I mean, what is there not to love about ikea! For over 15 yrs, this has been one of fav stores. I use to meet my friends at ikea in Brooklyn just to go on dates and just to walk around the store, not buy anything big just small things here and there in the kitchen/ home small goods area. You will definitely need a couple hours here to really take it all in but ikea is always a good idea even when you don't need anything. The staff is nice and the store is always clean and organized.

Good selection of goods. Love seeing the ready to go rooms. The planners they have are a great service. I prefer this location over the other one in DFW.

Promotion for my professional writing website, and its trove of articles and features. Cheers, Mark F.

IKEA is synonymous with design-centered focus, but its real appeal is value, with prices held equal. The Swedish interior decor company has been through massive redefining the business as a first renter prospective customer; going through the maze of rooms decorated with the classic clean, beautiful and functional furniture sends a big head rush through my brain and I'm not sure if the trip down memory lane comes with a return trip home. I am a child of the 1960s, who studied Psychology at The University of North Texas, graduating in 1985, when it changed its name from North Texas State University. I was very interested in the Psychology as it applies to the work centers for production and development of the products that the company sells. I taught OB overseas for Lincoln University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand, where they live in harmony with the natural environment, and maintain a serious no-Nukes policy for the preservation of Mother Earth. I love the IKEA meatballs, the vibe is unmatched absolute cinema if IKEA didn't exist, life would be bad and boring, I can't even forget my experiences at IKEA.

I mean seriously at these prices I could by everyone of these cute little guys

Gotta give 'em five stars today!!! I haven't been to this store in years. I wanted to look for a single item and go but, ended up getting all the rest of my shopping for Christmas done.. Im feeling great and thank you IKEA!!!

I'm visiting family in Texas and we decided we needed to have the IKEA experience since we don't have one in my town. My word, they have everything for your home! We didn't buy anything, but we got some ideas for changing the storage space in our bathroom. We were pretty hungry by the time we finished shopping, so we stopped at their restaurant to try their famous Swedish meatballs. They were pretty good, served with peas, mashed potatoes, gravy, and lingonberry sauce. I liked the drink section, which offered sparkling pear and sparkling lemon among other choices. My side salad was tasty, and they offer other sides if peas or potatoes don't work for you. They also have other menu options, like chicken thighs or salmon, main dish salads, etc. You'll have to wait in line, but it's certainly handy if you still have shopping to do.

IKEA also has two pokestops, if that is how you fill your time while your wife takes a million years to shop.

First time for me to visit an IKEA, although my wife loves the one in Portland, Oregon (closest store to where we live). Since we were in Dallas, I thought we should swing in so she could show me what she has been planning on buying. IKEA is a destination location. It is huge. I had no idea. They have a Swedish food court on the top floor because they know that people will die of starvation by the time they finish navigating this place. I'm pretty sure more people have been lost to the depths of time at IKEA than the entire history of humans in the Bermuda Triangle. The upper floor is laid out really well. It is easy to follow the different categories of rooms and furniture as you walk. However, the layout has you snaking all over the place (to maximize the space) and if you want to see kitchen stuff, for example, you have to walk for a while just to get to that area. And if you want to purchase something from that set up, you have to walk a very long time until you can get downstairs (where the stuff to buy is actually kept) and find it again down there. I can't imagine people actually getting lost here. I'm sure it happens, but there are exit signs everywhere. Problem is, they just point you another exit sign. And another. And another. They really need a way to stop in the middle of it all and take an elevator down to get out halfway. I realize IKEA prefers you see EVERYTHING, but to be more customer friendly, especially to older individuals or those that have difficulty walking, it would be very helpful After nearly two hours meandering through and looking at everything, I was thankful to finally make our one small purchase. Then, I saw a counter with a few food items on the monitors above it. 75 cent hot dogs and some types of expressos for dirt cheap. Score! The hot dog was basic and cheap, but that's fine. My wife got some ice cream in a cup. It is mimicking the Costco experience where you spend a ton of money, but at the end, you get some cheap food. It helps the customer feel like the "won" after potentially spending a bunch of money. It helped me feel like I won and I only bought one thing. IKEA is a neat place, but you better book some time for a visit. You can't stop part way through and trying to find an exit is laughable because there are dozens of exit signs that just lead you to the next exit sign as you must go through the entire maze to get out. There are no shortcuts. The Swedish food was reasonable and good and the little bit we got at the end downstairs helped us to feel like we "won." I have a feeling, based on how excited my wife was as we walked around and she pointed to how everything in the entire building would somehow fit perfectly into our house, that I will be back. Not this location as it is too far away, but if this was the closest IKEA to my home in Oregon, I wouldn't mind it. Just know what you are signing up for before you walk in the door.

We walked around this entire warehouse as we normally do whenever we go to IKEA. There was a number of yellow tags (Clearance items) today that we noticed. I can say, that Trey (self checkout) associate was friendly, attentive, and helpful. I don't think we've ever had a problem with our service at any IKEA store.

We've bought from Ashley, from Havertys from Macy's, and we've bought from a couple of high-end hand made furniture stores in the past 22 years. But we've NEVER found anything that holds up like our Amish furniture. About 11 years ago we decided to splurge and bought a dining room set with eight chairs, coffee table, end tables and a full bedroom set. We have two rowdy boys who love to play around. 11 years later everything still looks almost brand new!! In addition the customer service from the family owned store in Frisco is just amazing...they were very kind and patient with our i decisiveness, and very much willing to work with us on customized pieces- they gave us a good discount for buying multiple rooms and in the end, i know we have paid less bc we did not have to replace furniture every 5-10 years.

Their prices were about $100/chair more than Austin's prices. The table we wanted, she wasn't familiar with, even though Ron at the Austin store knew exactly what it was style wise. We purchased 8 Galveston style chairs and an 84" Tressel style expandable table. It was worth the drive to Autin for a savings of over. $1,000!

I was beginning to feel like Goldilocks after repeatedly coming across ones that were too soft, too firm, too big, too small, etc., on a mission to find ones that were just right. Just as other yelpers have pointed out, this store is full of salespeople yet very few showed any interest in us while we meandered through the upstairs and downstairs showrooms. This isn't a problem for me personally because I'd rather browse in peace without the added pressure of being followed and watched like a hawk. As we were walking towards the door, ready to check this place off our list and move on to the next furniture store, an orange-y brown leather sofa caught my eye. My immediate thought was that it might be nice if only it were in another color, then lo and behold I spotted leather swatches nearby in a handful of colors. Suddenly, not one but two different salespeople stopped to offer assistance. After a brief but successful sales pitch, the next thing we knew we were practically skipping out of the store in glee, receipt in hand, having FINALLY found our new sofa and loveseat, which we ordered in black. We were told that it would take about 10 weeks for our furniture to arrive, but it actually only took half that time. The entire delivery process was hassle free. They had openings within the next couple of days with short windows of time. When the delivery guys showed up they were on time and quick but careful while dropping off our pieces. Our new sofa and loveseat look great and feel well manufactured. I haven't noticed any flaws thus far. After they have had some time to get worn in and thoroughly tested by our in home quality control group (i.e. kids) I'll update my review.
