prepared to pay any additional money to maybe rectify the situation. The most troubling aspect is that I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they didn't even have the decency or courtesy of responding or trying to work with me to resolve this problem. The designers and support staff are very helpful and supportive (with a great eye) which is the only reason that I gave the store 2 stars. Unfortunately, they and their customers are not supported by the owner. I have included pictures of the sectional with the tears that have occurred from trying to get the slipcover back on the sectional.
